Just as daybreak approached, Harry burst out from the fireplace at Malfoy Manor and bumped into Lucius, who was sitting on a plush sofa.

The newspaper in his hand rustled, his brows were furrowed, and his sharp eyes swept over Harry, as if trying to find some flaws in the world-famous savior in front of him - Harry Potter.

Harry was visibly uncomfortable; this was the first time he had come face to face with Lucius Malfoy.

"Signus is still asleep, Mr. Potter. You come here so early in the morning. Aren't you a little too hasty?" Lucius spoke coldly, with a hint of displeasure in his words.

He was very familiar with the little tricks in the minds of these young people. He had also gone through the same thing in the past.

However, he absolutely could not tolerate someone trying to uproot the roses he had carefully cared for!

"Okay, Mr. Malfoy, I'll wait here until Sensei wakes up." Harry responded cautiously.

Lucius nodded slightly, his eyes falling on the newspaper again with pretended concentration.

But Harry clearly felt that those eyes were staring at him closely in the dark, without relaxing for a moment.

The atmosphere in the room gradually became a little strange. Harry felt a little uncomfortable and planned to say something to break the awkward silence.

"Mr. Malfoy, the roses in your garden are so beautiful!" Harry exclaimed.

These words were like a sharp sword, piercing Lucius Malfoy's heart.

He knew in his heart that Harry's compliment was not from the heart, but was filled with hidden meaning.

The image of his daughter, Cygnus, who was as beautiful as a rose, appeared in Lucius' mind, and a sharp pain surged in his heart.

He threw the newspaper in his hand casually, and said with a hint of pride in his cold tone: "The roses of the Malfoy family are naturally gorgeous, there is no doubt about that. But some people just overestimate their own abilities and dare to compete with these beautiful flowers."

As soon as he finished speaking, Lucius's eagle-like eyes fixed on Harry, as if he wanted to see through his true intentions from his seemingly calm appearance.

However, Harry remained indifferent, seemingly unaware of the sarcasm in Lucius' words.

"Yes, sir, roses are indeed very beautiful flowers." As soon as he said this, he scratched the back of his neck uncomfortably, looking a little embarrassed.

Lucius's eyes flashed, and he was slightly surprised by Harry's answer.

This kid, is he really just here to compliment my garden? But he knew in his heart that Harry and his daughter had a special relationship.

"Mr. Potter, you are really good at talking." Lucius sneered, stood up, walked towards Harry step by step, and looked down at him. "But in this world, the more beautiful things are, the more thorns they often have. You'd better be careful."

Harry frowned. Lucius' hostility began to make him feel uneasy, but he was confused about the source of this hostility.

He didn't seem to really understand the deep meaning of Lucius' words. Instead, he nodded foolishly and agreed: "Yes, the more attractive the flowers are, the more thorns they have. We must be careful when dealing with them."

Lucius saw his stupid look and became even more furious.

He believed that Harry was deliberately pretending to be crazy, so he sneered and said in a more serious tone: "Mr. Potter, don't you know that if you get close to those thorny roses, you will get yourself hurt if you are not careful?"

Harry still looked innocent. He scratched his messy hair and responded nonchalantly: "Oh, I see. So I have to be extra careful when picking them."

Looking at Harry's stupid expression, Lucius wanted to pour out all his thoughts in one breath and put an end to this confusing drama.

He was struggling internally, but didn't want to lose his composure in such a fierce contest, so he took a deep breath of air and tried to enlighten Harry in other ways.

"Mr. Potter, what do you think of my daughter Cygnus?" Lucius changed the subject, his eyes as sharp as a knife, staring straight at Harry.

Harry was stunned for a moment. He had never expected Lucius to mention Cygnus out of the blue.

He answered honestly: "She is really outstanding, intelligent, brave, and beautiful."

After hearing this, Lucius's anger subsided a little, but he still reminded coldly: "Since you think so, then remember that she is the treasure of the Malfoy family, not someone that any Tom, Dick or Harry can covet."

Harry finally caught the hostility in Lucius' words. His throat rolled with nervousness, and he hurriedly tried to clarify: "Mr. Malfoy, I really didn't mean that..."

Suddenly, a burst of hurried footsteps sounded at the stairs, like the drumbeats of a battle, breaking the tense atmosphere that was almost about to break.

Cygnus came down from upstairs, breaking the tense atmosphere.

"Harry, you're here so early?" Cygnus greeted with a smile. Her presence made Harry feel much more relaxed.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief, watching Cygnus smile in relief, "Yes, Cygnus, I have something to tell you."

He took a deep breath, confronted Lucius's cold eyes, gritted his teeth, and continued, "Well... the Weasleys are having a small party, I... I want to invite you to join in the fun."

Segnus' eyes lit up, her curiosity aroused: "Really? It sounds interesting!"

But at this moment, Lucius snorted coldly, with a biting irony in his words, "Potter, you are so naive and cute. Do you think I would let Cygnus step into such a shabby occasion?"

Harry frowned and tried to explain, "Mr. Malfoy, you misunderstood. The Weasleys may not be luxurious, but their hospitality is unquestionable. They will..."

Before Harry could finish, Lucius' voice sounded again, "Shut up! Potter, you should know your place. Cygnus is my daughter. She is of such a noble status. How can she condescend to attend those inferior parties?"

Harry felt a nameless fire burning in his heart, but he knew that arguing with Lucius would only make the situation worse.

He clenched his teeth and forced himself to suppress the resentment in his heart.
