Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 171 His Face is Sinister
Harry stared at Vernon without flinching. "I'm looking for the people who bullied Dudley and pushed him down the stairs."
Vernon's face darkened, but he quickly regained his composure. "Harry, all you said is speculation. There is no evidence."
"The evidence will be revealed," Harry said firmly, "and I will never let go of those who hurt my cousin."
Vernon was silent for a moment, then turned to the students. "You guys should go back quickly."
The students obeyed Vernon's orders and hurried out of the basement. Vernon glanced at Harry and turned away. Harry felt Vernon's implicit threat, but he did not back down.
As night fell, Harry returned to the Gryffindor dormitory and sat on the edge of his bed, lost in thought.
Aunt Petunia's grief and helplessness made him feel heartbroken. He knew that Vernon knew nothing about Dudley's experience, or pretended to know nothing. But Harry was convinced that all this was related to the Dursleys' attitude towards Dudley.
The next morning, Harry decided to consult with Headmaster Dumbledore. He knew that the Headmaster was a smart and honest man who might be able to give him some advice.
In Dumbledore's office, Harry spoke candidly about his investigation and the difficulties and obstacles he had encountered.
Dumbledore frowned, lost in thought. "Harry, you are dealing with a complicated situation. There seems to be an inextricable entanglement between the attitude of the Dursleys and their treatment of their children."
Harry nodded, "Headmaster, I need your help."
Dumbledore smiled at Harry, "I will support you. However, we need more evidence to uncover the truth."
Harry's heart sank, he knew his task was not easy, but he was also determined not to give up easily.
"Headmaster, I will continue to work hard to find evidence." Harry said solemnly.
Dumbledore patted Harry's shoulder gently, "Keep going, Harry. You are a brave and upright young man."
Harry left Dumbledore's office with a determined heart. He knew that what he was facing was not just a bullying problem, but also a battle of justice and conscience.
After returning to the Gryffindor dormitory, Harry began to re-examine his own investigation clues. Together with Hermione and Ron, he analyzed every possible source of evidence, trying to find the key to uncover the truth.
Just as they were confused, a man suddenly appeared at the door.
"Harry, can I talk to you?" It was Aunt Petunia's voice.
Harry stood up immediately, "Of course, come in."
Petunia walked into the dormitory, still looking worried. She sat on the edge of the bed and stared at Harry.
"Harry, I know you've been trying to investigate Dudley's case," Petunia began, "but I didn't know it had anything to do with Vernon."
Harry's heart was moved when he heard what Aunt Petunia said. He did not doubt his aunt's sincerity, but her ignorance of Vernon made him feel even more confused and helpless.
"Aunt, you really don't know that Vernon is related to Dudley's injuries?" Harry asked tentatively.
Petunia shook her head, "Vernon...although he wasn't very considerate towards Dudley, he wouldn't do something like this."
Harry was silent for a while, he felt the inner struggle and contradiction of Aunt Petunia. She was a person who worked hard for the stability of her family and might not be willing to face the darkness and pain in reality.
"Aunt, I will continue to investigate and find out the truth." Harry held Aunt Petunia's hand, "I believe there must be a hidden story behind this matter."
Aunt Petunia's eyes flashed with gratitude and determination. "Thank you, Harry. You are a brave child."
When Petunia left the Gryffindor dormitory, Harry was filled with determination. He decided to continue his investigation and find out the real reason behind Dudley's injury.
In the following days, Harry and his friends continued to investigate. They asked around, trying to find clues related to the bullying of Dudley. However, things did not go smoothly, and they encountered various difficulties and obstacles.
Just then, one night, a familiar voice suddenly sounded in Harry's ears.
"Harry, I need your help."
Harry looked up and saw Hagrid standing at the door of the dormitory. Hagrid's expression was serious and determined.
"Hagrid, what happened?" Harry asked, standing up immediately.
Hagrid's eyes flashed with determination, "I have an important decision to make."
"What decision?" Harry asked curiously.
Hagrid took a deep breath, "I plan to join the Night's Watch and protect the Wall."
Harry looked at Hagrid in surprise. "Night's Watch? The Wall?"
Hagrid nodded, "Yes, Harry. I heard that the Wall is a very dangerous border and it needs a strong guardian to protect it."
Harry's heart moved, he knew Hagrid had always been interested in mysterious and dangerous creatures. The post of Night Watchman should be a huge challenge and opportunity for him.
"Hagrid, this is dangerous." Harry said worriedly, "Are you sure you want to go?"
Hagrid nodded firmly, "Yes, Harry. I feel it is my mission."
Harry was silent for a moment. He knew that Hagrid had made up his mind. Although he was worried, he also understood Hagrid's decision.
"I wish you good luck, Hagrid," said Harry cordially, "but please be careful."
Hagrid smiled that unique, gentle smile of his. "Thank you, Harry. I'll be careful."
The anonymous letter reads:
"Harry,
I know you've been looking into the truth about Dudley's injury. I have some leads to offer you, but it's dangerous. We need to deal with more than just bullying in school. The Vernon Dursleys are involved in something much more complicated and dark. Please go to the west lawn of the school at night, and I'll meet you there.
A classmate who cares about justice"
Harry's heart moved, he knew this was an important clue. Despite the risks, he decided to go to the west lawn to find out the truth behind the anonymous letter.
At night, the moonlight sprinkled on the campus lawn, which seemed particularly peaceful. Harry came to the designated location alone, his heart full of anticipation and nervousness.
Suddenly, a figure walked out of the darkness. It was a man wearing a black cloak. His face was gloomy and unclear.
"Are you the one who wrote to me?" Harry asked.
The man in black nodded, "Yes, I know you are investigating the Dursleys."
"What do you know?" Harry asked nervously.
The man in black looked around to make sure no one was nearby. "Vernon Dursley is not a simple person. He and some students formed a secret organization that specifically bullied other students."
