Siheyuan: Sending Shazhu into the call center, Yi Gu is useless
Chapter 424: Motioning Him to Sit Down
The police carefully recorded everyone's statements and thanked them for the information they provided. Afterwards, the police went to He Yuzhu's residence and took him back to the police station for further investigation. Facing the police's interrogation, He Yuzhu tried to defend himself, but in the face of overwhelming evidence, he finally confessed his violent behavior.
A few days later, while Chen Rufeng was receiving treatment in the hospital, he informed him of the progress of the case. He Yuzhu has been formally detained and will face the court. We have collected enough evidence and He Yuzhu will be prosecuted for intentional injury. His violent behavior will be severely punished by law.
Chen Rufeng felt relieved after hearing this. He knew that his efforts had finally paid off and He Yuzhu would get the punishment he deserved.
Soon after, the court opened the trial of the case. Chen Rufeng described in detail what happened that night in court and provided sufficient evidence and testimony. Neighbors also testified in court, exposing He Yuzhu's long-term violent behavior.
After reviewing all the evidence and testimony, the judge finally sentenced He Yuzhu to ten years in prison. This verdict relieved Chen Rufeng of his anger and grievance.
After hearing the verdict, neighbors expressed their support and gratitude to Chen Rufeng.
"Rufeng,
"Yes, Rufeng, with you here,
one day,
"Rufeng," With you, he knows,
form top
Chen Rufeng opened his eyes and felt an unfamiliar sense of oppression. The furnishings in the room confused him - heavy wooden furniture, brass table lamps, and antique calligraphy works hanging on the wall. He sat up suddenly from the bed, feeling uneasy. This was not the modern apartment he was familiar with, but a room with a clear Republican style.
He clenched his fists in hatred and hit the bed hard, anger and helplessness intertwined in his heart. How could this happen? He was clearly at home last night, how did he wake up in this place? Trying to calm himself down, he got up from the bed and began to look around the room. There was a diary on the bedside table, and when he opened it, the date was 1932. He was shocked and realized that he might have traveled through time.
"What on earth is going on?" he whispered to himself.
He walked to the window and opened it. Outside was a small alley paved with bluestone slabs. People in the alley were wearing long gowns and jackets. The cries of street vendors and the ringing of bicycle bells intertwined. Everything looked like a scene from a movie. Chen Rufeng suddenly felt dizzy. Everything seemed so real, yet so unreal.
Just as he was standing by the window in a daze, the door was suddenly pushed open and a young woman walked in. She was wearing a cheongsam and holding a wooden tray with a bowl of steaming white porridge and a few side dishes on it.
"Master, are you awake? Have some breakfast first." The woman said gently. He nodded, thinking that now was not the time to think about these things. He needed to first figure out what kind of environment he was in.
He sat down at the table, picked up his bowl and started to eat, but his mind was spinning rapidly. He had to find a way to figure out everything here and find a way to go back. Just then, he noticed a newspaper on the table. The date on the newspaper also showed 1932, which further confirmed his guess.
Seeing that he didn't say anything, the woman stood aside and waited quietly. Chen Rufeng put down his bowl and chopsticks, looked up at her, and asked, "What's your name?"
"Master, my name is Xiao Cui, and I'm a maid in the mansion." Xiao Cui answered respectfully.
"Where is this place?" Chen Rufeng continued to ask.
"This is the Chen family mansion. Young master, what's wrong with you? Don't you remember?" A trace of worry flashed in Xiao Cui's eyes.
Chen Rufeng knew that he would not get anything out of asking any more questions, so he stopped talking. He nodded, signaling Xiao Cui that she could leave. Xiao Cui bowed and turned to leave the room.
Chen Rufeng watched her leave with a lot of thoughts in his mind. He knew he had to adapt to this environment as soon as possible and find a way to go back. After some thinking, he decided to start by understanding "himself". He took out some letters and documents from the bedside table, trying to find some clues.
Chen Rufeng found out that he was the eldest son of the Chen family, and his family was quite powerful in the local area, while he himself was an uneducated and unskilled dandy. This discovery made him smile bitterly. It seemed that he had to work hard on this identity to avoid revealing any flaws. Chen Rufeng carefully adapted to his new life. While he was trying to find out information, he was also familiar with the situation at home. Although all of this was very unfamiliar to him, he firmly believed that he would be able to find a way back home.
One day, when he was walking in the garden, he met an elderly housekeeper. The housekeeper saw him, bowed respectfully, and said, "Young Master, the master asks you to go to the study." He followed the housekeeper to the study. He knew that he needed to understand his father's thoughts and intentions as soon as possible in order to gain a foothold in this house.
Walking into the study, Chen Rufeng saw a middle-aged man sitting behind the desk, frowning and looking very worried. This man was the head of the Chen family, Chen Rufeng's father, Master Chen.
"Rufeng, please sit down." Mr. Chen raised his head and motioned for him to sit down.
Chen Rufeng sat opposite his father and tried to appear calm and composed. He knew that his father might be watching his every move, so he had to respond with caution.
"Father, is there anything wrong?" Chen Rufeng asked.
Master Chen sighed and said, "Rufeng, although our Chen family has some influence in the local area, the situation has been turbulent recently. As the eldest son of the Chen family, you need to shoulder more responsibilities."
Chen Rufeng nodded, but in his heart he was thinking about how to deal with these complicated situations. He knew that he had to show maturity and responsibility in order to win his father's trust.
"Father, I will try my best." Chen Rufeng said firmly.
Mr. Chen nodded with satisfaction and said, "Okay, I believe you. There are a few businesses that need you to handle recently. I will let the butler tell you the details."
Chen Rufeng's heart tightened, but he nodded in agreement. He knew that this was an opportunity to test himself, and Chen Rufeng began to get involved in the family business. He found that although he was not familiar with these things, with the knowledge and experience of modern society, he was able to cope with many aspects. Gradually, the attitude of his family and servants towards him began to change, from initial suspicion to gradual recognition. Chen Rufeng was thinking alone in the study, and suddenly heard a gentle knock on the door. He walked over and opened the door, and saw Xiao Cui standing at the door, looking a little nervous.
