StarTie Simulation: Aren’t you NPCs?
Chapter 25: Revenge
Wu Xuan looked at the reputation value prompt that had never appeared before him and said softly: "It's connected... It's all connected..."
But he thought again, doesn't this mean that he will have to play the game at least twice in the future? Otherwise, he won't be able to find the optimal solution...
Suddenly, he remembered a task type that had not appeared in the task list.
——Stage tasks.
"The reward for the first stage of the "Punk Lord" mission is that you can see the results of your choices. It seems that this game is quite user-friendly... It doesn't use long plots and almost abnormal battle card player rhythm..."
Wu Xuan, who was originally feeling a bit discouraged because he might have to make multiple attempts to play the next game, suddenly became more motivated.
As the saying goes, "a short pain is worse than a long pain." Everything before completing the first stage of the mission is a "short pain." It's the same as some turn-based games that don't enable double-speed combat and automatic combat at the very beginning. The current stage is like a novice guide.
But Wu Xuan once again fell into an emo state when he thought of this. He muttered with some regret: "Why am I still being beaten so badly in the novice guide..."
Then he patted his cheek again, as if to warn himself not to give up, and then shifted his gaze to the light screen in front of him and muttered to himself: "Old thing... just wait, I will dig out your eyes and sell them for money..."
If there were someone around Wu Xuan now, they would probably be able to see balls of blue flames floating around him.
——That was the resentment he felt because of the terrain and the sneak attack dogs.
(os: When I wrote this paragraph, I remembered the feeling of not hitting the target with my two vibrating swords. I wanted to die)
[You and Silver Wolf wandered around the residential area near the black market for a while and found the entrance to the "dark alley" that the woman mentioned. As expected, an old man was sitting at the open alley.]
[You know very well that this old man should be the "Mr. Andrew" mentioned by the woman just now, so you took the lead to step forward and ask:]
[1.Have you ever seen a man whose half face is robotic? ]
【2.Excuse me...Are you Mr. Andrew? 】
【3. Player independent input】
When Wu Xuan saw these three options, a sly smile appeared on his face. Ever since he watched the CG after that battle, he had always wanted to teach this old man a lesson.
Thinking of this, Wu Xuan chose option three without hesitation, and a familiar cursor and input box appeared on the light screen.
The young man's mouth curled up slightly. There was nothing he could do last time...I let you, an old man, be the fisherman once and the oriole again.
But this time... he, Wu Xuan, is the hunter. He doesn't care whether this old guy will sneak attack him this time. Even if he doesn't... if this hidden danger is left here, no one knows what will happen in the future.
Following the basic logic of uprooting the grass at its roots and never talking nonsense in a fight...Wu Xuan finally decided to remove his mechanical prosthetic eye.
Wu Xuan's fingers kept moving on the virtual keyboard. As words and commands were issued one after another, the self in the light curtain began to act according to his own wishes.
[The moment you saw this old man, you felt something was wrong. Why was "Skull Crusher" so cruel, and still left a person in the outside world? For people like them... isn't it a basic operation to cut off the roots? ]
[But you are not that cruel. It is not your style to kill others without any explanation. You decide to test this old guy first.]
[You walked forward quickly, looked at the glowing red mechanical eye and asked:]
"Old man... do you know "Skullbreaker"? He is a man whose half face is mechanical."
[Andrew heard your voice and slowly raised his head to look at you. The moment he saw your face clearly, his body shook uncontrollably, and his mechanical eye shrank slightly due to the fluctuation of emotions. It seemed that he was a little...afraid of you?]
[But those who can survive in "Punk Lord" are naturally not easy to deal with. He quickly restrained his emotions and replied softly:]
"I know... but I need to know who you are first... I can't watch you die in vain."
The old guy's words were so sincere that if Wu Xuan had met this guy for the first time, he might have been really confused by his appearance.
"What a pity... you are meeting a second-round player~" Wu Xuan said as his fingers kept tapping characters on the virtual keyboard generated by the light curtain.
[After hearing his words, your alertness did not decrease, but became more and more alert. You suspected that this old guy was in cahoots with Skull Crusher, and the words he just said might be to help Skull Crusher gather information.]
【Thinking of this, a smile appeared on your lips, and then you continued in a soft voice:】
"Mr. Andrew, we are bounty hunters. This criminal... must have caused you a lot of trouble, right?"
Andrew nodded repeatedly after hearing what you said, and continued, "Yes, yes, ever since he came here some time ago... the few remaining residents of "Dark Alley" were either plundered and expelled by him, or killed by him... He is not interested in an old man like me, alas..."
However, the sympathetic comfort that the old man imagined did not appear. When he looked up again... the pitch-black straight knife had appeared above his head, and Wu Xuan, who had been smiling, was now terrifyingly cold.
"If that's the case... then why are you still here? Still trying to get information for him?"
"I don't know what you are talking about... He has done so much to me, why would I still do things for him?!" Andrew said this in an aggrieved voice, looking innocent as if he had been wronged.
But Wu Xuan didn't buy it. Facing Andrew's "pitying", he sneered and said, "Then why were you so nervous and so... scared the moment you saw me?"
"Well...I...I..."
"Stop talking about you, me, and him. Your logic is completely different from what you said. I'm giving you a chance. Either you explain the truth clearly, or..."
Wu Xuan waved the straight knife in his hand as if threatening and then whispered a word: "Die..."
Seeing Andrew's hesitant expression, Wu Xuan raised the corner of his mouth slightly, and continued to put pressure on him, saying: "It should be what happened in the Embers Tavern that has been leaked... If you are not in the same group as the Skull Crusher, and you are not a bounty hunter, but are really just a victim..."
"You don't care about any news from the tavern, am I right? And... your mechanical eye is not that valuable. Most bounty hunters wouldn't look at you even if they want to supplement their family income. Besides, you've lived here for so long... you naturally know where you are."
"The conclusion is still the same. You don't care about the news in the tavern at all."
Seeing that Andrew still didn't want to say anything, Wu Xuan sighed helplessly and said softly: "Forget it... If you don't want to say it, then forget it."
Andrew was slightly stunned when he heard this, but the next second Wu Xuan's words made him feel like he was falling into an ice cave.
"Give me your eyes as payment for your life... your life is only worth this much."
Without waiting for Andrew's consent, Wu Xuan snatched the crutch placed aside, pulled out the blade from the cane that Andrew used to sneak attack others, and stabbed it into his eye socket the next moment.
With a strong twist, the mechanical prosthetic eye was gouged out by Wu Xuan.
He ignored Andrew's screams, threw the blade in the staff casually onto the sandy ground, then took Silver Wolf's hand and slowly walked into the "dark alley".
But just before the boy stepped into the "dark alley", Wu Xuan turned his head and shouted to Andrew who was still screaming: "Take your dirty tricks and get out of here!"
------------------
I thought about this chapter for a long time, and finally decided to portray Wu Xuan of "Punk Lord" as a ruthless person with a smiling tiger type, because this is a lawless area, and Wu Xuan here is a "bounty hunter". The fact that he has been making a living alone in the wilderness until he was eighteen years old can explain a lot of problems.
I will write down my understanding here first, and then explain my thoughts in detail when this volume is finished. If there is anything inconsistent, please tell me directly. The writer background on the PC allows me to reply directly.
Also, the pictures have been stuck these days, I will post them in a few days. Now I have worked out a template for Silver Wolf and a template for Kafka, so stay tuned.
