HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts

Chapter 50: Fighting the Basilisk

Segnus walked back to his room with heavy steps, feeling speechless.

That guy Gareth Selwyn is definitely that brat Chi He.

She has always been able to use her special ability to sniff out the breath deep in everyone's soul.

The smell of Gareth Selwyn's soul was exactly the same as Chi He's, which made her want to kill him as soon as she smelled it.

"Who else could it be but him?" she said to herself.

Out of boredom, Segnus took out Tom Riddle's diary. She was no fool, and had long realized that Tom had been secretly coveting her soul power recently.

"Do you think I didn't notice your little trick?" She sneered, flipping through the diary.

But before that, the magic power that the mysterious old man she met in the restricted books area gave her had made her soul unusually tough.

Although this power brought some unpleasant side effects, when had she ever been afraid of any risks?

The moment the notebook was opened, Segnus seemed to be sucked in by an invisible force, and in the blink of an eye, she was in the familiar Slytherin dormitory.

The face of Tom in front of him no longer had the false friendliness, but instead revealed a cold anger.

"You lied to me, Margaret, oh, no, it should be Segnus." Tom's voice was cold, and every word was like an ice bead. He was obviously extremely displeased at being deceived.

Segnus walked to the chair calmly and sat down, her long platinum hair casually draped.

She played with her hair and looked at Tom with a somewhat sarcastic look, "Same here, Tom. Or should I call you Voldemort?"

There was a flash of surprise in Tom's eyes. He obviously didn't expect that Cygnus would reveal his identity.

He walked around to Cygnus, his hands gripping the back of the chair tightly, as if to lock her in his arms.

His tone suddenly became gentle. "Signus, we are of the same kind. Only the two of us are worthy of standing at the pinnacle of power in this world. Cooperate with me, and I will let you share everything with me."

The glory of the future seemed to be reflected in his eyes, but he knew that he needed to wait and needed the unswerving devotion of this extremely wise little witch, as loyal as Bellatrix Lestrange.

But Segnus was not so easily tamed. She gently pushed Tom away, then took out a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped her fingers meticulously, as if the contact just now made her feel uncomfortable.

Tom was so angry when he saw this scene that he almost exploded. He threw Segnus onto the bed and said angrily, "How dare you despise me!"

Segnus remained calm, lying there with one hand supporting his head and a playful smile on his face.

"Are you going to use force, Senior Riddle? Or do you want to fight me with this remaining memory?"

Tom's chest rose and fell. He took a deep breath and tried to suppress the anger in his heart.

He knew that he was no match for Segnus alone, at least not yet.

There was no other way. His fists were not strong enough and his mouth was not fluent either. He could only take a deep breath and talk to Segnus in a different way.

"Signus, we both know that I have no ill will towards you."

He said as he found a comfortable position on the bed, his eyes locked on Cygnus, trying to decipher her inner thoughts.

"I understand that you prefer beautiful things, but look at me, am I not as good as that Harry Potter? In terms of strength, he is not necessarily better than me, right?"

Cygnus smiled slyly, slowly got up from the bed, and moved closer to Tom step by step.

Her hands slid gently across Tom's chest before she yanked him by his tie, pulling him close.

Those charming gray-blue eyes seem unfathomable, and one can easily fall into them if one is not careful.

The two were so close that Tom could almost count the number of Sensei's eyelashes. Her hot breath brushed gently against his ear, and her tone was full of ambiguity:

"Tom, you are indeed very handsome and attractive, but I'm sorry, I'm the only one who can stand at the top."

As soon as she finished speaking, she pushed Tom away, as if the intimacy just now had never happened, and she left the diary in an instant.

Tom was still confused, but Sensei disappeared like a gust of wind. He stamped his feet in anger, but what could he do?

Segnus left the diary, brushed off the non-existent dust, and without a trace of emotion on her face, headed straight for the abandoned girls' bathroom on the third floor.

Myrtle was sitting on the toilet sobbing quietly. When she saw Cygnus come in, she screamed, "You are not welcome here! Get out! No one cares about crying Myrtle."

Segnus stared at her coldly, and that look made Myrtle swallow the rest of her words back into her stomach and hurriedly hid in the toilet.

Then he walked to a washbasin carved with a snake head, unlocked the door of Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets with familiarity using Parseltongue, and stepped in.

Don't ask her how she knows that. She won't tell you that she just used Legilimency on Riddle.

The secret room was damp, the walls were covered with moss, and animal bones were scattered everywhere. It was obviously the territory of a large reptile.

But to Segnus, this environment was as familiar as his own backyard.

After walking through the winding stone corridor, we came to an open area.

All around, there are stone pillars with reliefs of ancient snakes coiled on them, as if silently telling ancient secrets.

The statue of Salazar Slytherin stood at the end, watching coldly what was about to happen.

The surroundings were eerily quiet, but she did not let her guard down.

Suddenly, there was an unsettling rubbing sound coming from the mouth of the Slytherin statue, and then a huge snake slid out and appeared in front of Sensenas.

She closed her eyes instantly, knowing clearly what it meant to look the basilisk directly in the eye - that would be a quick way to say goodbye to this world, and she didn't want to end her journey so early.

The basilisk was huge and disgusting, its emerald green body covered with mucus, and it stared at Segnus viciously.

Segnus' ears moved slightly, accurately capturing every movement of the basilisk.

Just as it was crawling towards her, she waved her arms decisively, and the green light instantly filled the entire secret room.

"Crucia!" She blurted out the spell, and this was not ordinary black magic. The move she used was more brutal than anyone else's. Even the basilisk had never seen such strong magic power.

"Bang!" Just a foot away from her, the basilisk collapsed to the ground in pain.

The ordinary people's piercing skills are simply unable to penetrate its hard scales, but who would have thought that a second-grade girl could release such a powerful force?

The battle ended quickly. Segnus thought there would be a fierce battle, but she didn't expect that the basilisk would be easily killed by an "Avada Kedavra" spell.

She couldn't help but curl her lips, feeling a little helpless. This so-called powerful enemy was nothing more than a fragile little reptile.

"What a bummer." Senus showed disdain on his face, but he dealt with the basilisk's body cleanly and efficiently.

She waved her wand and cast a "shatter into pieces" spell, and the basilisk was instantly blown into countless pieces.

Then, she took out a seemingly ordinary bag from her pocket, cast an Infinite Extension Spell, and easily collected the body fragments one by one.

After working for a while, Segnus looked around and made sure that nothing was missing. Then she waved her wand and cast "Clean Up" to clean the battlefield thoroughly.

Then, she walked leisurely towards the exit.
