Reborn in the 60s and adopted

Chapter 4 Adopted by Uncle 3

After dawn, Tang Mei got up from her creaking broken bed.

After putting on his patched clothes, he followed Tang's father and mother to his uncle's house without any food.

Dad Tang should have already discussed it with Uncle Tang last night.

The third uncle's house was made of the same mud brick as the second branch of the Tang family, but it was covered with thatch and had four habitable rooms.

In the middle is the main hall, with a room on each side. The one on the right has two doorways that lead into the main hall and the kitchen.

There is also a door next to the kitchen leading to a room, and there is another room in the corner with a separate door next to the toilet and a warehouse for storing grain and farm tools.

There are a few empty small sheds in the yard outside, which should be used to feed chickens and pigs.

Tang Mei was visiting her third uncle's house when she heard her mother's voice.

"Uncle San, my second brother told you last night that Tang Mei will be yours, but you have to give our family the food."

"I know, I know." Uncle Tang rubbed his hands. His face, which rarely smiled, was now full of smiles as he looked at Tang Mei.

Uncle Tang looks 7% similar to Tang's father, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes. He may have just learned the craft from Tang's father a few years ago, so his back is still relatively straight.

"Second sister-in-law, give it to me."

Third Aunt Tang held a winnowing basket filled with nearly 30 kilograms of millet and handed it to Mother Tang.

Tang's mother took it and pushed Tang Mei towards Aunt Tang San, saying, "Tang Mei, this is your future mother. Follow your Aunt San and don't come to my house anymore."

Tang Mei staggered after being pushed, and was hugged by Aunt Tang San, which prevented her from falling to the ground. Aunt Tang San hugged Tang Mei, touched her hair, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Tang Mei looked at her beautiful Third Aunt Liu Lin. In her memory, there was a hint of sadness between her aunt's brows. Whenever she saw Tang Mei picking pig grass, she would come to help.

Aunt Tang's nails were very neatly trimmed, with some black lines on the nails from long-term labor. Her clothes were also the loose-fitting dark blue style of the era, and she was clean. Well, not bad.

Tang Mei stood up with the help of her aunt, squeezed out some tears and said to Tang's mother: "Mom, I will listen to you. I won't go back."

"From now on, don't call me mom. Call me Second Aunt. Got it?"

"..." Tang Mei thought to herself, you must dislike me so much. Well, since you don't want to acknowledge me as your daughter, I can only accept it.

"Second sister-in-law, Meimei is your biological daughter after all. Why should I call you like this in the future?" Third Aunt said disapprovingly.

"Once you leave my house, you are no longer a member of my family. Third sister-in-law, you are lucky to have picked up a baby girl and brought her home."

"Shuzhen" Tang's father looked at Tang's mother with a headache. Although he disagreed in his heart, he didn't say anything. After all, it was given to the third brother, so he was the third brother's little kid.

"Second brother, I..." Tang's mother lowered her head a little fearfully and looked at Tang's father aggrievedly.

"Shuzhen, I understand what you mean. Meimei is your niece from now on. Let's go back. Lao San, go home and get Meimei's clothes and quilts.

From now on, Meimei will be the third room's baby." Tang's father said as he picked up the dustpan with one hand and took Tang's mother's hand with the other, and slowly walked out of the third room's door.

"Second brother, have dinner with second sister-in-law before going back," Third Uncle chased after Tang's father.

"No need to eat anymore. Come with me to my house." Tang's father's tone was not very good.

"Good Le"

As he spoke, he gradually disappeared. Tang Mei's eyes became sore as she watched.

Tang's father and mother's words and the fact that they left the house without even looking at Tang Mei made the little bit of consciousness in little Tang Mei's body gradually dissipate.

Tang Mei was always a little uneasy about the verbal adoption. She thought for a moment and felt that she should let her third aunt go to the village chief to write a formal document. Seeing that the third aunt was so thoughtful and small, Tang Mei understood that Tang Mei's previous life was really difficult. She didn't think much about it and followed her wishes to chase Tang Sanshu to do this matter.

Just before noon, Uncle Tang, the village chief, and Tang Mei's father sat together in the yard. Because the adoption had been agreed upon before and there were no problems, the village chief took out a pen and paper and carefully drafted the adoption document. Every word was carefully considered to ensure the rigor and legality of the document. Tang Mei stood aside, watching quietly, her eyes revealing her expectations for the future. When the document was completed, the three of them signed their names on it, successfully completing the adoption procedure.

At this moment, Tang Mei finally felt relieved. She knew that this document would become a new bond between her and her uncle, and would also sever the last bit of affection between Tang Mei and her father and mother.
