After the War of the Ancients, Malfurion Stormrage's brother Illidan poured three vials of water from the Well of Eternity into the river atop Mount Hyjal. Alexstrasza, along with Ysera and Nozdormu, decided to use this second well to heal the devastated land and placed a branch of the Mother Tree G'Hanir into Hyjal's new Well of Souls. This branch later grew into Azeroth's first World Tree, named Nordrassil.

Ten thousand years after the Second War, Nekros, a Dragonmaw orc named Skullcrusher, obtained the Dragon Soul from Warchief Zuluhed. With the power of this ancient artifact, Nekros and the Dragonmaw orcs entered the lair of the red dragonflight and captured Alexstrasza and her consorts, including Tyranastrasz. The offspring of these dragons were later used by the orcs as powerful war mounts. Alexstrasza was forced to succumb to such terrible slavery, and her unborn children died at the hands of their cruel captors. As the guardian of life, this caused Alexstrasza far more pain than anything else, and she would howl in sorrow at the killing and murder of her children.

After the Second War, Alexstrasza became even more valuable to the Horde as a source of military strength, and was therefore closely guarded. However, Deathwing, the traitor who had betrayed Alexstrasza and was one of the main culprits in her suffering after the Second War, planned to lure her away and steal her children, hoping to give birth to his own offspring. In this thrilling battle, Tyranastrasz bravely faced Deathwing, but unfortunately, he was ultimately defeated by the powerful black dragon and died heroically. However, at the critical moment, the dragon queen Alexstrasza successfully broke free and gained freedom. She opened her mouth without hesitation and swallowed the evil dragon hunter Nekros in one gulp, completely breaking free from his control.

After gaining her freedom, Alexstrasza did not stop, she quickly flew to the trapped children and rescued them from the clutches of the tribe. In the process, she showed the greatness of maternal love and perseverance.

At the same time, her former spouse Korialstrasz also came to support her. With his help, Alexstrasza successfully reunited with the remaining Aspects - Nozdormu, Malygos and Ysera. The human mage Rhonin took this opportunity to destroy the Demon Soul and release the imprisoned dragon power. These powerful forces gathered together, giving the Aspects enough power to drive Deathwing away.

Although Neltharion finally escaped with his cunning and strength, the destroyed orc caravan remained forever in the swamps of the wetlands. These vehicles witnessed the fierce battle and became part of history.

Alexstrasza's children finally returned to the protector of life. They took on important responsibilities and began to work hard to revive the nearly extinct race. Under Alexstrasza's leadership, they spread their wings and brought hope and vitality to the world.

Although her spouse and children still have a profound influence on Azeroth, Alexstrasza's own position is still mostly unknown. The Dragon Queen traveled to Wyrmrest Temple in Northrend and rallied the Wyrmrest Accord to fight against the blue dragon forces in the Nexus War.

Alexstrasza is usually found on the top floor of Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight. She is a very tall (almost twice the size of a blood elf player character) female high elf or blood elf with amber eyes, long horns, and pink skin. Alexstrasza also appears during the Eye of Eternity raid in Angartha and the Nexus after the quest Return to Angartha is completed (she will reenact the battle at that time) and leads the children to help the player kill the Spellweaver.

When Azeroth was attacked by the Emerald Nightmare, Alexstrasza was so distraught that she headed to the Greatshade without hesitation. She rushed there in a hurry to rescue Broll Bearmantle, Tyrande Whisperwind, and Eranikus from Lethon and Emeriss.

Then, Alexstrasza found Eranikus and told him a surprising news: Ysera fully understood his desire to isolate himself from the world! With her wisdom and words, she successfully persuaded Eranikus to join the ranks of the people in the Emerald Dream to find the missing Malfurion Stormrage.

In that thrilling nightmare battle, Alexstrasza took on an important responsibility - staying and guarding the portal. At the same time, the brave and fearless druids rushed into the Emerald Dream without hesitation and started a life-and-death contest.

It was then that Tyrande, Lukan, and Thura became prisoners of the Nightmare Lord, who created a vision of Alexstrasza's capture in an attempt to crush their hopes.

After the conflict ended, she and her sister Ysera blessed the new World Tree Teldrassil and presided over the wedding ceremony of Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage and Tyrande Whisperwind.

Alexstrasza and Deathwing engaged in a thrilling battle in Twilight Highlands. Within minutes of the battle, the two fell to the ground in a fierce struggle. Exhausted and severely wounded, Alexstrasza fell to the ground and transformed into her human form, while Deathwing fell out of sight on the other side of the mountains.
