HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts

Chapter 102: Cygnus Disappears

When she heard Tom call her sister, Segnace's smile could no longer be suppressed. She really didn't know why Tom thought she was his sister.

She shook her head and gently corrected him, "I'm not your sister, Tom, but if you want, I can be your teacher and teach you magic to make you stronger."

A smile appeared on Tom's lips. He didn't really regard Cygnus as his sister. After all, after being in the orphanage for so long, he had already learned how to use other people's sympathy to achieve his own goals.

He just felt that if there was a "sister" waiting for him outside, his chances of leaving the orphanage would be better.

Tom stared at Segnus with his dark eyes and asked softly, "So, can you tell me your name?"

Cygnus looked at Tom, who was only five years old, squatted down, and gently pinched his chin with her slender fingers:

"My name is Tang Chi, Tom Riddle. You must remember this name. It will be the most important name in your life."

There was a flash of surprise in Tom's eyes. He obviously didn't expect that this strange woman would say such serious words to him.

But he still nodded, indicating that he would remember the name.

Cygnus pulled out a green heart-shaped gem from her clothes and handed it to Tom.

The gem emits a soft light, just like the tender green leaves in spring, full of vitality.

She smiled and said, "This is our keepsake and also our little secret."

Tom took the gem, put it carefully into his shabby little bag, and patted it gently.

"I'll keep it safe. It's our secret."

Tom's eyes rested on the heart-shaped gem for a moment, then he looked up at Segnus, "So now, Mr. Chi, what do you want to teach me?"

Cygnus smiled and pulled a delicate little stick from her sleeve.

"This stick. When you are eleven years old, someone will take you to a school called Hogwarts. Before that, you can learn how to control your magic."

Tom took the stick and looked at it curiously.

The wooden stick was short and inconspicuous. To Tom, it was just an ordinary stick and nothing special.

But Segnus told Tom that he must first learn to sense magic.

Tom frowned and tried to close his eyes for a long time. Finally, he told Segnus helplessly that he felt nothing.

Segnus smiled lightly and said in a deliberately serious tone: "You probably didn't sense it because your talent is not enough, but don't worry, I will teach you."

She didn't tell Tom that the stick was just an ordinary stick. She just wanted to take this opportunity to hit Tom's self-confidence and make him believe in himself wholeheartedly.

Cygnus asked Tom to hold the stick tightly, then she put her hands around Tom's little hands and began to teach him how to concentrate.

She asked Tom to feel every inch of the stick carefully, looking for the faint fluctuation of magic power and then controlling it.

Tom followed Cygnus' instructions, closed his eyes tightly, frowned, and the stick in his hand seemed to become heavier and heavier in his heart.

He could sense the magic power, but he couldn't control it very well. Besides that, he was more concerned about the temperature of Segnus's palm, which was a reassuring warmth, a bit like the feeling of a mother.

The thought went round in Tom's head, and for the first time in his life he felt warm.

It's true that everyone likes him, but they like him in disguise, the handsome, sensible and polite Tom Riddle.

Tom looked up and stared at Cygnus' chin. Was she also because of her disguise?

He couldn't help but think that pretending to be a good kid would really attract other people's attention.

Just as Tom was about to say something, he suddenly felt dizzy, his eyes went dark, and he fainted.

Seeing this, Segnus immediately used a levitation spell to move Tom to the bed, then sat beside the bed, looking at little Tom with his eyes closed.

About two minutes later, Tom suddenly opened his eyes, with a hint of confusion in his eyes.

He looked at Cygnus, who was sitting at the head of the bed, looking a little shocked.

The next second, he hugged Segnus tightly in his arms, as if to confirm that everything he saw was real.

This hug surprised Segnus. She instinctively wanted to push Tom away, but she felt the unusual strength in him. Could a five-year-old child be so strong?

Tom let go of Cygnus, his dark eyes fixed on her, as if he wanted to carve her figure into his heart.

He could never forget her, this woman who only appeared for a period of time in his childhood and brought him endless longing.

He wanted to ask her why she left without saying goodbye when he needed her the most, but he suddenly remembered that it was the day he first met her.

Tom's expression became complicated in an instant, but Cygnus still keenly captured the changes in little Tom's soul. This was the sixteen-year-old Tom Riddle, a boy who would graduate from Hogwarts.

However, she did not alarm the enemy, but just smiled and patted Tom's shoulder, signaling him to be at ease.

Tom's body trembled slightly. He tried hard to suppress the fluctuations in his heart and tried to find the answer from Segnus' eyes.

His eyes were filled with nervousness and anticipation, and he cautiously asked, "Will you abandon me, Teacher Chi?"

Although he had anticipated the answer, he still held out a glimmer of hope that this time would be different.

Segnus smiled and answered truthfully: "There is an old saying in China, which goes, 'You can meet anyone anywhere in life. As long as you want, I am the wind, the rain, and everything in the world.'"

When Tom heard this, his tense expression gradually relaxed. He lowered his head slightly to hide the look in his eyes.

So she would still leave him, just like his mother, and choose to abandon him again.

He couldn't accept this reality, and an idea came to his mind: Is there any way to keep her by his side forever?

He wanted to become strong, strong enough to prevent her from leaving.

However, reality is always cruel.

While Tom was still thinking about how to keep Segnus, Segnus' figure gradually became blurred, as if it would disappear into the air at any time.

Tom panicked. He stretched out his hand to grab Cygnus, but he only grabbed a handful of starlight.

Cygnus disappeared, and although he knew she would reappear, this feeling of being out of control made him extremely irritated.
