A Wizard's Survival Guide to the 20th Century
Chapter 90 35 Confidential Information
Field opened the door and walked in, and saw a bulging folder with a torn seal that read the remaining half of "Secret...Level 2...".
Team Leader Cruise sat behind his desk and lit a cigar as if nothing had happened. He turned to look at the two people and said.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh." Field retracted his gaze and said, "We had a new harvest while patrolling, and we encountered a big fish from the Metalia family..."
They briefly recounted what happened to Team Leader Cruise, who took a deep drag on his cigar after listening.
"Lion." After a moment, Team Leader Cruise slowly came to a conclusion.
"It interferes with the normal use of other witchcraft. This is a typical beast's witchcraft."
“Coupled with the characteristics of four people moving in groups and their deafening roars, it is most likely that their characteristics are ‘lion’.”
"I think so, but we handed them over to the state police, and we can get accurate answers after testing the spinal fluid," Field said.
Team leader Cruise nodded, then thought for a moment and spoke.
"You went to write a briefing...and you killed one of them, right?"
Field was stunned for a moment, then said: "The situation was urgent, I just wanted to scare them and make them surrender."
"But you killed one of them anyway - without permission." Cruise pointed out the problem.
Levi on the side understood what they were talking about. There was indeed a rule in the investigators' regulations that prohibited killing wizards or monsters at will.
"But..." Field probed carefully, "They won't let us increase the rating?"
"Westin, there are some idiots who set up rules that we don't need to follow so strictly - such as the prohibition on alcohol." Cruise shook his head and said, "But there are some things we can only do according to the regulations, such as the investigator regulations. Besides, we I’m not entirely sure whether what those Toltecs said is true…Of course I believe you, but the headquarters won’t trust you that much.”
"Relax, a lumbar puncture is not that difficult to accept, not to mention you can also get administrative leave, at least it is better than being locked up in a wizard prison, right?"
When he heard the words "Wizard Prison", Field visibly trembled, and then said in frustration.
"Okay, I'll kill her."
"Okay, put this in the briefing as well." Cruise nodded with satisfaction, "And congratulations on being granted administrative leave."
Field muttered and walked out, which showed that even the old investigator was very resistant to this kind of inspection.
Cruise looked at Levi again and asked, "What about you?"
"Field and I have visited the neighborhood we are going to patrol three times, and we have even seen the toilets."
"I think there won't be a second elite monster there for the time being." Levi said, "I want to go out to buy something, replenish bullets or something, should it be reimbursed, right?"
Cruise nodded again. Although he was a little surprised by the words Levi said, he still understood the meaning.
"Of course, you go ahead," he said, "but remember to keep the receipt."
Levi nodded and left the office, not forgetting to close the small door of the office before leaving.
Team leader Chris sat and watched him leave. After coming for a while, he took a puff of his cigar and looked at the bulging document bag.
Team Leader Cruise pulled out all the documents and found one of them.
The words "Confidential Information" were printed in black ink on the white paper.
Turning to the first page, it says:
Before reading this material, please confirm that you have obtained confidentiality level 2 or above, and guarantee that you will not reveal any secrets recorded in this material. Anyone who leaks information will be wanted by the BOI and all state police departments in the United States and charged with subversion.
Cruise turned over and found something like this on the second page of the material.

[Appendix 21: Summary of Secretary-Nicolas Flamel’s information]
Cruise found Appendix 21, which was the life record of Mr. Flamel. Some of them were collected by the BOI themselves, and many were provided by the OKT of the Baroque Republic, that is, the Knights Templar.
There was a lot of information written on it, but Team Leader Cruise's eyes moved quickly, and finally he looked at an inconspicuous sentence among the many descriptions.
Cruise once didn't notice the anomaly in this passage. There were so many blackouts in this passage that didn't record many secrets, but now it seems...
[…his body was never found…found in the Saint-Innocent Cemetery in Paris…after…]
Large sections are blacked out, obviously headquarters doesn't want anyone to know what happens next, and the next half page is completely unreadable, until the last sentence.
[…temporarily recognized as Kingdom, Alchemist]
……
Levi was indeed out of bullets, with only eight rounds left. He originally planned to go directly to pick up Charlie's school uniform today, but now it seems that he can stop by the gun store first.
It was the one owned by the Robbins family. The last time he visited, Levi found that their bullets and craftsmanship were pretty good, at least they didn't fool people with damp ammunition.
What's more, now that Levi is a guest to them, they may be able to get some discounts.
Not long after walking along Lombard Street, Levi once again opened the small door of this stylish gun shop that looked like a coffee shop.
Today is a busy day with work, and I’m tearfully updating one day. I can only write down some settings related to the work to compensate you_(:3」∠)_
