Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 17: If you can't hit someone directly, then using the Quaffle won't count as a fou
At eleven o'clock, the competition begins.
Putting on the bright red team uniform, Harry was a little excited. He took a few deep breaths, clenched the Nimbus 2000 in his hand, and subconsciously looked at his cousin beside him.
"This dress is too tight."
Dudley frowned in distress. The team uniform that was extremely loose on others was like a tight gym suit on him, making it very awkward for him to move around.
With a "swish" sound, the bulging muscles in the arms burst the sleeves inside, turning the inner lining into a sleeveless vest.
"It feels much more comfortable now."
Dudley stretched and ignored the strange looks from Madam Hooch and the other players around him.
"Look, I want everyone to play the game fairly and honestly."
Madam Hooch spoke to the players who had gathered around her, and glanced meaningfully at Slytherin House, the sixth-year captain Marcus Flint. This student from Slytherin House was about the same height as Dudley, but Harry was not surprised because compared to his cousin, this guy was really thinner.
Harry couldn't help but feel nervous when he thought of the book Hermione had lent him before, which contained "More than 400 Ways to Cheat in Quidditch".
Ms. Huo Qi blew the whistle hard, and the silver whistle sounded, and the game officially began.
Marcus glared at Harry fiercely - or rather, at the exceptionally tall Muggle cousin behind him, and stretched out his hand, making a throat-slitting gesture.
Dudley naturally refused to be outdone and responded with a middle finger.
The "hatred" between Gryffindor and Slytherin did not need any provocation. The students of the two colleges were inherently incompatible. Not to mention that Slytherin, who had dominated the Quidditch field for many years, had aroused the competitive spirit of all Gryffindor players.
With Lee Jordan's quick commentary, Angelina Johnson soon successfully shot a Quaffle.
"Great!"
The Gryffindor stands cheered, while the Slytherins cursed. The students of the Serpentine House were very upset. Why didn't they have anyone who was eloquent and good at explaining?
Gryffindor has all the limelight!
Harry flew over the stadium, keeping his eyes wide open for any sign of the Golden Snitch.
A Bludger flew towards the back of his head. Harry ducked quickly with a bang. Dudley, who had appeared behind him, swung his bat and smashed the Bludger towards the Slytherin players.
His broom arrived just in time, dropping several feet in the air before it could catch Dudley's heavy body.
"Excellent guard, Dudley Dursley! Gryffindor's new star, perhaps the best Beater in Quidditch in the future!"
"Oh my god, look at that Bludger... Oh! Too bad, poor Adrian Poussey! Looks like he'll be out for the entire season!"
Even viewers with poor eyesight can "see" the actual situation on the field through this vivid narration. Although Lee Jordan, who was born in Gryffindor, has obvious preferences for the participating teams, everyone just likes to listen to his commentary, even the professors in the college.
"Bull Demon, you like playing basketball, right?"
Dudley had already caught the trajectory of the Bludger. It was a Slytherin player who was specifically throwing it in Harry's direction, while the captain of the Serpentine House just continued to make rude gestures towards Dudley.
"Are you okay, Harry?"
Fred shouted. Originally he and George were the Beaters of the Gryffindor team, but with Dudley joining, George took the initiative to apply to become a Chaser.
Harry didn't bother to answer and shook his head vigorously, while Lee Jordan on the commentary desk exclaimed:
"Is that the Snitch?"
Instantly, everyone's attention was attracted by the brilliant golden light. Harry dived down without hesitation and chased after the Golden Snitch. Slytherin's Seeker, Terence Higgs, also saw it, and the two of them rushed side by side in the direction of the Snitch.
The Nimbus 2000 was faster and Harry's skills were more mature, so his speed was a few points faster than the Slytherin. Harry immediately stretched out his hand, ready to catch the golden snitch with small wings.
"not good!"
Fred exclaimed as he saw Flint take the initiative and bump into Harry's direction.
"boom!"
With a loud bang, Harry's Nimbus 2000 suddenly turned around. Fortunately, Harry held on to the broom handle tightly and did not fall. In mid-air, Dudley's roar was heard.
"……foul!"
Fortunately, Fred arrived in time and covered Dudley's mouth tightly, preventing the long string of obscene words from spitting out.
Madam Hooch immediately stopped the game and, after severely reprimanding Flint, ordered the Gryffindor team to take free throws.
"These three-headed dogs raised them."
There was still something dirty in his mouth, but Dudley didn't pay much attention to the arena, because the scene outside the arena was about to unfold.
Professor Quirrell quietly watched Harry on the stage, his mouth twitching morbidly. Although this look was no different from that of a mental patient, most Hogwarts students were already accustomed to this neurotic Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, so no one noticed anything unusual.
The strong smell of garlic on his body made the students stay away from him, but he could naturally follow the will of his "master" and curse Harry's Nimbus 2000.
As soon as the next game starts, he will immediately chant the spell to cause the fall of this future savior.
"Die... for the master's will... die!"
Seeing that Harry was already chasing in the direction of the Golden Snitch, Quirrell immediately began to cast a spell.
Harry only felt a jolt in his crotch. The Nimbus 2000, which he used to control with ease, was now difficult to control. He desperately gripped the broom handle and clamped his legs together.
The broom, which was cast with black magic, was obviously beyond the control of an ordinary 11-year-old boy. It shook like a sieve and continued to climb upwards, trying to throw Harry off.
"What's going on here?"
Hermione exclaimed from the stands.
"It must have been that guy from Slytherin!"
Ron was still angry about the foul.
No one dared to step forward, because if a collision occurred during such a high-altitude and high-speed flight, the consequences would be even more serious than what happened to Harry just now.
But there are always exceptions.
Dudley rushed over with a roar, grabbed Harry by the collar, and driven by "Broomstick Mastery", his Nimbus 2000 flew side by side with Harry's out-of-control broom.
"cousin!"
Harry hadn't fully recovered from the confusion yet, but he could feel that it was Dudley who saved him.
"Go find the Snitch, and I'll take care of the rest!"
Dudley growled, gripping the broom handle tightly with both hands and tensing himself with all his strength.
The audience in the stands exclaimed, because Dudley was already roaring towards them, intentionally or unintentionally.
Snape, who was reciting a counter spell, was stunned.
How did it become him?
So should we save him or not?
