## Sasuke's Side ##

He ran out and saw the mess around him. The monks were lying on the ground and seemed to be dead.

Sasuke activated his Sharingan and scanned his surroundings.

He sensed someone behind him and jumped out of the way just in time to avoid a punch.

The force of the punch caused the ground to explode, sending debris flying everywhere.

After a few seconds, the dust settled and Sasuke saw an expressionless ninja standing there, staring at him.

The ninja standing in front of Sasuke was very tall. He wore a high-collared black cloak with red clouds on it. The pupils of his eyes were green, and the whites of his eyes were blood red.

'He came to me on his own,' Kakuzu thought, looking at Sasuke. He still didn't understand why Tobi was interested in Sasuke, but that didn't matter to him.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Sasuke asked, staring at the person in front of him.

"I am Kakuzu. As for why I am here, it has nothing to do with you." Kakuzu said calmly.

"Looks like I'll have to force you to tell it." Sasuke sneered and rushed towards Kakuzu.

'Naive.' Kakuzu thought, preparing to teach the boy a lesson.

Sasuke leaps into the air and attempts a spinning kick. Kakuzu blocks it with his left arm, grabs Sasuke's legs, and slams him to the ground.

Kakuzu used earth escape technique to attack Sasuke who was lying on the ground, but Sasuke used substitution technique to dodge.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" Sasuke fired a fireball and Kakuzu quickly formed a few hand seals.

"Water Escape: Water Formation Wall!"

Kakuzu sprayed water from his mouth, forming a protective ball around his body.

The fireball hit the wall of water and disappeared in steam, leaving Kakuzu unharmed.

"Tsk." Sasuke was dissatisfied when he saw Kakuzu defending himself easily. He was so focused on Kakuzu that he didn't notice that something grabbed his ankle.

A hand appeared from the ground and tightly grasped Sasuke's ankle. The hand rose from the ground, dragged Sasuke into the air, and slammed him into a nearby building.

Sasuke coughed and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

Kakuzu rushed towards Sasuke and started a fierce taijutsu battle with him.

Sasuke soon discovered that Kakuzu was much faster and stronger than he was. Sasuke's Sharingan could barely keep up with Kakuzu's speed.

Kakuzu jumped up and kicked down, but Sasuke crossed his arms to block it.

Sasuke tried to jump away, but Kakuzu's hands detached from his body and grabbed his ankles again, slamming him into the surrounding buildings multiple times before finally throwing him to the ground.

"So weak... pathetic." Kakuzu said.

Sasuke tried to stand up, his body aching and his ankle probably dislocated.

"It's incredible why Itachi didn't kill you." Kakuzu said coldly, then kicked Sasuke hard in the chest, sending him flying to the ground.

"Has all this training been in vain? Damn it, I'm too weak... I'll never be able to avenge my clan at this rate."

Sasuke hit the ground, forming a small crater, and his consciousness began to blur.

'Main goal... accomplished.' Kakuzu thought.

"Rachel!"

A voice rang out and Kakuzu felt a sharp pain in his chest.

He looked down and saw a hand covered in electricity extending from his chest.

"How did you get behind me?" Kakuzu asked, Naruto pulled his arm out and Kakuzu fell to the ground.

Naruto's Raikiri pierced his heart cleanly.

"Looks like I don't need any help." Ji Lu watched as Naruto dealt with the enemy with a single blow.

Then the two of them ran over to Sasuke and helped him up.

As they lifted Sasuke, Naruto felt a surge of chakra behind him.

He turned around and saw Kakuzu completing the hand seal:

"Wind Release: Pressure!"

A compressed vacuum ball was fired at them.

Naruto threw Sasuke onto Jiriku's back and took his fan, scattering the wind ball.

"Can you do it alone?" Di Lu asked.

"No problem... take Sasuke to get healed." Naruto said and Jiriku jumped away.

"How are you still alive? I was sure I shot you in the heart." Naruto noticed his cloak.

"So you were after me?" Naruto asked, watching him closely, his Sharingan gleaming, "Considering I made Itachi and Kisame run with their tails between their legs, I guess they sent someone more powerful?" Naruto asked, but Kakuzu remained unmoved.

"And...I sense four different kinds of chakra emanating from you." Naruto thought.

' He's almost figuring it out... Don't underestimate him.' Kakuzu thought.

"I'm not here to look for you...but I can take you away." Kakuzu said and Naruto smiled.

"That's a nice thought." Naruto said.

The two rushed towards each other at high speed.

Naruto noticed that Kakuzu's skin was very dark, almost black.

Using the Sharingan, Naruto decided to analyze why his skin behaved like this.

"He used Earth Style Chakra to strengthen his skin and increase his strength." Naruto concluded.

He was surprised to see Kakuzu's hands detach from his body. They flew towards his ankles quickly and Naruto had to deal with them quickly.

He focused his chakra and golden chains burst out from his hands. Naruto used these chains to avoid Kakuzu's hands in mid-air and landed safely.

Naruto channeled chakra into the storage seal on his wrist, took out a kunai, and channeled lightning chakra through it.

He rushed forward and severed the black thread connecting his hand to Kakuzu, causing his hand to fall limply to the ground.

Naruto saw another set of black lines emerge from the ground and reconnect to the hands, pulling them back to Kakuzu's side.

"Lightning Release: Thunder Dragon Bullet!"

Naruto quickly formed hand seals, creating a giant blue thunder dragon, its eyes flashing with electricity, and it roared and rushed towards Kakuzu.

Kakuzu's eyes widened.

"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" Kakuzu said, sending a gust of wind towards the Thunder Dragon.

However, his Wind Style was too weak and couldn't even slow down the Thunder Dragon.

As the Thunder Dragon approached, Kakuzu dodged sideways.

Although Kakuzu managed to dodge, his left arm spasmed from the electricity.

"Surprise!" said Naruto as he appeared next to Kakuzu with electricity in his hands.

" Raikiri! " Naruto said, stabbing his hand into Kakuzu.

Kakuzu managed to dodge but was ultimately stabbed through the right shoulder.

Kakuzu fell to the ground again this time, seemingly lifeless.

Naruto knew not to let his guard down, as he could still sense Kakuzu's three chakra signatures.

Kakuzu was twitching on the ground, and suddenly, he exploded into a pile of black lines.

Kakuzu's cape was torn to shreds, and black lines began to form two separate spheres around his body. Each of these spheres had a mask, a different color and design. One was light blue and looked like a bird, and the other was red and looked like a dragon.

Kakuzu's body rose from the ground, still remaining the same.

'What's going on?' Naruto thought, 'I've 'killed' him twice and he's still standing.'
