Chapter 113 Dobby’s Cake
In the restaurant, the family gathered around the table and looked at the indescribable mass on the table.
"Um...Dobby, is this a cake you made?"
Hermione's expression was indescribable.
What was placed on the tray in front of me was a ball of black goo. I could barely tell that it was a cake through the white buttercream and exposed base.
Dobby's little chest was high and he looked proud.
"This is the cake Dobby made especially for Hermione. Madam taught me."
The others immediately focused their attention on Mrs. Granger.
The lady looked at Dobby with a smile.
"Dobby studied very seriously. It's great to be able to do this all morning."
Hermione winced.
"Since it was taught by you yourself, mother, do you want to taste the fruits of your teaching?"
Mrs. Granger's expression visibly stiffened.
"Dobby did this for you personally. How can I have the nerve to take advantage of others?"
Hermione sighed, looking at Dobby's earnest expression, she really couldn't bear to hurt the elf's heart.
But is this thing really edible?
She rolled her eyes and glanced at Mr. Granger, who was pretending to read a newspaper.
"Dad~ Do you want to try it?"
Facing his smiling daughter and looking at the "dark dishes" on the table, Mr. Granger's Adam's apple rolled.
"Well, no need for that, I'm full."
It was okay if I didn't mention it, but Hermione's anger started again when I mentioned it.
"You're full after eating my black forest cake, aren't you~"
The little girl pursed her lips and said, "In this way, if you take a bite of Dobby's cake, I won't be angry with you. How about wiping out the past?"
Mr. Granger was confused.
However, it was obvious that he wanted to gain the understanding of his precious daughter, and he closed his eyes.
"Okay, I'll eat it!"
He stood up suddenly, picked up the knife and fork, and walked towards the cake as if he was about to die heroically.
But when he saw that what was flowing on it was probably a mixture of butter and something unknown, he swallowed.
He looked at Hermione.
"Do you really want dad to eat this?"
Seeing his precious daughter nodding fiercely, Mr. Granger turned his seeking eyes to Mo Bai behind her.
But Mo Bai just smiled and shrugged.
I can't control her.
Seeing that there was nothing the foreign aid could do, Mr. Granger could only pick up a piece of cake with trembling hands.
Miraculously, the layer of flowing indescribable material on top was easily separated by the knife and fork, without any dripping down.
All eyes were on him.
"Aww!"
After one sip, Mr. Granger blinked.
"It seems...not bad?"
Hermione opened her eyes wide, "It's really fake!"
"Really, why don't you give it a try?"
"I do not want!"
"Then take a bite of Mo Bai!"
While they were arguing, Mo Bai and Dobby looked out the window at the same time.
The sound of flapping wings came from the window, and after a while, an owl covered with mixed feathers flew in.
He was about to hit the cake on the table.
"Dobby's cake!"
The elf's already round eyes opened wider, and he waved his hand to control the owl.
"More than!"
Mo Bai suddenly called him.
Dobby looked at him instinctively.
Then Mo Bai saw with satisfaction that the owl dived into the unknown object called a cake on the table.
Cream splashed all of a sudden, and Mo Bai had already pulled Hermione back two steps to avoid the cream.
He looked at Mr. Granger who was splashed all over.
"It's a pity that I can't eat anymore."
Mr. Granger blinked and licked the cream from his mouth.
"But it's really delicious..."
"Errol?!"
Hermione made a sound in surprise, and Mo Bai also looked at the owl who was dizzy in a meal of cream.
Isn't this the one from Ron's family?
"It should be a letter from Ron."
After a while, the messy tabletop was cleaned up by Mo Bai with magic. Mrs. Granger was comforting the elf who was secretly sad because his achievements were ruined.
Hermione was comforting Errol with one hand and reading the letter with the other.
"Did the Weasley family actually win the lottery?"
Hermione looked at Mo Bai.
"What prize?"
"Do you remember that Ron said that his father didn't win the Daily Prophet lottery? This time he finally won 700 gold galleons."
"Quite a few."
Compared to the Weasley family, which only had a little more than one gold galleons in savings, this was a huge sum of money.
"Now he can finally get a new wand."
"Not only that," Hermione shook the letter, "Mr. and Mrs. Weasley are going to take their whole family on a trip!"
"That's great. Where are you going?"
"Egypt, Ron's brother happens to work there."
Hermione lay on the table, "Ron just wrote this letter on purpose to show off to me."
The little girl held her chin up and looked at the letter.
"Egypt seems to have pyramids."
Seeing the little girl's expression, Mo Bai's heart moved.
"Are you interested in Egypt?"
The little girl glanced at him and said, "It's okay. I just saw the description of the pyramid when I was reading a book, and I always wanted to see what it looked like."
"How about that?" She thought of something and her eyes lit up.
"Let's go traveling as a family!"
Hermione was looking at the Grangers.
The Grangers looked at each other with a troubled look in their eyes.
"Unfortunately, honey, Mr. Sebastian from the Vandenheim family introduced us to the dental care work of several nobles two days ago, and we have already agreed."
"The fees have been paid over there, and we really can't leave during this period."
Hermione wrinkled her nose, "Okay then."
Mo Bai's eyes moved, "Actually, if uncle and aunt are relieved, I can take Hermione on a trip."
Before the Grangers could answer, Hermione stood up.
"Is that okay?!"
Mrs. Granger looked hesitant, "It's just you two children going out, what about the safety issue?"
"Don't worry!" Hermione ran directly to her mother and grabbed her arm, "Bai is here, what are you afraid of?"
"Mom, please~"
Mrs. Granger looked at her husband, and both of them thought of Mo Bai's ability to come and go without a trace, and the big hole in the yard of the old house that had not yet been filled.
"Okay then, be safe."
"Okay!"
With her long brown hair flying, the little girl ran directly to the bedroom, obviously going to pack her things.
Looking at Lei Lifengxing's back, the three people in the room all smiled helplessly.
"White."
Mo Bai raised his head, and Mr. Granger looked at him seriously, "Hermione, please leave it to you."
The young man smiled lightly and said, "It is my duty to do so."
At the door of Hermione's bedroom, Mo Bai looked helplessly at Hermione who was happily packing her boxes.
"Are you that impatient?"
Hermione shook her long hair and said, "Why does that guy Ron have to show off to me, as if no one can go on a trip?"
Mo Bai shook his head helplessly.
No matter how smart the little girl is, she is still a strong child.
"You don't need to be in such a hurry, we won't be able to leave for a while."
Hermione stopped and turned to look at him.
"What?"
"My 'one' is coming."
Hermione's face suddenly became serious.
