"Bang bang bang!"

Holmes fired several shots, but the undead horse was too fast, and the shots only grazed the remaining flames of the Headless Horseman.

Moriarty took the lightsaber thrown by Joshua and stood in front of Mrs. Emerson. He crossed his silver-white sword and blue-purple lightsaber in front of his chest, blocking the bronze sword swung by the headless knight.

The blue-purple wires climbed up the knight's sword. The headless knight's wrist loosened, and the lightsaber only climbed up the knight's head carved on the gold.

The headless knight jumped off his horse and kicked the hilt of Moriarty's sword. The force of the impact pushed Moriarty far away.

Moriarty somersaulted backwards and steadied himself. The hand holding the hilt of the sword was kicked by the heavy armor, and large areas of skin had turned purple, with blood oozing from some places.

"James!" Holmes exclaimed in surprise, "You have such skills!"

"There are still many things you don't know." Moriarty glanced at Holmes and smiled.

He stood up, waved his long sword, held it horizontally in front of him, and flew behind the headless knight's horse.

The headless knight took advantage of Moriarty's opportunity to pick up the bronze sword that fell on the ground, jumped onto the horse, and chased after Andrew and Mrs. Emerson who were fleeing.

Edward pulled the trigger of his pistol and shot at the flaming horse's hoof. The bullet hit the bones of the undead horse and bounced back in the blink of an eye.

The headless knight soon ran behind Mrs. Emerson and Andrew, holding his sword high, and the soft moonlight illuminated the sharp blade.

"Why did you have to kill my mother!"

Andrew stopped in front of Mrs. Emerson and asked loudly.

"Of course I'll let her reunite with her evil husband first! Lucas loves you so much and has been protecting you all these years. I'm doing this to help them become husband and wife! Get out of here, I'll take care of you later!"

The headless knight roared, raised his horse's hoof and kicked Andrew hard in the chest. Andrew was kicked backwards several times, coughed up blood, and lay on the ground motionless.

“Andrew! Andrew!”

Mrs. Emerson cried out in despair, but the headless knight in front of her began his next move.

The headless knight raised his sword, and the tip of the sword slid through the air, leaving an orange-red afterimage, and slashed straight towards Mrs. Emerson's neck.

Moriarty quickened his pace, his eyes wide open, he bit his back teeth and stretched out his left hand, but he was still too late to block the Headless Knight's sword.

At the critical moment, Edward blocked Mrs. Emerson's body with his own, and the bronze sword slashed into Edward's chest. The orange-red flame passed through his chest, and the wound was burned black.

A large amount of blood gushed out from the wound, and Edward fell into Mrs. Emerson's arms, holding his chest.

"Edward, Edward!"

Mrs. Emerson supported Edward as he fell back. His crying voice had already become hoarse and rough.

"Mother, please forgive my evasion and dishonesty." Edward said to his wife tremblingly.

"No, my child, you're going to be fine! Just hang in there!"

"Mother, I love you, Mother."

In the distance, Moriarty once again blocked the attack of the Headless Horseman with his sword, but this time he failed to dodge the undead horse's fast-moving front hooves.

He was kicked hard in the chest, and the huge force sent Moriarty flying.

Fortunately, Holmes caught him in time, followed by an anxious Joshua.

Moriarty coughed up a mouthful of blood. Two charred holes were burned on his chest, and the exposed skin was scratched with blood.

The headless knight still held the knight's sword high in his hand, and the orange-red flames and blood dripped onto the ground.

"Claviers... Libersteins..."

Edward used up his last bit of strength and chanted this spell that he was already familiar with.

After saying the short spell, he closed his eyes forever in Mrs. Emerson's arms.

A tear oozed from Edward's eye, flowed down his cheek, mixed with Mrs. Emerson's painful tears, and dripped onto the ground below.
