"Don't talk about this. I'm just an ordinary person. What I pursue is a better body, a longer life, and a higher quality of life. As for other things, that's not what I'm pursuing now." Tian Qingyong waved his hand.

"We don't pursue high goals. It's not that we have to do something, it's good enough if it's a little better than it is now." Liu Xiaoyu interjected.

It's easy to say this, but the people sitting here are not fools. They all know each other. A person will have different troubles depending on his position, and this cannot be changed by human will.

Most of the time, people often let their butts determine their heads. They sing the song that suits the mountain they are on. This is human nature and is inevitable.

Tian Qingyong asked Zhang Lan if he had any books or guides on spiritual practice. He felt that it might not be easy to find someone, and if Zhang Lan knew someone, it might be easier to introduce him to them.

As the saying goes, a teacher can only lead you to the door, but it is up to you to practice. Although most people pay more attention to the second half of the sentence, in fact, the most important thing is the one who leads you to the door, not the one who practices.

Only when you step into the threshold do you have the opportunity to talk about the future. If you haven't even stepped into the threshold, what's the point of talking about the future?

There is a saying that goes like this: After three years of study, you can conquer the world, but after another three years of study, you can hardly make a single move.

Why? Because the scope of vision has changed.

The smaller the vision of a person, the stronger his "action power". Why? Because he does things without considering the consequences, or he simply does not know what consequences his actions will have.

So, he caught a cold, and someone told him to take some hot medicine, and his illness got better.

But he didn't know that there are all kinds of diseases in this world, and coupled with his arrogance and ego, he thought he was a doctor, so when he saw a sick person, he told him that he needed to take hot medicine.

But what about people with fever? Taking fever medicine may make their condition worse or even kill them. But they don’t understand that their actions will have such consequences, so they may confidently create a lot of bad karma without knowing it.

So, when you don’t have enough confidence, it’s better to learn to control your mouth.

It is very complicated to guide so-called practitioners, because everyone's pace is different. Some people may just learn to walk, so you have to teach them how to walk.

Some people may be more familiar with walking, so you can teach them how to run. If you meet a fish, you should teach them how to swim. If you meet a bird, you should teach them how to fly.

Everyone’s problems are different, so without a deeper understanding, it is impossible to prescribe the right medicine.

Talking about a bunch of things that you don't really understand and don't really believe in is essentially irresponsible to others. A person should learn to be responsible for himself and others, and this is what it means to be a mature person.

Many times, as long as the truth is quoted, it will benefit people. It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand it yourself, because others will understand it when they see it.

But if you add a few words to the truth out of self-righteousness, it may become a source of misleading. You must learn to be self-aware and not make things worse.

If you remind some people that they have fallen into emptiness and have become hard-hearted, and that people should be loyal and affectionate, they will say that you are a disciple of Mara.

If you remind some people that they have fallen into a trap and have directly become superstitious and magnified greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance and doubt, and have stepped into the three hells, they will say that you are stubborn and their "god" will not save you in the future.

Some people have become slaves to their brains. If you remind them not to be intellectual followers, they will say that you are unreasonable, ignorant and arrogant.

Some people regard acrobatics as spiritual practice. When you remind them that what they need to cultivate is the mind, they say that they don’t have the realm, the realization, and haven’t opened up the eight extraordinary meridians, so they can’t sit there for hours without breathing.

These are all counted within the Buddhist teachings. The various messy and evil views of the outside world are endless and limitless. Each of these evil views will eventually lead people into the pit of greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance and doubt.

What should we do? To be honest, there is no way. There is only one way, that is, when someone has the opportunity to be saved in a certain way, we should save him in that way.

Don't force, don't be obsessed, just let everything go with the flow.

Fate brings people together no matter how far they are apart. When the opportunity comes, the person will naturally appear before your eyes. And you are just a person who adds the finishing touch.

Therefore, you must first draw the dragon well before you can meet someone who can add the finishing touches to it. As for the question itself, the Buddha was once walking on the road with Ananda when they saw a huge fruit tree. The fruit tree was so big that it blocked out the sun and the fruits it produced were so abundant that the people of a city could not eat them all.

The Buddha said to Ananda, this big fruit tree also came from a very small seed. If you plant a good seed carefully, you will be able to harvest countless good fruits in the future.

Look at the Bodhi tree behind the Buddha. It is millions of miles high, but it also grew from a tiny Bodhi seed.

Many people seem to have been farming all their lives, but in fact, they are still planting the seeds of greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance and doubt all day long. We cannot blame the land or the seeds for this.

Some people simply leave the land abandoned, which is also a waste.

There are some people who just use their imagination to farm the land, but in fact they never plant a single seed in the ground.

What's worse, they use bricks, plastic foam, and glass bottles as seeds, plant them in the ground, and hope to harvest a bunch of beautiful fruits.

People always have all kinds of strange ideas, and they don’t seem strange after seeing them so many times.

Some people really cannot be changed without beating, scolding or provoking, because they are too weak and lack the courage to find themselves. So you can only scold them to wake them up. If scolding doesn't wake them up, then forget it, find another job and let everything go with the flow.

It is normal that people are more likely to appreciate the love of a loving mother and less likely to remember the kindness of a strict father. So it is not easy to be a good person.

Let's talk about the practice. Practice is to verify the merits from within. Outsiders can't see it at all. Only you can know it yourself. Sometimes even you don't know it, so you have to ask those who have already realized it. This is also called verification.

Many people who practice inner cultivation are very humble, and there are even precepts that prohibit them from deliberately showing off their merits. So they may appear very ordinary on the outside, eating, sleeping, going to work, and going home from get off work with everyone.

This is what practicing Buddhism is all about. It is not about achieving some result in one lifetime, but about practicing from lifetime to lifetime. As for those who succeed quickly, you don’t know how many lifetimes they have practiced for. It may be many more lifetimes than you think. The cause and effect are accumulated in the Alaya consciousness, which is completely invisible to ordinary people.

Whether a person succeeds or not, no matter what the result is, as long as he is on the right path, in the long run, he will succeed sooner or later; it is just a matter of time.

It is countless times stronger than those who have never practiced or have no affinity at all.

This is the road you take. Either don't start and live your whole life in a muddle, or once you start, you can't stop and must produce results, no matter how many years it takes.
