If the ice channel is too slippery, or the route design is too straight, the inertia generated by the sliding wood after entering the ice channel will cause it to run faster and faster.

If you slide halfway up the mountain, you will probably deviate from the original trajectory and fly into the sky, flying straight towards the rocks or trees on the opposite side.

The wood is full of water, half a meter or one meter in diameter, four to six meters long, and weighs tons.

In the severe cold of minus 30 degrees Celsius, it is actually a giant popsicle, and the wood will become extremely hard and brittle.

If it hits the cliff on the opposite side, there will be a loud noise and the wood will turn into countless small wooden strips.

They dispersed in the air, and then fell down the mountain like rain, becoming a stack of wooden strips.

If it hits the woods, the huge impact will break all the trees and knock them down, causing huge losses.

And once the flying wood hits a person, the person is crushed into pulp almost instantly.

So when the wood was sliding down, it wasn't just Sheng Xiping who was watching.

The forest farm's safety officers and production dispatchers are all on site, so we are afraid of any danger.

Fortunately, the ravine Sheng Xiping chose was good, and the slope itself was not that steep.

There are a few not-so-sharp turns in the middle, which can reduce the speed of the wood sliding, but will not let the wood rush out of the ice channel directly.

Almost every lumberjack will encounter a kind of tree called "overlord tree" in his logging career.

This tree is actually the king of trees.

The Changbai Mountain area is dominated by "Hadayang" trees, which are very thick poplar trees.

The diameter of this kind of tree is too thick, usually more than two meters in diameter. The guide plate of the chain saw is not long enough, and the saw cannot cut through it in one cut.

Of course, this kind of tree is not a problem for smart and experienced lumberjacks.

After they have finished cutting one side of the tree, they will then turn the "wood ruler" around and connect it with the previous saw cut on the other side of the tree.

If they still can't cut through, they will make more cuts at the top and bottom of the tree to pull out the wood pieces.

Sit the chain saw directly into the tree and cut progressively.

Sometimes, it only takes a day to cut down this tree.

This tree is very difficult to cut and requires an experienced logger.

It has only been two years since Li Dazhuang turned from an apprentice to a formal lumberjack. He had never encountered this kind of tree before, only watching his master handle it.

He followed the master's method and sawed through the upper part of the tree, but the tree would not fall.

This made Li Dazhuang and Wang Jianshe worried, so Wang Jianshe sent Zhang Zhijun to come to Sheng Xiping for discussion.

If you encounter a situation when the tree refuses to fall even though the hawthorn has been sawed through, you can throw a cotton hat or coat in the direction where the tree is going to fall.

The wind caused by throwing things will cause the wood to fall.

If that doesn't work, you have to burn incense and worship the mountain god.

But these days, those bad habits are being eradicated. Who dares to burn incense to worship the mountain god?

"Stop fooling around, why is this thing necessary to worship the mountain god?"

Sheng Xiping glanced at Li Dazhuang and said speechlessly.

"Construction, where's the saw wedge? Bring it."

The saw wedge mentioned by Sheng Xiping, commonly known as hawthorn saw, is generally used when the tree is "reflected" or falls in the wrong direction.

For example, when a tree is about to fall and a sudden gust of wind changes the direction of the tree's fall, a saw wedge comes in handy.

Put the saw wedge into the saw kerf, use the steel ingot ax to aim at the tail of the saw wedge, and push it forward.

The force of falling such a thick tree is too great. If it is really injured, the life of the child will be over on the spot, right?
