The group gods who retired to fish in Genshin Impact

Chapter 1530: What a decadent day! Does anyone still remember the big cake I painted for you before?

Ah, ah, what a depressing day. Although I should update the main text today, I don't know why I don't feel like doing it at all. It may be because I had too much fun, or maybe this is how writing a novel is. If I don't write the main text for one day, I will never want to write the main text for the rest of my life.

So I decided to write another temporary chapter. Although it is possible that I will suddenly want to write some real text while I am writing it, I think this possibility is not high.

After all, the text is already wet, and no matter how hard you try, you can't just start writing the main text while it's wet.

Then what should we say about the water? I don't know, I don't want to water, I don't want to write, I just want to be quiet, but the opportunity to ask for leave has been used up, I can't stop updating, and it's a bit troublesome to stop updating and lose my full attendance.

Although I have changed my career, the production of clothes and props is still in its infancy and has not yet reached the level of being able to make money.

Although I have been praised by other teachers at comic conventions before, saying that my Jason COS costume can be sold for a lot of money, but I can't take their praise seriously and take myself too seriously. If I do that, I would be a bit ignorant of my own limitations.

I know what my costume is going to look like.

It looks good, but actually it has a lot of flaws, so there is absolutely no way I'm going to sell it.

However, if the next few COS costumes and props are successful, they can be sold.

Yes, I will also make COS costumes and props next.

After returning from the comic convention in August, I started thinking about whether I should continue doing it.

Although COS is indeed a pleasant thing, because I don’t have enough time now, I always make props and costumes in a scattered manner, which sometimes causes the props to be not consistent enough and not fixed firmly.

So I’m a bit hesitant to continue doing it.

And to be honest, I have no experience in using those related tools before, and I am afraid that I will not do it well if I do it rashly.

Because when making Jason's COS costume, to put it bluntly, it was just a modified work.

The outer clothes are purchased ready-made and then cut out by myself. The inner clothes are also unused clothes that have been painted and fixed with fasteners. There is not much technical content.

The only difficulty may be the production and fixation of the bone model, as well as the production of the silicone skin and the coordination of the proportion of silicone.

Strictly speaking, these are not that difficult. As long as the color is good and it is mixed evenly with the silicone, just apply it on the clothes and the headgear.

If it is well made, it will not fade or fall off. However, because I did not do it well, the silicone not only faded, it also fell off, and for some reason it was always in a melted or semi-melted state.

These mistakes made me feel that I still have a long way to go in this aspect of making, so I am a little afraid to make more difficult props.

Moreover, as for clothing, I have not yet learned how to sew systematically. I have only learned how to draw, and my drawings are not good-looking.

Therefore, I have some doubts about whether I should continue to make COS costumes and props in the future. I am thinking whether I should calm down and learn the basics of clothing making first.

But after the comic convention ended, many teachers have been encouraging and supporting me over the past few days. They said that my work has been very good and I have done a good job, so I can continue.

Give me some courage to give it a try. No matter if I do well or not, at least I have tried it. Even if I do not do well, I have gained experience and will know how to improve next time.

Just like this time's Jason cosplay costume, what I actually wanted to do was to remake the submerged Jason COS costume from the seventh film.

But my original plan was to release Pyramid Head after releasing Jason.

If you reset the Submariner Jason COS suit, you won't be able to make the Pyramid Head anymore, and you'll be using the same character twice. If there's improvement, it's fine, but if not, it'd feel a bit unfair.

Actually, the original intention was to produce a stand, but the shelf behind the stand, including the one I wanted to make at that time, was a movable shelf.

Carried on the back, it is divided into 2 to 3 layers and can hold 7 slime boxes.

Each box contains different things. When someone comes to the comic convention to collect stamps or do something else, a box will be randomly drawn and people will be asked to randomly touch the materials.

My initial idea was that the shelf could be movable, but how does it move?

Isn't the shelf of Liben carried on the back of the purchase? My idea is that if I want to take the box, I don't need to take the shelf off my body, I can just reach out and touch it, just like a revolving door.

Whenever I want a box on a certain layer, I just reach out and touch it, then release and take the buckle, and the box and the part that holds the box can be hooked to the front by my hand, just like a revolving door, and it will rotate by itself.

Then when I don't use it, I push it outwards and behind me with my hands, and then click the buckle and it can be buckled again. It is both stable and convenient.

I wanted to make a shelf like this, but later I found that I couldn’t understand the principles behind it, and the production process was a bit complicated, so I didn’t dare to do it.

Then I also struggled with whether to make a prototype this time, but when I thought about the shelf, its production process was more complicated, and it also required the design of some simple mechanics, so I became even less confident.

Then I saw a tutorial online on how to make armor out of cardboard, and I thought of another character.

You should know that I am a big fan of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. After I saw the tutorial on how to make armor out of cardboard, I wondered if I could also follow this tutorial to make a set of cardboard armor, and then play the role of Zhang Fei, played by Mr. Li in the 86 version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Because I personally like the Three Kingdoms very much. You should also know that I have talked a lot about the Three Kingdoms before, both in books and in groups.

I also wanted to create a character from the Three Kingdoms. When I went to a comic convention for the first time, I also thought about bringing a Three Kingdoms character to the convention.

But I don’t like the costumes sold online, and the armor is that kind of studio armor that is very ugly and not good-looking, and does not conform to the original work, so I have never bought it. Then this time I saw the tutorial for making that armor, and I was a little tempted, and I wanted to give it a try.

Then I started choosing targets.

As a fan of Shu Han, my first choice of task is definitely to start with Shu Han.

But I also like Dian Wei, Sun Ce and others very much.

So I was just thinking about which character, and then I compared them.

As for Dian Wei, this face shape is not suitable.

As for Sun Ce, this body shape is not suitable.

As for Lu Bu, he is not suitable because he is not tall enough and has the right temperament.

If he were the emperor's uncle, he wouldn't have that kind of aura, heroism, and righteousness, and it wouldn't be appropriate.

As for Erye, his face shape and eye shape are not very suitable for him, with phoenix eyes, a heavy face and a long beard.

Besides, Erye is very tall and strong, but my neck is a little short, so it doesn’t fit me.

Then look at the Third Master, he has a leopard head, round eyes, a full forehead, a relatively round face, and eyes that can be wide open.

Then he had a broad back and strong arms, a bit like that, a bit close.

It looks okay at normal times, but when it moves, it has a bit of recklessness, a bit similar, a bit close.

身高的话,三爷的身高不清楚,不过86版《三国演义》里三爷的演员李老师的身高大概在1米81~1m83之间,体重是78kg到80kg之间。

My height is 1 meters and my weight is currently between 82kg and 85kg.

Height and weight are pretty close.

Moreover, compared with the weapons of the Second Master, Dian Wei, Sun Ce, Lu Bu, and the Emperor's Uncle, the Third Master's weapons are also easier to make.

So I was thinking about whether I should make San Ye, but because the production process of armor is extremely long, it takes about 3 to 4 months, so I didn’t dare to do it.

Because it was already May, I came up with the idea for COS around the end of May, and then from the end of May to August 5th there were only three months...less than three months, just over two months.

In fact, it was definitely not enough, so I chose Jason at that time. After Jason appeared, I was in a dilemma between these four characters when it came to COS this time.

I was torn between Pyramid Head, Resetting the Water Ghost Jason, Liben and San Ye for a long time, about two or three days.

Later, because I had played a horror character once, the teachers I met at the comic convention thought that I could continue, and the original plan was to play a Pyramid Head after Jason.

The production of props for Liben and Sanye is extremely complicated, and I’m not sure about it now, so after much thought, I finally chose Triangle Head as the next character.

The role of Triangle Head also paved the way for the creation of subsequent characters, and it was also the beginning of my first money making in this industry.

Because I plan to make the helmet and knife of the triangle head myself.

As for the helmet, for my own personal considerations, I decided to use thin iron sheets, cardboard and discarded safety helmets to make it.

I originally planned to use cardboard, but then I thought that cardboard might be a little fragile.

After all, there are a lot of people at comic conventions, and if it's windy or rainy that day, or if you're taking a break at the convention and take off the helmet and put it aside, if it's not fixed properly, the fixed shape will fall apart, and it will be troublesome if it can't be repaired on the spot.

So I thought about it and decided to use cardboard to make the frame of the triangular helmet first, and then use iron sheets to stick a layer of base inside for support. After that, after all the accessories on the outside are completed, I will paint it.

In this case, it is faster to use cardboard to make the outer shape, because cardboard is easy to cut. If there are 2 to 4 pieces of iron sheets as the base inside, it can also ensure that the cardboard helmet is not so easy to fall apart or deform.

As for the knife, I selected hot melt glue, welding gun, electric drill, angle grinder, sander, solid wood, etc. online to make it.

This is my first time using these tools, and to be honest, I’m quite unsure. But since I’ve decided to make my own COS costumes in the future, I must take this step.

And this also ties into the pie I painted for you earlier.

I think some people still remember what I said before, that I was going to make costumes for Jiang Shi and Jiang Youyou, and then draw lots to give them away for free.

In fact, a lottery group has been set up today. So far, 25 people have joined the group, and the methods of joining the group have been announced.

For some reasons I really can’t send out the group ID, so if you want to know, just ask in the comment section.

Or you can join the Tomato fan group and let someone else post the way to join the group.

The clothing samples of Youyou and Jiang Shi should be released in the next few days.

The sample production will be done after the comic exhibition in October.

Because I have to make triangle heads during this period, and when the comic convention ends in October, it should be estimated that all of these will be gone by May next year.

Because there are no long holidays in between, during the winter vacation, everyone should go home to celebrate the New Year. If we go home to celebrate the New Year, the comic convention may not be able to be held.

So it is expected that after attending the comic convention in October, there will be no activities to participate in until May of next year, so I can concentrate on making clothes.

Then we will start making it after October. If the sample clothes of Youyou and Jiangshi can be made, the photos of the sample clothes will be updated to the lottery group simultaneously.

After the sample photos come out, a lottery will be set up. The winners will receive them for free. If you don’t win, I will charge you at cost price if you want them.
