The Domineering Chief Dotes on His Wife

Zuo Nai was guarding outside the door. The family of three inside was arguing. He didn't know what to do, so he called Lu Jingshen, but Lu Jingshen's phone was unreachable as he was on a plane to Jincheng, City B.

When Lin Jiaran opened the door, Zuo Nai had just put away his phone and was about to go in to persuade her.

"Where are you going, ma'am?" Lin Jiaran just glanced at Zuo Nai at the door without saying hello, and walked to the side of the corridor.

Zuo Nai followed and asked.

"Your sister, I don't know you." Lin Jiaran stopped and said sideways.

"It was the president who asked me to stay in the hospital. Your body hasn't fully recovered yet, so you can't leave the hospital now." Zuo Nai explained.

"I'm going to get some fresh air. You go to the ward and see if they're fighting."

"Then you..." Zuo Nai said worriedly. He was only responsible for her safety, and he couldn't explain if anything happened to her.

"I said I just want to get some fresh air, I'm not going to die!" Lin Jiaran said impatiently.

Lin Jiaran went to the hospital rooftop. Before Zuo Nai went to the ward, he called Lu Jingshen again, but still couldn't get through.

The hospital rooftop was surrounded by a two-meter-high wall and was empty all around. Lin Jiaran sat down against the wall and wiped her tears alone.

Outside the airport, Lin Qing was sitting in the back seat of a business car. Lu Jingshen was walking out of the airport, and Zuo Meng followed him. He held a mobile phone in his hand, pressing the power button while walking towards the parked business car.

"How is my sister?" Lin Qing spoke first when the car door opened and Lu Jingshen hadn't gotten in.

"I don't want to sit in the same row with you!" Lu Jingshen said with disgust.

"Will I die if I just put up with you? You make it sound like I want to sit with you!"

"Sit in the back!" Lu Jingshen still stood outside the car and ordered Lin Qing to sit in the third row, as if he would not sit in the back if Lin Qing did not sit in the back. Lin Qing, who had something to ask for, patiently gave way to him and sat in the last row. Lu Jingshen then sat in a seat next to Lin Qing's.

"You can be discharged from the hospital the day after tomorrow." Lu Jingshen replied to Lin Qing after getting into the car.

After turning on his phone, he received dozens of missed calls from Zuo Nai.

"What's the matter?" Lu Jingshen returned Zuo Nai's call.

"I don't know what Mr. Lin and his wife had some dispute and parted unhappily. Now his wife is sitting on the rooftop and won't leave." Zuo Nai was talking quietly to Lu Jingshen on the phone at the entrance to the rooftop.

"Has she been beaten?"

"Probably not." Zuo Nai said uncertainly. He only knew that there was a quarrel inside when he heard the loud argument between Lin Yehua and Zhang Yuqin later.

Lu Jingshen hung up the phone impatiently without waiting for Zuo Naido to say anything more.

After Lu Jingshen hung up the phone, he called Lin Yehua again.

"Didn't we agree to accommodate her in everything? Why did you make her so angry that you went to the rooftop?" Lu Jingshen said as soon as Lin Yehua answered the phone.

"She threatened to commit suicide, but I was already polite to her!" Lin Yehua was persuaded to leave by Zuo Nai and was on his way home alone. After Lin Yehua left, Zuo Nai talked to Lin Jiaran and she went back to the ward.

"You didn't hit her, did you?" he asked doubtfully, his eyes slightly narrowed.

"I'm home now." Lin Yehua didn't mention a word about what he had just done. Lu Jingshen promised him that if he could refrain from doing it, Lu Jingshen would circle a few more zeros on the contract.

"If I return to Ancheng in a few days and find that she has any extra injuries on her body, we can discuss cooperation later!" Lu Jingshen deliberately released the news.
