Chapter 1048 Sending Mother and Sister to Survive the Crisis (Part )
Before I knew it, time passed slowly and in the blink of an eye it was nine o'clock in the evening.
The host and the guests were all happy. When Weilin was about to leave, Balmur's mother, Miriam, made herself smile more naturally and asked softly: "Lord Weilin, I wonder if I can talk to you alone about something."
Hearing this, Weilin knew that he was about to get to the point. He then turned to look at Bamur. Before he could speak, he heard the other party say, "Lord Weilin has a noble character. I admire him very much."
Seeing this, Weilin did not refuse and nodded in agreement.
He will not do anything to cause chaos.
After the party, Verin and Miriam came to a study.
Entering the room and looking around, I saw that some places where portraits were obviously hung had been removed. This must have happened recently.
"Lord Weilin, please take a seat."
Hearing Millian's words, Weilin nodded slightly and sat down on the soft leather sofa.
Looking at the dim lights around, a gleam of light flashed in his eyes.
A few minutes later, Millie, wearing revealing clothing, brought a set of wine utensils to the low table, opened a bottle of wine, filled a glass, and brought it to Weilin. She smiled and said, "Lord Weilin, this is the wine that my husband collected when he was alive. Please taste it."
The blood-red wine in the transparent wine glass exuded an alluring aroma, but unfortunately Weilin did not pick it up. Instead, he looked directly into Miriam's eyes and asked, "Mrs. Miriam, are you really willing to do this?"
Miriam did not change her tone at all despite the blunt words. She picked up the wine glass, took a sip of the wine, and said with a smile, "Lord Weilin, you asked me this question?"
"If I were an ordinary woman, my answer would be no."
"But I am Bamur's mother and the matron of the Hades family. I enjoy all kinds of courtesies and resources. When I am needed, no matter what the difficulties are, my answer is yes."
"Mrs. Millie, I admire your choice." Weilin said with a smile.
Miriam asked in a gentle tone, "Lord Weilin, when do you need us to start? Now, or wait a little longer?"
“There are some things I won’t do.”
After saying this, Weilin stood up, walked to the window, pulled down the curtain, and covered Millie with it.
"I have my own code of conduct. Tomorrow morning, you can ask Bamur to come to me."
"Take a good rest, I'm leaving first."
Hearing the sound of the door closing, Millie fell silent, looked down at her chest, and was silent for a long time. She wrapped herself in the curtain, came to the desk, and lay down on the desk to rest.
Leaving the study, Weilin walked towards his residence.
Looking up at the bright moon in the sky, Weilin smiled helplessly.
It is impossible not to be moved, but he is not a person without bottom line. There are some things that he cannot do.
"If it weren't for that damn snake demon, I think I would have been home by now."
I wonder if Xuemiya is asleep now, reading a book in the room or enjoying the bright moon with me?
After stopping for a moment, Weilin quickened his pace.
After pushing the door open and sensing something, Weilin discovered that there were two more people on the bed.
Using the light spell to illuminate the room, Weilin came to the bedside and said jokingly, "If you don't come out, I'll leave."
Hearing this, the two black-haired girls hiding under the quilt stuck their heads out of the quilt, and saw Weilin's figure with rosy faces.
Sitting down by the window, Weilin reached out and touched the head of one of the black-haired girls, and asked with a smile, "You are my sister Heidi, right?"
The black-haired girl shrank her head and whispered, "Lord Weilin, I am Nora."
Upon hearing this, Weilin laughed and said, "Hahaha, sorry, you two look so much alike, I didn't recognize you."
"It's alright, Lord Verin."
"Nora, did your brother ask you to come here?"
Hearing the question, the black-haired girl nodded, her face slightly red, and whispered, "Yes, Lord Weilin."
"Then do you hate your brother?"
"No," Heidi answered without hesitation, "Before you came, when the last shelter in Whispering Wind Valley was about to fall, my brother asked Uncle Garrick to send us, mother, and Robbins to the secret room."
"I don't hate him either." Feeling the touch from Weilin's palm, Nora whispered, "Brother loves us very much. I'm very happy to be able to help him."
"How about we play a game?"
Hearing this, the two black-haired girls showed puzzled expressions on their faces.
Seeing this, Weilin did not keep the secret and took out the chessboard and chess pieces from his space ring. He said, "The deadline is dawn. If you win more times than me, I will promise to help your brother once. If you win less times than me."
"Lord Weilin, what will happen then?" Heidi asked impatiently.
Seeing this, Nora was no longer shy and looked up at Weilin, hoping to get an answer.
"Hahaha, I'll tell you when the time comes, but before we start, you need to put on your clothes."
Seeing this, the two of them huddled under the quilt and began to put on their clothes.
After a while, the two girls removed the quilts from their bodies, looked at Weilin with hope in their eyes, and waited for the game to begin.
Without letting the two wait for long, Weilin pulled over a chair and sat beside the bed. After waving his hand and setting up the chessboard, he said, "You go first."
Nora glanced at Heidi and moved aside, letting her sister take the lead while she acted as a support.
As time passed, in one chess game after another, it was interesting to appreciate the two black-haired girls' decadence when they lost and their joy when they won.
Although he was slightly inferior to Kyle and his uncle in chess, he felt at ease playing against the two girls.
After an unknown amount of time, the first ray of morning sunlight shone into the room through the window.
Beside the bed, two black-haired girls stared at the chess game on the board, thinking hard.
Weilin sat aside, biting a piece of fruit, not urging them, and waited patiently for their next move.
Under his control, there were 39 games, 13 wins, 13 losses, and the remaining 13 games were draws.
"Sister, how about going down here?"
"Why not stay here?"
The two talked in low voices, but no matter which way they went, they felt they were stuck in a dead end.
Ten minutes later, Weilin placed a chess piece and won the game.
"I won."
Hearing this, Heidi couldn't stop her tears from flowing.
"Sister, we lost."
Seeing this, Nora hid her sadness in her heart, hugged her sister, and comforted her softly.
Watching the two girls' actions, Weilin supported his chin with his hands and watched quietly.
