Chapter 179 Joining the Magician Council

Colin seriously considered whether to join the Victoria Islands Wizarding Council. In addition to talking to his two wives who were far away in Magwen City, he also sought the opinion of his father-in-law Richard.

Although Richard's strength is far inferior to his own, he has lived longer. After weighing the pros and cons, the father-in-law still suggested that Colin join the parliament. There are no disadvantages for the time being, and he is not required to fulfill any obligations. The benefits are already obvious. Wouldn't it be crazy not to take advantage of the opportunity?

Colin probably thought that the parliament wanted to use him as a wizard to open up some situations, but for him at the moment, the benefits outweighed the disadvantages. It was five days later when he figured it out.

"Mage Jesse, I agree to join the Mage Council, but I have to make a few points clear in advance. First, I am currently employed by my teacher. If there is any conflict with my teacher, I must put my teacher's affairs first. Second, if possible, try not to assign me any position in the short term."

"That's great, Wizard Colin. On behalf of the council, I agree to your request. Shall we sign the contract now?"

"Okay." Since he had already agreed, Colin read the contract carefully and found no obvious traps, so he happily signed the membership contract with the Magician Council.

"Colin, since you are already one of us, I will not be polite to you. I need to go back early. By the way, although you are unwilling to take up any position, you still have to take the position of an elder. Of course, there will be no tasks assigned to you. If you are willing to turn from virtual to real, the parliament will welcome you at any time." Jesse said tentatively before leaving.

"Jesse..., have a safe journey. I have no plans to serve in parliament for the time being." Colin said helplessly again.

"Okay, we will arrange for people to send the resources you deserve every year to Megwen City every two years. I will leave now. I won't say more. You are always welcome to change your mind."

Jesse finally left. The three parliaments have been merged into one, and the supernatural powers of the entire Victoria Islands are basically in the hands of the parliament. Strictly speaking, except for the lack of high-level combat power, the number of grassroots personnel is not inferior to that of Griman College. As for the three major forces in Magwen City, none of them combined are less than one-third of the Magician Council.

"Oh my god, I'm really impressed. I didn't expect Jesse to be this kind of person. He's so clingy." Colin thought sarcastically.

After sending Jesse away, Colin couldn't sit still anymore, so he took Helen and Nora and prepared to return to Magwen City again.

On the way back, he actually received a notice from Lina, asking him to rush to Heaton Manor to arrange something.

After Colin returned to the city of Megwen in a hurry, he rushed to the wizard tower where Lina was.

"Come on, sit anywhere." Lina said.

"Teacher, what's the matter?"

"Oh, it's nothing serious. It's just that your brother's wife, Blanche, had an accident with her family. She asked me for help a few days ago. I thought since you're fine, I'd go over there on your behalf."

"Didn't you say what it was specifically about?"

"Your senior brother didn't go into detail, but it shouldn't be a big deal. If it was a big deal, he would have told me directly."

"Okay, then I'll go over there. It just so happens that Helen hasn't traveled with me in recent years, so this time I can take Helen out for a walk."

"Hey, I see Helen has just been promoted. It's better for her to stay and consolidate her position for a while. Besides, Helen can still communicate more with your uncle Jaina. They are not inseparable. Why should she be so clingy?"

"Uh, well, I'll take Edith with me then."

"I say, can't you go alone? There must be something they want you to do when you go out. What are you doing with a family? Do you look like you can do anything?" Lina was a little anxious.

"Ah? Fine then. I'll go there alone and look for my brother." Colin was a little confused. He didn't know what Lina and his brother Ulman were up to. His wife was a first-level wizard, so she could be a helper there.

When he returned to his residence and told his wives about it, they were all puzzled. However, since Master Lina had arranged it and he had refused once last time, it would be difficult to refuse again. They thought it would not harm Colin.

The next day, Colin set out for the city of New Denie with doubts in his heart.

The city of New Dene is located to the west of the city of Megwen. As there was no need to rush there, Colin did not take the nearby airship, but rode Charles slowly on the road.

Charles' speed was there, and even if it was slower, Colin arrived in New Denie three months later.

The senior brother and sister-in-law who had received the news early were already waiting at the city gate.

"Colin, you're finally here. Today we brothers have to have a good reunion. It's been many years since we parted at Griman College, and you didn't even say you wanted to come and see your brother." Ulman said enthusiastically.

Colin looked at his senior brother, then at his senior sister-in-law. They didn't seem to be in trouble, but even though he was confused, he still had to observe the proper etiquette.

"Yes, Brother Ullman, it's been a long time since we last met. I came here as soon as I heard you calling me."

"Okay, okay, Blanche, this is probably the first time you meet, so you two should get to know each other."

"Hello, Wizard Blanche. I heard my senior brother talking about you last time. He always praised you as a beautiful and virtuous woman. After seeing you today, I really envy your good luck." Colin said flatteringly.

"Oh? Did he really say that? Then it seems that Colin, you like someone like me?" Blanche said happily.

"What are you talking about? How can you ask that in front of your senior brother? How should I answer?" Colin was a little dumbfounded. He didn't expect Blanche to say that.

"Haha, Colin, don't mind it. Blanche means that you like women like her." Ullman said with a smile.

"Well, yes, I do like people like Blanche. You are so lucky, brother." Colin also cooperated to eliminate the embarrassment.

Ullman and Blanche looked at each other, then said together, "That's great. Let's stop chatting here. Come on, follow us back."

Although Colin felt a little puzzled, since his senior brother didn't say anything, Colin didn't ask any more questions. He just took things as they came. If anything really happened, he would talk about it then.

When I returned to Blanche's family estate, I didn't even see Blanche's elders.

After asking, I learned that the manor was given to Blanche and Ullman, and their elders lived elsewhere.

Colin asked tentatively if he needed any help and he would do his best.

However, his senior brother Ulman and his sister-in-law Blanche always avoided the question. Although Colin had many doubts in his heart, he did not dare to ask any more questions. He just accompanied Ulman and Blanche to eat and drink.

In the following days, Colin stayed at the Blanche family's estate.

Every time Colin asked what was going on, the two of them always changed the subject. Colin thought, "Well, I'll stay for a month first. After a month, if they're still evasive, I'll just say goodbye. After all, I have four beautiful wives waiting for me at home, and I don't have time to waste time here with them."
