Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 4 Dudley Dursley and the 175 cm solid cast iron wand

Harry looked at his cousin curiously. The wand was quite long, almost like a bayonet, and it didn't seem very light when he weighed it.

"There doesn't seem to be any weight requirement for a wand, except..."

The old man's competitive spirit was aroused. After all, he was one of the top three wand makers in Europe. How could he be stumped by this greenhorn?

After rummaging through the cluttered and cramped lockers for a long time, Ollivander finally found another option.

"Oak, same dragon heartstring, same size."

Ollivander pushed his wand in front of Dudley unhappily and thought to himself, at least it's made of the same material as Hagrid's wand, and among the celebrities in the wizarding world, there's no one taller and stronger than Hagrid, right?

Dudley picked up his wand and waved it vigorously, but still pouted and shook his head.

"It doesn't fit my hand, it doesn't fit my hand!"

The old man was confused.

Are you here to buy a baton or a magic wand?

How could there be such a guy?

What does he want to do?

Do you think magic is cast by swinging your arms?

Ollivander's eyes became strange, he looked Dudley up and down, although he was wearing an ordinary hoodie, his bulging muscles made the loose shape become like a tights. The old man was considered a well-informed figure in the wizarding world, but this was the first time he had seen a freshman like this.

"Old man...ah no, Mr. Ollivander, is there anything heavier?"

Dudley looked at Ollivander sincerely. He really felt that he was not comfortable with the wand. Although the selling point of a magic wand was not its weight, he was afraid that if he could not hold the two light sticks tightly, they would hit his opponent's head. Moreover, he had not learned anything about magic yet.

Touching the cold "secret weapon" in his arms, Dudley made up his mind that he would never use this "Muggle magic" unless it was a critical moment.

The body of a wizard is very fragile, whether in the past life or in the present magical world, this is common sense. Even with defensive spells such as "Summoning God Guardian", "Iron Armor Spell", and "Armor Addition", Dudley is confident that he can use his "mortal wisdom" to resolve them one by one.

"This is really..."

Ollivander scratched his gray head. He really couldn't figure out what other wand would be more suitable for this beast-like strong boy.

For no reason, the old man felt like joking. He stretched out his hand and pointed at the lamppost outside the store.

"According to what you said, I'm afraid only this big guy is suitable for you."

Dudley and Harry looked in the direction of the sound. On the curb of the road, there was indeed a traditional street lamp that needed to store kerosene. It was about 1.75 meters tall. Although the street lamp was a bit short, Hogwarts obviously didn't have electrical wires, so this street lamp could only be regarded as a decoration that came from the Muggle world by chance.

"Just to my liking."

Amid Harry's astonished eyes, Dudley actually nodded with satisfaction.

"Don't be ridiculous, cousin. Can this thing... really be used as a magic wand?"

Although Harry did not have a deep understanding of the wizarding world, at least his eyes were useful. All the wands he had seen so far were made of holly wood like the one in his hand. Even Hagrid's unique macho pink umbrella was of regular size. But this street lamp was obviously taller than him. He shook his head vigorously, trying to dispel Dudley's idea.

"That's right, Dursley boy, this is no laughing matter."

"This is just a street lamp in the Muggle world. Please wait a moment while I look for it. I am sure there is a wand that suits you."

Ollivander didn't expect that Harry's cousin, who looked quite polite, was actually so stubborn. For a moment, he felt a little ashamed that he shouldn't have made fun of him.

"Mr. Ollivander, I remember you saying that the wand chooses its master, not the master."

Dudley smiled as he was already outside the store, reaching out and grasping the cold, hard lamppost.

The wizards and freshmen on the street couldn't help but look over here. This man, who was taller than the decorative street lamps, was the most eye-catching wherever he went.

"Cousin... Cousin! What are you doing!?"

Harry suddenly realized what Dudley was trying to do, and he ran over quickly.

It's too late.

"rise!"

Dudley rolled up his sleeves and shouted, his muscles suddenly tensed and the veins on his arms were exposed. Then, Ollivander and Harry watched Dudley pull out the street lamp that was stuck between the sidewalk bricks and the soil.

"Merlin's beard!"

Ollivander's eyes had never been so widened before. The material of the street lamp was extremely solid, and the entire lamp pole was made of solid metal. With such a weight, how could an ordinary person lift it?

Perhaps only Hagrid, who is of giant descent, could be like Dudley?

Harry and Ollivander looked at each other, and both the old and the young showed bitter expressions.

Over there, Dudley was already waving the "magic wand" in his hand with great interest.

The heavy weight and the muffled "humming" sound when swung made Dudley feel particularly satisfied. At the very least, it was more handy than those light little wooden sticks in Ollivander's shop.

"How can I move my arms without the strength of a giant?"

A freshman who was watching shouted in surprise.

Dudley smiled without saying much, he tensed his whole body, held the street lamp, no, the magic wand with both hands, and waved it "whoosh", making a clever stick flower in his hand. The dark street lamp in his hand was like a whirlwind. The wizards had never seen such a wonderful stick technique before, and the wizards who came to watch the fun shouted and applauded.

The applause soon filled the entire street. Even the freshmen who were still buying school supplies couldn't help but stick their heads out and watch Dudley use the "magic wand" in surprise. For a moment, cheers filled the entire street.

Dudley was just doing it lively when a voice shouted, "Good job!"

Dudley withdrew his hand and looked up. The young man who spoke was handsome, wearing a robe with a badger tattooed on his chest. A fangirl student who had known him for a long time shouted "Senior Cedric!"

As the saying goes, heroes admire heroes. When Dudley and Cedric looked at each other, they knew what kind of heroes the other was.

"Cedric Diggory of Hufflepuff. This is the first time I've seen a wizard with such great strength!"

Cedric nodded in admiration as he looked at the lamppost that Dudley had casually smashed down at his feet, making a small dent in the masonry floor.

"Dudley Dursley. I'm here with Harry Potter."

Dudley shook hands with Cedric and couldn't help but sigh when he thought about what would happen next. Such a proud Hogwarts, elegant and talented wizard, even when he watched the movie in his previous life, he couldn't help but recall this character.

"What? Harry Potter?"

The name came out like a "crush to pieces" spell blasted into the cupboard, and the crowd erupted in loud cheers.

"It seems that the Boy Who Lived is the top star in the wizarding world."

Dudley patted the "magic wand" beside him, stood aside with a smile, and ignored little Harry's eyes that seemed to be asking for help.
