Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 338 Feeling a Chill
"Where will it be?" Ron asked with a frown.
Harry thought for a moment and suddenly thought of a place. "Maybe it's the Forbidden Forest. There are many mysterious magical creatures and ancient magic in the Forbidden Forest. It may be the place he chose."
"Then we must set off immediately," Hermione said decisively, "We don't have much time."
They quickly packed up their things, left the test site, and headed towards the forbidden forest. Hogwarts was exceptionally quiet at night, but Harry's heart was filled with tension and anticipation. They had to succeed, because the cost of failure was too heavy.
After passing through the dark corridors and wide courtyards, they finally came to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. The trees in the Forbidden Forest were tall and dense, and the moonlight could only cast a weak light through the sparse leaves. Harry took a deep breath and led the way in, followed by Ron and Hermione.
The atmosphere in the Forbidden Forest became increasingly tense, and every step seemed to be in unknown danger. Harry held his wand tightly in his hand, praying silently in his heart that they could find August and stop his plan. They shuttled through the forest, carefully looking for any signs of abnormality.
"Did you hear that?" Ron suddenly stopped and asked in a low voice.
Harry and Hermione also stopped and listened to the sounds around them. Sure enough, a low chanting sound came from not far away, which seemed to be some kind of ancient spell. Harry's heart beat faster. This sound must be August performing a ritual.
"Hurry, we have to get there!" Harry whispered, leading them towards the sound.
As they got closer, the chanting became clearer. After passing through a dense bush, they finally saw a small open space. In the middle of the open space, August was standing in a magic circle flashing blue light, holding the glowing crystal in his hand, with a cold and focused expression on his face.
"August, stop it!" Harry shouted, raising his wand.
August turned around, a trace of disdain flashed in his eyes, "Harry Potter, you came at the right time. Your presence will only make my ceremony more perfect."
"We won't let you succeed," Hermione said firmly.
"Then let us see how powerful you are." August sneered, and the crystal in his hand began to emit a more dazzling light.
The battle raged in the open space of the Forbidden Forest, the lights of magic flickered in the dark night, and the air was filled with tension and danger. Harry, Hermione and Ron confronted August head-on, trying to stop his dark magic rituals.
August's magical power was shocking, and each of his attacks was accompanied by a powerful energy wave, forcing Harry and his friends to retreat continuously. Harry felt a sense of despair, as their magic seemed to be no match for August's power.
"We can't go on like this," Hermione panted, a determined gleam in her eyes, "We have to find his weakness."
"But we don't even know how he can be so powerful!" Ron shouted, his voice filled with anxiety and anger.
Harry tried to stay calm, he knew he couldn't give up now. A thought suddenly flashed through his mind: Did the headmaster, Professor McGonagall, also know about this? August's power was obviously not something an ordinary student could possess, maybe there was a deeper conspiracy behind this.
"We need time!" Harry shouted to Hermione and Ron, "I'll hold him back while you try to find his weakness!"
"Harry, be careful!" Hermione shouted, worry in her voice.
Harry took a deep breath, raised his wand, and faced August. His heart was filled with mixed emotions, anger towards August and doubts about himself. Why did this happen? How much did Professor McGonagall know? These questions swirled in his mind, but he knew that he had to focus on facing the enemy in front of him.
"Do you really think you can stop me, Harry Potter?" August sneered, his voice cold and mocking.
"I won't let you succeed!" Harry replied firmly, determination flashing in his eyes.
August attacked again, a strong beam of magic shot towards Harry. Harry dodged quickly, but still felt the powerful energy fluctuation. He raised his wand and cast a powerful defensive spell, but August's attack was still fierce.
Meanwhile, Hermione and Ron were desperately flipping through the black book, looking for any possible clues. Hermione's fingers moved quickly on the pages, trying to find any weaknesses or solutions to August's tricks.
"There's a paragraph here," Hermione said suddenly, with a hint of excitement in her voice, "The book mentions that this dark magic ritual requires a continuous supply of magic power, and this supply comes from the caster's vitality!"
"So he's using his life force to perform magic?" Ron asked, a hopeful glint in his eyes.
"Yes, that means if we can disrupt his magic supply he won't be able to continue the ritual!" Hermione explained.
Harry heard Hermione's discovery, and hope ignited in his heart. He concentrated all his strength, aimed at August, and launched a powerful impact spell. The spell hit August's magic circle, causing a strong explosion, instantly interrupting August's spell.
August's face suddenly changed. He obviously didn't expect Harry and the others to find his weakness. His magic power weakened instantly, and Harry took the opportunity to launch a series of attacks, forcing him into a corner.
"This is impossible!" August roared, his voice full of anger and despair.
"You lose, August." Harry said firmly, pointing his wand at August. "Now tell me, where does your power come from? Does Professor McGonagall know about this?"
August was silent for a moment, then sneered, "Do you think you've won, Harry Potter? You don't understand the truth of the matter at all. Professor McGonagall? She's just a puppet. The real power lies deeper."
Harry's heart was shaken, and he felt a chill. He knew that there might be a truth hidden in August's words, and this truth might be more complicated and dangerous than he imagined.
"Harry, we have to get out of here." Hermione said anxiously, her eyes full of anxiety, "We need to go back and tell the professors to make further preparations."
Harry nodded, knowing that now was not the time to ask further questions. They quickly left the Forbidden Forest and returned to Hogwarts with the news that August had been defeated. The lights in the headmaster's office were still on, and Harry knew that they needed to discuss the next plan with Professor McGonagall and other professors.
