Chapter 135: The Avengers and the X-Men Assemble

There is still one day left before the war.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Avengers Conference Room,

Nick Fury has now assembled the Avengers and the X-Men to discuss the battle plan.

"That's roughly the situation," Nick Fury said in a deep voice, "The chaos in Hell's Kitchen is not scary. What's scary is Chen Ye and his men.

They possess great power and will affect world peace.

Chen Ye must be eliminated. As for his subordinates, if they can be persuaded to surrender, try your best; if not, capture them alive.

"Then I wish you all success. Steve will be the one to assign tasks next," Nick Fury said and turned to leave. He had his own things to deal with.

Mr. Fantastic didn't listen to Nick Fury's so-called plan at all. He was looking at the group of superheroes around him, and an ambition arose in his heart.

He thought that if he could control this group of forces, he would definitely do better than Nick Fury.

As for the statement that Hell's Kitchen affects world peace, he scoffed.

He knew that the reason why Nick Fury wanted to destroy Chen Ye was because he could not control this power.

He believed that if the Fantastic Four did not join the Avengers, their fate would not be much better than Chen Ye and his group.

He actually understood Chen Ye's approach very well. If he himself had a force as powerful as Hell's Kitchen, he would not choose to join the Avengers. It's just that Chen Ye is still too young. If it were him, he would definitely not have such a bad relationship with the federal government.

"But soon, if that group of people's plan goes well, the Avengers will be led by me. But I don't like the name Avengers. What should we call it?" Thinking of this, Mr. Fantastic's mood improved.

The Human Torch on the side had no idea what Mr. Fantastic was thinking. He curiously asked his sister Susan the Invisible Woman, "Why do we have to capture those people alive? Why not just kill them?"

His voice was full of confusion and doubt.

Invisible Woman Susan glanced at him and signaled him not to ask any more questions.

However, the Stone Man walked over and said bluntly: "What else can we do? Those people in the federal government are just taking it for research and brainwashing." His words made everyone present feel a chill.

Invisible Woman Susan quickly told the stone man to shut up. She knew these things could not be said directly.

She looked at the other people present and found that their faces were full of dissatisfaction and helplessness.

She understood that they all knew these things, but they could not change them.

When the figure of Nick Fury disappeared at the door of the conference room, Captain America Steve slowly stood up and swept his eyes across the faces of every Avengers member and X-Men present. He knew that these people's faces were filled with various complex emotions: doubt, worry, and even resistance.

"I know that none of you here want to be a part of this war."

Steve's voice echoed in the conference room. His eyes were firm and his voice was full of determination. "But for the sake of world peace, to stop the spread of Hell's Kitchen, and to eliminate the source of evil - Chen Ye, we must stand up!"

"I will lead the charge in this battle!" His words were like a raging fire, trying to ignite the fighting spirit of everyone present.

However, he received only sparse applause in response, mainly from Hawkeye and Human Torch.

No one else cared about Steve, the so-called captain of the Avengers.

Professor X looked into the distance with a smile, perhaps wondering whether S.H.I.E.L.D. would end up like Hell's Kitchen, and what the future of mutants would be.

His heart was filled with worry and anxiety, but his face remained calm and composed.

Wolverine leaned in the corner and smoked a cigarette. He didn't care who his opponent was. He just wanted to know his past. His eyes revealed a deep confusion and loneliness, as if he had lost his way in this world.

Natasha held her forehead with a speechless look on her face. It would be worse if Captain America's mobilization had not happened.

Dr. Banner, the Hulk, doesn't care who he is fighting. He hates violence and doesn't like war.

He joined the Avengers just for the protection of SHIELD, so that he would not be hunted by the military, and also because SHIELD's complete scientific research equipment might be able to restore him to his original state. He has had enough of the big green guy in his body!

Seeing Mr. Beast Hank, who is also a scientist and a mutant who can transform, Dr. Banner starts a discussion with Mr. Beast.

Storm strongly disagrees with Nick Fury's style, and she also knows that there are many mutants around Chen Ye. Doesn't she understand why she should help the federal government to deal with her compatriots?

Many people present had basically no grudge against Hell's Kitchen, and they only joined the Avengers because they had no choice but to join this war.

"Okay, whether you are willing or not, please don't hold me back!" Captain America shrugged when he saw the people present. He would avenge Bucky no matter how this battle ended!

There was a firm gleam in his eyes, as if nothing could shake his determination.

He knew that many people present would not put in enough effort, but he did not care. He was determined to kill Chen Ye even at the cost of his life.

"Everyone present should have realized the strength of Chen Ye, the Lord of Hell. I hope everyone will not be careless, otherwise I am afraid that everyone's life will be left in Hell's Kitchen!"

Captain America Steve kindly reminded everyone and then turned and left the meeting room. He wanted to prepare well for the upcoming battle.

Ikaris, who was above S.H.I.E.L.D., also saw the scene in the conference room. He smiled and said to Captain Marvel Carol, "Your teammates are really interesting, but it seems that they are reluctant to participate in this war."

There was a sense of playfulness and ridicule in his smile.

Carol snorted disdainfully: "Even without them, I can handle it. I don't understand why we have to set a three-day deadline. It's really a waste of my time."

There was a sense of confidence and disdain in her voice.

"Let's go. It's still early. Let's warm up first." Carol looked at Ikaris eagerly.

Her eyes were shining with excitement and anticipation, as if she couldn't wait to start the battle.

Feeling Carol's passionate gaze, Ikaris quickly waved his hands: "Spare me!"

There was a sense of helplessness and pleading in his voice.

"Let's go," Carol said, taking Ikaris' hand and flying out into outer space.

Their figures quickly disappeared in space, leaving only silence and emptiness.

In the office of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury looked out the window, his eyes revealed a depth and calculation. He had already anticipated the reaction of the Avengers members and had already left a way out for himself.

"Then I'll leave it to you," he said to the man on the sofa.

What’s surprising is that this person looks exactly like Nick Fury.
