On the one hand, for each type of engine, even if all tests are carried out once, several thousand working hours and about half a year of bench testing are required.

If there are more concurrent models, you will have to wait in line.

On the other hand, the SB101 test bench can only be used to test turbojet and turbofan engines.

Engines such as turboprop, turboshaft or piston require completely different test benches because they output shaft power and have different requirements for air bleed indicators.

The engine test bench is unique to 624 in China.

Therefore, when Jiang Fuhe talked about this topic, his awkward expression just now softened a lot:

"With the previous experience of Platform 1, the progress of Platform 2 is much faster. At present, there is only one hydraulic dynamometer left that is not in place yet."

The hydraulic dynamometer is the core structure for measuring shaft work. It uses a hydraulic transmission system to simulate the load and calculates the power output by measuring the flow and pressure changes of the liquid.

"This thing is not said to be complicated, but the aerospace engine has high output power and fast rotation speed, and it also needs to rotate at high speed in a water environment for a long time, which tests the accuracy, lifespan and sealing of some parts."
