On the way back, Xun Diexin was ready to tell Chen Juan something, but she was not sure whether to say it now or wait until she got back. She still said it after struggling.

"Aunt Chen, I won't come over until next summer."

"I know. We still have to continue our lives. Die Xin, study hard for the college entrance examination. I'm here, and no one will disturb Shu Rou." Aunt Chen expressed her understanding.

After a while, Chen Juan came out with two boxes.

Xun Diexin opened a box, inside which were photos taken at Aunt Chen's house that day. Shurou was smiling brightly in the photos.

"Well, let's go back now! I have to go out later." Chen Juan said.

Xun Diexin took out a painting from her bag: "This is what Shurou gave you. I think it is a beautiful painting."

Chen Juan opened the painting, which contained a sketch of her sleeping. After reading it, Chen Juan closed the painting and said, "Well, it looks good."

"Aunt Chen, thank you." Xun Diexin stood up and thanked Chen Juan.

Chen Juan took out a piece of paper and wiped Xun Diexin's tears: "You're welcome, don't be sad. If you feel bad when you go back, go out for a walk or contact me."

"Well, I will."

Xun Diexin said goodbye to Chen Juan and walked on the mountain path that she and Ye Shurou often walked.

She looked towards the forest on the mountain. Shurou was like a little elf in the summer forest. She disappeared as soon as she turned around, as if she had never existed. Xun Diexin thought she would remember Shurou for the rest of her life.

Xun Diexin wishes time would stop at the time when we first met. If Shurou hadn’t gone for the art exam, so many things wouldn’t have happened.

Halfway through the journey, Xun Diexin saw a puddle. She came to the puddle and took out a piece of paper from her bag. She folded a small boat and the boat floated to the middle of the water.

Suddenly a rock fell from the mountain and hit the boat, capsizing it.

When Xun Diexin saw the overturned boat, she remembered the wish they had made on the boat before.

It turned out that she had predicted Shurou's death so early, but she was powerless to do anything.

Xun Diexin didn't want to think about it anymore, so she quickened her pace and went back.

Soon she arrived at Shurou's house.

Now that the purple flowers were in full bloom, she walked to the window that would never be opened again and said goodbye.

After Xun Diexin left, the only sound outside the window was the sound of Chanming.

When she got home, Xun Diexin put away Shurou's memories. Tired, she sat down at the table and looked out the window. She unconsciously took out the diary from the bookshelf.

This diary should also be sealed.

Xun Diexin wrote in her diary: The twilight in the sky has fallen, the flowers on the windowsill have long withered, the person I love will never come back, and a melancholy mood fills my chest. I don’t know how to vent it, and can only let it slowly die in the long river of time.

She will probably miss her all her life, just like the grandmother missed her childhood lover.
