Hogwarts: Atypical Slytherin

Chapter 137 Confrontation (page 12)

"What on earth is going on? Sir?" There was a loud noise on the stone fence, and Dumbledore heard a familiar shout coming from the door.

He did not change the password to the principal's office. Of course, in just a moment, he knew the identity of the person coming.

"Claudine..." He sat in front of his desk. Fox, who had just passed away, seemed to have lost his previous memory and made a sloppy cry on the warm sand table. It heard Dumbledore's call and turned its head in confusion.

"Fox." He sighed again.

"What on earth is going on?" The owner of the voice passed through the dense stone stairs and finally stood in front of him.

The black pupils were flashing with confusion. Miss Albert was fierce, but when she came to him, the hot anger was quickly suppressed by herself.

Dumbledore didn't speak, just sat there.

Sit there quietly.

He hasn't decided yet how to deal with matters related to Miss Albert.

"I told you, there is a basilisk in Hogwarts." She suppressed the unreasonable anger rising in her heart, "I thought you had already dealt with it."

"Who else knows about this? Miss Albert?"

"No one, sir," Miss Albert replied coldly, "because I believe you can handle the matter."

She couldn't imagine her expression when she knew someone in the school had been petrified again, but she knew it wouldn't look good. The fear of escaping from the basilisk's mouth that time was still lingering on the back of her head.

Anyone - any unprepared person who encounters a basilisk in this situation will inevitably die - although she doesn't know why all the petrification incidents happen in Hogwarts, this is really too... It's dangerous.

There are her teachers and her friends on campus - the teachers may already know the existence of the basilisk and know how to avoid it. Her friends have also begun to pay close attention to the corridors under her warning, but why do they have to live in such a world full of monsters? What about in an environment of fear and insecurity?

She doesn't understand...

And Dumbledore's weird attitude, when did they become so alienated?

The nirvana phoenix has no repulsion towards the new humans who have entered its territory. It stares with beady eyes, as if it doesn't understand why she looks so angry.

"We need to talk," she pressed. "We need to talk, Professor."

"What are you talking about?" Dumbledore spoke gently, seeming to be extra tolerant of her particularly offensive attitude, "Don't worry, Miss Albert, the school can handle this matter."

"Now I don't believe it." She stared at his every move, "You didn't let this matter end."

"It's not easy to say, miss." Dumbledore's attitude was still gentle, "But no one will be hurt. After the potion is made, everything will return to normal."

"So you just let a basilisk wander around the campus?!" She pressed forward, "What are you planning? This is too abnormal."

Dumbledore just kept smiling, as if he had nothing to explain to her.

"I don't understand - I don't understand, Albus, what happened?" What kind of event could make a person almost completely different for a few days?

Young Miss Albert could not understand Dumbledore's inner conflict. She just stared at him, wanting an answer from him.

Dumbledore... the greatest white wizard in the wizarding world, he did have his own plan, he was strategizing, and he was even willing to achieve his goal at any cost - even at his own expense. But at this moment, he did allow himself to be in some kind of contradiction.

In some ways, Miss Albert was indeed very - very similar to him, although he didn't want to admit it. But their desire to control things around them almost comes from the same place.

He has seen geniuses who simply grew up in the magical world and eventually went to subversion, and he has also seen extremes living in the mezzanine. But he did know very little about Muggles - he had never really come into contact with a genius who was born and raised in the Muggle world and had only received Muggle education before.

What is your impression of Muggles? He only stayed on the body of his sister who suddenly went berserk with magic power and died soon, and his father who angrily killed the Muggles who bullied his sister and was eventually arrested and imprisoned.

Of course he has no prejudice against Muggles, and he does not support the so-called pure-blood theory.

Gellert, his——, their exchange of letters reminded him of the beginning. When a person has given so much trust to another person, it is difficult for him to give it to anyone else.

Even though he knew everything about Miss Albert, something was still beyond his control.

And his plan... affects the whole body. No one can guarantee what changes will occur in the next part, but it must be too much to bear. There are too many things mixed in here. He can't imagine Miss Albert getting involved again. look like.

But Clooney obviously didn't think so. She looked like she was about to use Legilimency on him in the next second.

"You have to tell me -" she approached him almost pleadingly, "what happened? What can I do? What are you preparing for? Don't exclude me - you understand clearly!"

"Claudine." Dumbledore's attitude seemed a little relaxed, "I just didn't know how to tell you."

"You were not part of my plans."

"what's the plan?"

Dumbledore was silent again. But he had no intention of stopping her approach.

So she took it a step further.

The girl almost trapped him in her seat, her arms tightly hugging the armrests on both sides.

"She has grown up." Dumbledore thought unconsciously. After all, he had never seen this little girl in such a posture. It was completely different from the weakness and dependence she had when she was a child. She could actually become so strong.

Dumbledore even felt an ambivalent sense of relief.

He didn't want this girl to be as independent and dangerous as he expected, but as a simple elder, he should be happy for her at this moment.

It was a pity that Miss Albert did not sense his inner conflict.

Instead, she became more aggressive: "I said it a long time ago."

Their foreheads were almost touching. Such a rebellious move was beyond her own expectations, but she didn't realize it. The anger almost burned out Claudius's mind, "You know everything about me, Albus, now you tell me what you are doing." You want to exclude me? When we have already decided to stand on the same side?"

Dumbledore was the first to move his eyes away and stare somewhere else.

He was also surprised by his own behavior - if it had been any other person, he might have left long ago.

But now, he seemed to be nailed to this seat. He didn't want to say anything, but he expected Clooney to say something more, or...ask something more.

It seemed like no one had ever been so candid as she was.
