HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts

Chapter 114 Going Home for Christmas

"Signus, listen, you have to go back this Christmas, you have to!"

Draco looked at Cygnus seriously. He hadn't called Cygnus by her name for a long time, but he really couldn't bear the fact that his sister chose to stay in Hogwarts this Christmas.

You know, it’s been two years now, and this is already the third year!

Cygnus rubbed Draco's head, then pressed his shoulder to signal him to sit down.

She knew her brother's concerns, but she was also full of contradictions.

Then, she looked into Draco's expectant eyes and said with a smile:

"Well, I will go home for Christmas this year, but I hope to go back to school right after Christmas, after all, I still have unfinished business at school."

Draco's eyes suddenly brightened up. He held onto Cygnus' hand tightly and said excitedly, "Really? You're really going home? That's great! We'll prepare the most grand family gathering!"

Segnus smiled and nodded. She knew that although she could feel the warmth of her family when she returned home, she would also miss the happy time with her friends.

Especially, she had a feeling that her so-called uncle would definitely show up in Hogwarts during this winter vacation.

"But you have to promise me one thing." Cygnus suddenly became serious and looked at Draco.

"What is it? As long as I can do it, I will definitely agree to it!" Draco said seriously.

"Please tell my parents that everything is fine at school and that they should not worry. Also, when I go back, don't let them mention anything about my studies in front of me. I want to have a relaxing and happy Christmas."

Segnus pleaded.

After all, my father never wanted me to be too tired.

"Signus, I think I found something good"

Harry ignored the strange looks from the Slytherin students around him, read out the command and walked directly into the Slytherin common room.

Draco looked at Harry curiously and noticed that he was holding something tightly in his hand.

Harry winked at Draco, signaling him to ask the students in the common room to leave first.

Draco immediately understood what Harry meant, and he waved his hand, signaling everyone to leave.

The Slytherin students stared at Harry curiously with wide eyes, then dispersed.

Harry then carefully opened what was in his hand.

"Look, this is the Marauder's Map that Fred and George gave me."

Harry pointed his wand at the map and then gave the command: "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

Green cursive words appeared at the top of the map.

"Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, gentlemen dedicated to helping magical mischief-makers, present the Marauder's Map."

Every corner of Hogwarts was densely marked on it, and the most eye-catching were the moving dots, each of which represented a person walking inside Hogwarts.

"It's a magical map that shows the location of everyone in Hogwarts," Harry explained.

Draco's eyes widened. "This is against school rules. How did you get it?"

"Fred and George gave it to me," Harry said with a smug smile. "They hoped I would find it useful."

Cygnus looked at the Marauder's Map in Harry's hand, "Harry, this is amazing! I'm really happy that you're willing to share this map with us."

She turned to look at Draco, "But, we may have to go home for Christmas."

A trace of disappointment flashed across Harry's face, but he still tried to force a smile:

"I understand that family is important, I wish you a Merry Christmas!"

Draco muttered in dissatisfaction: "My sister should have been at home for Christmas. She hasn't been home for Christmas for two years."

He looked at Harry and said apologetically, "Harry, I know you wish we could spend this holiday together, but family is just as important to me."

Harry patted Draco on the shoulder to show his understanding: "It's okay, Draco, you go home and enjoy your reunion time, we will play together after school starts."

Draco nodded, then said to Cygnus:

"Sis, hurry up and pack your bags. We have to catch the Hogwarts Express home. Mom and Dad are probably waiting for us on the platform."

Cygnus nodded and said goodbye to Harry.

Harry looked at their leaving backs, feeling a little reluctant, but he knew that this Christmas was of great significance to Cygnus and Draco.

He turned back to the Gryffindor tower to pack up his presents and surprise his friends.

Segnus returned to his dormitory. Pansy was also packing her things. She was humming a light tune. When she saw Segnus coming in, she stopped what she was doing and smiled brightly.

"Signus, I heard that you are going home for Christmas this year? That's great!" Pansy said excitedly.

Cygnus smiled and nodded, "Yes, Pansy, I feel very happy too. After all, I haven't been home for Christmas for two years."

Pansy came over and gave Cygnus a hug. "So how's your packing going? Do you need any help?"

"Thank you, I'm almost done," replied Segnus.

The two sat down on the bed and started chatting about family matters.

Pansy told Cygnus that she was also looking forward to Christmas this year because her parents were going to take her to Paris for a trip.

"Paris? That's amazing!"

“Yes, I’m really looking forward to it!”

Pansy's eyes sparkled. "And I'll bring you a bottle of perfume from Paris. I heard that the wizards there have researched very different perfumes with unique magical effects."

Cygnus smiled and thanked Pansy, "That's very thoughtful. I'm really looking forward to your gift."

Pansy asked curiously, "Is there any country you want to visit? If you could go anywhere one day, where would you choose?"

Segnus thought for a moment, then answered, "I want to go to China. After all, it is a very ancient country, full of mystery and charm. I have read many books about the Chinese magic world. There is a unique magic culture and tradition there, and I have always longed to go there."

Pansy's eyes lit up: "Wow, China! I heard that the magic market there is very interesting, with many amazing magic items and herbs. We must go there together in the future!"

After packing up, Cygnus took Draco to the Owl House and sent their things back first, after all, there were still a few days before the holiday.

In the owl shed, various owls were calling one after another, making it seem particularly lively.

Levina was combing her beautiful feathers. Segnus tied the package to her legs and whispered to her, "Please make sure to get this home safely."

As soon as Segnus walked out of the Owl Shed, he was stopped by Blaise.

Blaise's expression became a little serious, "Signus, I think there are some things we need to talk about."

Cygnus raised an eyebrow, she obviously knew what Blaise would say.

Then he turned around and said to Draco, "You go back to the common room first. I'll be back in a moment."

Draco's eyes showed reluctance, but he nodded, turned and left.

Blaise looked at Draco's back as he left and said softly, "We can find a place to sit down and talk slowly."

As he spoke, he brought Segnus to the Black Lake.

The scenery by the lake is beautiful, with the sun shining on the water, making it sparkle.

The two found a rock to sit down. Blaise looked at Segnus's profile and couldn't help asking, "Segnus, are you with Theodore?"

Segnus was stunned for a moment, then smiled: "Why do you ask that?"

Blaise sighed, "During this period, you two have been inseparable. Everyone has seen it. Besides, the way Theodore looks at you is obviously not right. He must have other thoughts about you."

Segnus was silent for a while, then said, "We are good friends, but not the kind of relationship you described. Theodore is a very interesting person, and we are very happy when we are together, that's all."

Bryce frowned: "But I don't want to see you get hurt. Do you know Theodore's past? He used to..."

Segnus interrupted Blaise and said, "I already know what happened in the past. Everyone has his or her own past. We cannot deny a person because of the past. I believe Theodore is not that kind of person."

Blaise suddenly turned Seignus's body to face him and said sincerely, "If I tell you that I like you, Seignus, will you be willing to date me?"

Segnus was stunned. She didn't expect Blaise to suddenly confess his feelings.

She patted Blaise's hand, motioning him to let go, then looked calmly into his brown eyes and said with a smile:

"Brace, you are a good friend, but I only treat you as a friend. The relationship between us has not developed to that level."

Blaise's eyes flashed with disappointment, but he quickly adjusted his mood and said with a smile:

"I understand, Segnus. No matter what, I will respect your choice. I just hope you can give me a chance to prove that I can be a better partner."

Segnus shook his head: "Brace, you are very good, but feelings can't be forced. Let's continue to be friends. This will be better for everyone."

Blaise nodded, and although he felt a little heavy in his heart, he still respected Segnus' decision.

The two sat quietly by the lake, watching the sunset, and their moods became complicated.

After a long while, Blaise broke the silence:

"Signus, no matter what, I will always care about you and support you. If one day you find that Theodore is not the person you imagined, or you need a shoulder to lean on, remember to tell me."

Segnus smiled and said, "Thank you, Blaise, you are such a good friend. I believe that we will always be by each other's side and spend this wonderful time together. As for Theodore, we are just friends."

Cygnus and Blaise stood up and left, their figures gradually disappearing.

Theodore behind the tree silently watched the direction they left, with mixed feelings.

As Segnus left, she pretended to glance at the tree casually, the corners of her mouth slightly raised, revealing a meaningful smile.

In fact, Segnus had noticed Theodore a long time ago. She could even feel his gaze hidden behind the tree, and those words about friendship and love were just her way of letting Theodore understand her feelings.

In her heart, friendship and love are equally important. She hopes to treat them equally and does not want her own emotional problems to affect her relationship with Bryce and Theodore.

Both of them are just her tools.

Theodore's eyes darkened as he hid behind the tree. He knew that he was not worthy of Segnus and never expected it. As long as he had a place by Segnus' side, it would be enough, even if he was just a tool.

He looked at the backs of Cygnus and Blaise as they left, and an indescribable bitterness welled up in his heart.

When Cygnus returned to the Slytherin common room, Theodore followed.

While no one was paying attention, Segnus slipped a note into Theodore's hand.

Theodore unfolded the note, which read: "Meet in the Room of Requests tonight at 10 o'clock."

His heart tightened, and a hint of doubt and expectation flashed in his eyes.

As night fell, the Hogwarts bells struck ten.

Theodore came to the Room of Requirement and saw Cygnus standing by the window. The moonlight shone on her face, making her look particularly beautiful.

He walked over nervously and asked softly, "Signus, what do you want from me?"

"Theodore, you know, you've always been different from them in my opinion."

Cygnus' whispers rang in Theodore's ears, and he could feel Cygnus's hot breath from such a close distance.

Theodore lowered his head, his heart heavy as stone.

He knew that Cygnus' words were just another form of manipulation and that there was no true love in her heart.

She is a mystery, a mystery that even she herself is unwilling to solve.

He had always known that Cygnus was using him, that she loved no one, not even herself.

Cygnus smiled, and that smile was like the sunshine in winter, short and pale.

She gently placed Theodore's hand on her face, and the cold feeling made her shiver.

"You know, Theodore, sometimes I feel like you are my shadow, always by my side, but never speaking."

Segnus whispered, a complicated look in his eyes.

Theodore raised his head slightly, with a hint of struggle in his eyes.

He wanted to break free from Cygnus's bondage, but was afraid of losing this only warmth.

His heart was wavering in a fierce struggle.

Theodore silently withdrew his hand from Segnus' cheek. Although he was conflicted, he never thought of refusing her request.

He longed for Cygnus' love, even if it was just a hint of false warmth, he was willing to give everything for it, even his life.

After a moment of silence, Theodore asked softly, "Segnas, what is the matter that you called me over for?"

Segnus' eyes flashed, and a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth: "I want you to keep an eye on Gareth Selwyn, a second-year student."

Hearing the name, Theodore frowned.

He knew this Gareth Selwyn. Although he didn't know why he was targeting a second-year student, he understood that Segnus must have her reasons for asking him to do so.

He didn't ask the reason, but just nodded silently.
