HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts

Chapter 66 Voldemort's Warning

The sunlight slanted onto the carved iron gate of Malfoy Manor, casting mottled shadows.

Draco's mumbling echoed in the spacious hall, like a never-ending background music.

As they were muttering, Lucius and Narcissa appeared at the door of the manor. Their fatigue, which could not be concealed by the dust, silently told of the difficulties they had been going through during this period.

"Sweetheart, how have you been recently? Have you taken good care of yourself?" Narcissa gently took Sensenas' hand and gently guided her to sit next to her.

Cygnus smiled and sat down obediently.

Draco also cleverly squeezed over and sat close to his mother, his innocent face filled with anticipation.

"Mom, we are fine, but Draco misses you very much, and so do I."

Lucius frowned and kept massaging his temples with his fingers, as if he wanted to crush the problem that was bothering him.

His daughter has always been very obedient and sensible, but every time he thought of that man's cold words, a chill passed through Lucius' heart.

He couldn't figure out how Segnus had provoked that guy.

However, no matter what, Lucius was determined to protect his wife and children even at the cost of his own honor.

In front of family, honor and status are nothing but passing clouds.

Segnus watched him quietly from the side, knowing full well that they must have encountered considerable trouble during this period.

Lucius waved to Segnus, and the latter's eyes focused on Lucius's wave. She nodded slightly, followed his footsteps tacitly, and walked towards the depths of the study.

Draco's little face was full of curiosity, and he was eager to keep up with their pace, but Lucius's tone was cold and hard, like the north wind in winter, which kept him firmly in place.

"Be good, stay here with mom," Lucius said in a low voice, revealing a hint of unquestionableness, "Mom hasn't slept well these past two days. You're a sensible child, right, Xiaolong?"

Draco's eyes widened, and his father's serious attitude made him speechless for a moment, and he stood there in a daze.

Cygnus glanced back, a hint of sympathy in her eyes, but she did not stop and followed Lucius lightly.

Lucius and Cygnus walked side by side down the long corridor, the air thick with silence.

The sound of their footsteps seemed to become the only rhythm, accompanying their heavy thoughts along the way.

When he reached the door of the study, Lucius finally couldn't help but sigh deeply, his voice sounding a bit tired and helpless.

"Huh," Lucius let out the depression in his chest heavily, then he pushed open the heavy study door.

The door slowly opened, revealing a peaceful space.

The atmosphere in the study today seemed different from usual. Every pair of eyes in the portraits of the head of the family hanging on the wall was staring at the two of them quietly.

Segnus followed closely behind Lucius, and the two walked in silence until they finally stopped in front of the heavy desk.

Lucius patted the chair gently, motioning for her to sit down.

"Signus, I know you always know what's going on," Lucius said, his tone was gentle yet serious, "but today, I have something I want to talk to you about."

He paused, his eyes fixed on Segnus's eyes full of admiration, and his voice trembled unconsciously.

"Listen, honey, you need to stay away from that mysterious man. Don't get close to him, don't talk to him, and don't even think about getting anything from him. That guy is a real jerk."

Lucius' voice was low, and every word sounded like a warning and a plea.

Lucius sat in his deserted study. It was getting dark outside. His thoughts were like an old photo album that had been turned over, replaying the events of the past few days scene by scene.

He met the young Voldemort, and the dark devil was followed by a silver-haired boy.

There was a hint of surprise in Lucius' eyes, and the silver hair stirred up waves in his mind. When the banquet was held at Malfoy Manor, this silver-haired boy, if he remembered correctly, was following the head of the Selwyn family.

The members of the Selwyn family always had warm flaxen hair color, but this young man was like an unpolished gem, unique and different.

Lucius narrowed his eyes, his heart was filled with ripples, and he was full of curiosity about the identity of the silver-haired boy.

The young Voldemort's order, like an irresistible spell, was placed before him - asking him, his family, and his former subordinates to search for Voldemort's lost soul fragments.

Lucius is full of contradictions and his heart is in turmoil.

He likes his current stable life very much and doesn't want to lose it.

More importantly, Voldemort demanded not only obedience, but also the handing over of Cygnus, the apple of his eye - that was the treasure in his heart, his pride and hope.

Voldemort wanted to brand her pure skin with the mark of a Death Eater, just as he had marked his own.

How could he possibly let Cygnus follow the same path as himself and become another puppet of Voldemort.

Segnus glanced at the panic on her father's face and smiled gently, as if everything was under control.

She slowly raised her eyelids and asked, "Father, did you run into Voldemort when you went out this time? Well, let me guess, did he send you a message specifically, and even mentioned my name?"

There was a hint of playfulness in his tone, yet it was also witty.

Lucius was left speechless by his daughter's directness and sharpness. He stood there in a daze, opened his mouth, but couldn't utter a word.

The portrait of Abraxas Malfoy on the wall suddenly flashed his eyes, as if he had found the best time to speak, and he said slowly:

"Oh, Lucius, when you mention that name - Voldemort, I have to warn you. Tom is as cunning as a fox. He can make the hardest heart bow to him. Facing such an opponent, you have to use some tricks. Head-on confrontation? That won't work."

Segnus slightly raised her willow-shaped eyebrows, and a hint of curiosity flashed in her eyes.

She leaned forward slightly, and with a hint of mischief in her tone, she asked, "Grandfather, I heard that you and that guy were inseparable good friends. The fact that you can call him by his Christian name so casually shows that the rumors about your deep friendship are true."

Cygnus' words were like a key that opened the door deep in Abralex's memory.

In that academy full of magic and youth, the figure of Tom Riddle, a half-blood wizard, unexpectedly melted his prejudice against his half-blood identity.
