## Konoha Hospital##

"Where are we going?" Naruto asked curiously as he followed Hinata into the hospital. He never liked hospitals because they always smelled like disinfectant.

Hinata smiled mysteriously:

"You'll know when it arrives."

She walked through the hospital corridors with ease and soon came to a dead end.

Naruto paused in confusion, watching Hinata walk straight towards the wall.

Hinata was seen placing her hand on the wall, and a flickering seal pattern briefly appeared and disappeared.

Then, a door-shaped outline appeared on the wall.

"Let's go, Naruto-kun." Hinata walked in first.

Naruto hesitated for a moment, but followed. He looked around and found himself in a simple room with an elevator in the middle of the room. An Anbu ninja stood in front of the elevator door with an expressionless face.

"So... where are we?" Naruto couldn't help but ask. He felt it was a miracle that he had been able to endure until now.

"We're almost there. I'll let you know when we get there." Hinata said as she entered a password on the elevator control panel.

The elevator door opened and Hinata walked in. Naruto was about to follow but was stopped by an Anbu.

"Master Senju, you do not have permission to enter this area," the ANBU said coldly.

Naruto looked at Hinata for help.

Hinata seemed to realize the problem at this moment, and hurriedly walked out of the elevator, handing a form to the Anbu with a blushing face.

The Anbu took the form and examined it carefully for a few seconds, then the form suddenly ignited without any fire and turned into ashes.

"You can go in now." The Anbu returned to his expressionless state and said to Naruto.

"Thank you." Naruto said awkwardly and walked into the elevator.

The elevator door closed, and Naruto couldn't wait to find out what Hinata was up to.

He felt that as the elevator continued to descend, the chakra around him became thinner and thinner.

Finally, the elevator stopped. The moment the door opened, the blinding white light made it almost impossible for Naruto to open his eyes.

"Welcome, Naruto-kun... to Orochimaru's greatest masterpiece." Hinata's voice sounded in the white.

It took Naruto a while to realize what Hinata said.

"Orochimaru?!" he asked in shock, "What does this have to do with that guy?!"

Hinata didn't answer and led him through the long corridor.

Through the glass windows on either side of the hallway, Naruto saw many tables filled with test tubes, beakers, and other scientific equipment.

They walked on, turned a corner, and came to a more spacious room.

The room is lined with many huge glass jars filled with unknown liquids. Some things are floating in the liquid and are connected to instruments outside the jars through pipes.

Naruto suddenly stopped and reached out to grab Hinata's shoulders.

Hinata turned around and saw the shocked look on Naruto's face.

"Explain yourself." His tone was harsher than expected, but Hinata didn't seem surprised at all, as if she had expected this reaction from him.

Hinata pointed at the equipment around her and told Naruto that this was a secret department of Konoha that specialized in researching biological weapons and was created by Orochimaru.

She speculated that the confidentiality level of this place was very high, and even Danzo might not know about it.

In order to prevent leaks, the place is even equipped with living facilities so that researchers can stay here for a long time and go out less often.

"Remember that little lab you found when you were doing the D-rank mission a few years ago?" Hinata asked.

Naruto nodded, remembering the experience.

"That was actually the emergency entrance to this secret facility. Orochimaru probably didn't have time to clean it up when he was captured, so you got a chance to take advantage of it." Hinata explained, "Although he sometimes crosses the line, we have to admit that he is definitely a genius in the field of genetic engineering. "He had hoped to usher in a new era..." Hinata continued, a hint of regret in her tone, "an era where chakra is no longer important, because it only takes a virus to easily destroy a village and take away their wealth."

"Isn't chakra enough?" Naruto frowned, "Why does Konoha need more powerful weapons?"

"I understand how you feel, Naruto." Hinata said gently, "But don't forget, Konoha is the military power of the Land of Fire. "That's right..." Naruto nodded, "But I always thought ninjas were immune to viruses and the like?"

"Indeed, active chakra can enhance the immune system, and ordinary diseases cannot get close to us at all." Hinata explained, "But we are still human beings after all. If the virus is strong enough, we will get sick and die..."

They walked to a steel door with the word "Virus" engraved on it.

"Virus Investigation and Research Unit?" Naruto read out the words.

"That's right, come in." Hinata pushed open the automatic door and continued walking forward with Naruto until they came to a huge cylindrical glass jar.

This glass jar was exactly the same as the one they had seen in the previous room, and it also contained an unknown liquid.

"What is that?" Naruto asked, looking at the white object floating in the liquid.

"White Zetsu." Hinata said calmly.

Naruto looked closely and found that it was indeed White Zetsu, or rather, a part of White Zetsu's body.

"Are you researching White Zetsu?"
