Anan had never seen him so happy before. In front of Mr. Ji, he even acted like a child. Huaizhu, who accompanied him the whole time, had been influenced by them since childhood, so she could naturally speak and talk with them, drink and chat with them. It was so lively that the meal lasted for two hours.

Anan was busy pouring wine. She noticed Huaizhu glanced at her from time to time, but she pretended not to see.

Mr. Ji was old after all, and even if he was happy, he couldn't handle the alcohol. He stood up to stretch his muscles and said to him, "Yunyu, I can't handle the alcohol. I have to go back and rest."

After saying that, he motioned Huaizhu to support him. Although Huaizhu was a little hesitant, she still went forward to support her father. Before leaving, she turned back and smiled at Anan, "Yunyu also drank a few more cups today. I can't take care of him, so I'll have to trouble you, sister."

Anan did not answer, but just moved slightly forward and followed the father and daughter out of the main house.

The drunk man walked out of the main house. He staggered at first, but later he walked steadily. The child came over to support him, and he walked briskly.

Huaizhu deliberately slowed down her pace, and when her father was a little further away, she whispered to Anan, "I'm new to this village, and I'm not familiar with the surroundings. Would you mind showing me around?"

Anan looked down at his toes and smiled softly. He did not look into her eyes and said, "Forgive me, young lady. I still have work to do."

After saying that, she was about to leave without even looking at Huaizhu. Huan'er took a step forward, blocked her way, and sneered, "Miss Nan, the master is just being nice and polite to you, do you really think she's easy to bully?"

Anan lowered his head and smiled without saying anything.

"I really forgot that you can call the shots in this farm just by serving the master. Why do you need to be nice to the master?" Huan'er took another step forward, almost sticking to Anan.

"Huan'er! I just indulged you too much! Kneel down!" Huaizhu scolded the maid, and her voice was gentle to the core. It didn't sound like a reproach, but more like concern. "Apologize to Miss Nan!"

Huan'er was unhappy, but she still knelt down with a plop, and said to Anan angrily: "This servant deserves death for offending the young lady."

Anan stepped aside and stood behind the master and servant. He bowed to Huaizhu and turned away.

Huaizhu stood there alone, with his hands behind his back, quietly looking at the empty yard. He smiled faintly as he listened to Huaizhu chattering about how Anan had thrown himself into the arms of his master and how he had turned Xinyun Manor upside down.

The next morning, Chunyue came to deliver breakfast. He frowned and asked, "Where's Anan?"

Chunyue smiled and said, "Miss, you drank too much last night with Aunt Yu, and you are still asleep now!"

He thought of her drinking habits and her blood-pumping laziness, and his face suddenly darkened.

Chunyue naturally didn't notice his expression. She seemed to recall what happened last night and couldn't help laughing, "Miss Nan usually only knows how to do accounts and doesn't seem to like writing poems or reciting lyrics. But now that she's drunk, she seems to like elegant things. I don't know if she doesn't understand anything else. She just keeps reciting the same sentence."

"Which one?" He asked helplessly, shaking his head.

The little girl nodded and said with a smile: "The mountains are bright because of the jade in the rocks, and the rivers are charming because of the pearls in the water."

He took a deep breath and stared at the empty corridor, thinking.
