Naruto: We are invincible

Chapter 102 Sneaking into the enemy camp

"I appreciate your kindness, but I hope that my village will remain intact after the war." Mei Terumi said. Naruto smiled.

"Each fortress is like a combination of a prison and a sturdy castle. The walls are made of solid stone, and the gates are made of chakra-reinforced wood," explained Mei Terumi.

"Can't we just climb over the wall?" Naruto asked, but Mei Terumi shook her head.

"Due to the climate of this country, there is a thin layer of water on those walls, which makes it difficult for ordinary ninjas to climb. It requires extremely high chakra control. In addition, there are sentries on each tower guarding 24 hours a day, so we will be discovered before we even get close." Mei Terumi replied, hugging her head.

Attacking these fortresses was never an easy task. They had been able to capture the other two fortresses entirely by relying on their numerical superiority.

"Can we send a few earth-style ninjas to dig a tunnel underground?" Naruto suggested, but Mei Terumi shook her head again.

"Then I'll go in alone and open the gate from the inside." Naruto said, using his Sharingan to memorize the terrain on the map. "I don't need to climb over the wall to enter the fortress."

Mei Terumi raised an eyebrow.

"My space ninjutsu has reached a whole new level. I can pass through walls and other obstacles easily." Naruto explained. To prove himself, he sank into the ground and instantly appeared behind Mei Terumi.

"Let Huanglong and Shilong go to the other two fortresses, and leave the main battlefield to me. They are good at hiding, and should be able to sneak in easily." Naruto said. Terumi Mei nodded.

"According to Han's intelligence, Yagura is gathering his main force in the village. He seems to have anticipated that we would capture these fortresses." Mei Terumi said. Naruto nodded.

"Let's prepare for the siege," Naruto said and everyone left the room.

"Are you ready?" Naruto asked Mei Terumi. She was the commander of this operation, responsible for coordinating everything.

"The troops are ready and will attack as soon as the gates are opened. They are about 500 meters away from the fortress, hidden in the mist." Mei Terumi explained. Naruto nodded.

"Yellow Dragon, Purple Dragon." Naruto shouted, "Get ready and coordinate the attack with Aoki and Chojuro." The two nodded. Then Naruto turned to the other dragons.

"Red Dragon, Blue Dragon, Blue Dragon, you go with Blue's troops to attack Yellow Dragon's fortress. Black Dragon, Brown Dragon, you go with Chojuro's troops." Naruto ordered. Everyone nodded to show that they understood and went to their respective posts.

"Shiryuu." Naruto called. Hinata walked up to him. "I'll get you as close to the fortress as possible." Naruto said. Shiryuu nodded. Naruto carefully handed her a three-pronged kunai.

"Be careful and call me when you need me," he said gently.

"Don't worry, Naruto-kun," Shiryuu replied, taking the kunai and putting it in his pocket.

"Of course I'd be worried," Naruto said, grabbing Shiryuu's waist and the two of them disappeared.

"So she is Hyuga Hinata... Interesting." Mei Terumi said to herself. She noticed the intimate interaction between Naruto and Shiryu. In just that moment, she could tell that they had a close relationship and that Naruto valued her safety more than anything else.

## Northern Fortress ##

Night fell, and it was pitch black. Thick clouds covered the sky, and even the stars and the faint moonlight could not be seen. Night was the ally of the ninja. Ninjas were trained assassins. Sound was their enemy, and darkness was their friend. The only light came from the torches on the fortress, and a pair of blood-red eyes flashed in the darkness, scanning the surroundings.

Mei Terumi looked at Naruto and shuddered. It was too dark, so she couldn't see Naruto's face, but she could see his eyes clearly. Those blood-red eyes, with three magatama, kept spinning in the night. They were a pair of eyes that seemed to come from hell, a pair of eyes that were searching for prey, a pair of eyes... belonging to a hunter.

Naruto and Mei Terumi stood outside the fortress, with thousands of ninjas behind them. They were about to attack the largest and strongest of the five fortresses. The difference between this fortress and the others was that it was not only larger in scale, but also had more ninjas stationed there. The ninjas in the other fortresses only took turns guarding, but this fortress had a special living area where the ninjas worked and lived.

"The others should have already started the attack. I'll go to the destination now." Naruto said, and disappeared. Terumi Mei turned to the troops behind her and asked them to get ready.

When Naruto reappeared, he was outside the fortress wall. He clung to the wall, hiding in the darkness and blending into the night. One of the great advantages of the Sharingan is its night vision. Naruto can see everything at night as clearly as during the day. The fact that his vision is in black and white, with only his chakra having color, does not seem to bother him.

Naruto quickly counted the number of enemies, a total of ten sentinels. Four of them stood on the tall tower, overlooking the plain in front, and the other six patrolled the wall. Naruto thought about the countermeasures, whether to deal with the sentinels first and then open the city gate, or to bypass them and sneak in secretly.

Naruto chose the former. If he eliminated the sentries first and then opened the gate, the troops could quickly enter the fortress without being detected. By the time Yagura's men reacted, they had already entered the castle, and it would be too late.

Naruto quickly formulated a plan. He instantly appeared behind the enemies on each tower, covered their mouths with one hand, and extended a kunai from behind with the other hand. Before the enemies could react, their throats were cut and they died without making any sound. After dealing with the sentries on the towers, Naruto began to clear the guards on the wall.

Naruto took advantage of the tower's height and quickly scanned the interior of the fortress. Fortunately, apart from the tower and the outer wall, there seemed to be no other guards inside. Most of the ninjas should be sleeping, and only a few were preparing to change guards.

Naruto threw a three-pronged kunai into the air. The kunai drew an arc in the air, and Naruto instantly moved next to the kunai, and then disappeared again.

The guards only saw a yellow flash before several shurikens flew towards them, taking their lives in an instant.

Naruto quickly disposed of the bodies and buried them with earth escape technique. It was not suitable to use fire escape technique here, so as not to attract the enemy's attention.

After dealing with all the sentries, Naruto sneaked into the house inside the fortress. He was glad that he was a perception-type ninja, which made it easier for him to sense the presence of the enemy. After all, although the Sharingan was powerful, it could not penetrate walls like the Byakugan.

Naruto didn't walk on the ground, but moved along the ceiling. Jiraiya had taught him that people rarely looked up.
