Runti was born in the Grand Line. Her and Page One's father was a pirate. After their father passed away, Runti and her brother Page One were adopted by Kaido, who was an old friend of their father.

In the Beasts Pirates, Runti is one of the few members who dares to argue with Kaido, but Kaido is not angry at all. Instead, he is quite tolerant of her.
