HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 860 The Heart of Protection

The quick-reacting Death Eater stepped back abruptly, looking between Voldemort and Bella with a look of doubt and suspicion. He couldn't help but raise his wand and point it at Voldemort, who was laughing more and more happily.

Those who were slow to react and didn't run over to the aggressive Bella were mostly forced to withstand the spell and have their blood cruelly sucked dry by her.

In their last look before death, almost all of them looked towards their masters, with resentment, relief, and fear in their eyes.

Voldemort didn't care about their offense before his death. He twirled his wand in a good mood and took the initiative to step forward to greet Bella.

The black water sensed Voldemort's breath and rushed back frantically, hovering between Voldemort and Bella.

Bella's cloudy eyes were lifeless, but she found Voldemort accurately, as if she saw something she liked. Her throat made a "ho ho" sound like a bellows, and her pale hand grabbed Voldemort's wrist, pulled it up, and bit it.

Voldemort narrowed his snake eyes and a cold light flashed across them, but he did not resist. Instead, he raised his hand to make it easier for Bella to suck. At the same time, he raised his free hand and touched Bella's face, stroking it gently.

"Good boy, eat, and when you are full, go and complete your task."

The strange light in Bella's eyes became brighter, and she sucked Voldemort's blood madly.

Blood flowed down the corner of her lips.

Pale lips, bright red blood, darkness gradually spreading from her feet, and soon she was completely wrapped in black water.

From a distance, she looked like prey being devoured by a python.

As time goes by, they gradually die.

This bizarre and bloody scene was hard to accept even for a wizard like Herbo who loved to fiddle with corpses, let alone white wizards like Rowena and Ases.

Rowena was the first to react.

She turned her head away from Voldemort and Bella, but her stomach was still churning and yelling at her to rebel.

There was no way. She had a sensitive nose and could smell the rotten and fishy smell on Bella's body. The two smells mixed together and rushed into her nasal cavity, almost killing her.

Aces was slightly better than Rowena, his sight was only slightly off.

He would occasionally take on missions from his family, or secretly assist the military in carrying out missions. He had seen countless dead people and smelled countless stinky odors, but he had mysophobia, and even though he had overcome it, he still didn't like to see dirty things in front of him.

Unfortunately, Voldemort and Bella are now the dirtiest of the dirty things. Just looking at them makes Aces feel that he needs to go back and take two showers, not to mention breathing the same air with these two dirty things in the same place.

"Look at how pale you two are. I'm warning you, don't spit it out! I can accept them sucking blood here, but I can't accept someone vomiting in front of me."

Hailbo's face also turned pale, and he stared at Ases and Rowena vigilantly.

Ases raised his hand and loosened the top button of his collar. A silver-white light condensed on his fingertips, and he artificially created an air purifier on his collar. After he was done, the light on his fingers did not go out, and he shook it to signal the other two.

"Do you need help?"

Rowena and Helbo both accepted Athis's help.

The magic of the two of them is not suitable for one and the other can't do it. If they don't accept it, they can only rely on their noses to resist. Anyone with a brain knows what to choose.

Ases didn't stay to waste time.

He could see that Herpo was very interested in these unknown creatures, and Rowena was the founder of Hogwarts. If Voldemort used Bella and the others to attack Hogwarts, neither of them would stand idly by. In that case, there was no point for him to stay.

"I'm going to go back and check on the manor. I'll leave this to you."

After informing the two, Ases returned to Cavendish Manor in the most labor-saving way.

He had been gone for more than an hour, and the manor remained in its original state - the black panther was running around in the garden, entertaining himself, and from time to time he would secretly damage the expensive flowers, being scolded by the gardener, and chasing him all the way, never getting tired of it.

The ravens and other people passing by would stop to watch the show. Those with tasks would take a look and then leave, while those without tasks would cheer loudly, asking the Black Panther and the Gardener to fight it out.

They were all wearing combat uniforms that were convenient for movement, with sweat dripping down their foreheads and hair. It was obvious that they had just come out of the training ground to have some fun during their halftime break.

When the butler Joel passed by, he would try to stop someone symbolically, but if he failed, he would just give up and continue to rush around doing his work.

Compared to the busy housekeeper, Susanna, who likes to skip work, is particularly free. She simply puts a table in the garden and starts business!

This kind of activity is very popular among the big men who have been out in life and death all year round and have experienced the thrill of being on the verge of death. They wave their hands and call their friends to place bets.

They didn't like betting on Galleons, so someone suggested betting on smelly socks for the next month. Susanna, who wanted to make some Galleons, was so angry that she dragged the first guy who suggested betting on socks into the training ground to fight a decisive battle.

With two good shows to watch at once, the manor became even more lively, with cheers, boos and sighs coming one after another.

Above their heads, on the balcony of the main building, a couple sat opposite each other, chatting and drinking tea while watching the farce below.

Occasionally, he would use magic spells to secretly cheat the black panther and cover up its nasty claws, but he would not go too far, after all, the gardener was just an ordinary person.

As for the two people who entered the training ground, they couldn't see them and didn't intend to care about them. Everyone knew their limits and wouldn't make too much noise.

So most of the time they would chat, talk about their grown-up son, the current situation, their unborn child, family, life, and work. In short, as long as they were together, they would have something to talk about.

No one doesn't like a stable life, and Ases is no exception.

He stood at the gate of the manor, looking at the chaotic yet warm scene in front of him, raised his lips slightly, and said silently: "I will protect all of this."

As the sun sets, the bright yet resolute afterglow lights up the deep black eyes.

The brightness therein is unforgettable.

When the news of the werewolf attack came, Joel was so busy that when he saw Ases in the hall, he didn't notice that there was a person sitting there. It was Ases who called him.

"Grandpa Joel."

Joel slammed on the brakes, followed the sound and saw Ases. His face twitched and he inexplicably had a premonition of death from overwork.

"Master, please don't tell me that you saw something outside that required a large number of people to solve or that we might need to clean up."

Aces admired Joel's ability to predict the future, "Grandpa Joel, how did you know that I saw Voldemort make the Inferi into even stranger creatures, and they killed people."

Joel was silent for two seconds, then he gathered himself together and said, "Okay, Master, what do you need an old man like me to do? Just tell me."

He was tired and didn't want to beat around the bush.

Ases organized his thoughts and slowly explained his plan.

Joel was trying to do two things at once: one was thinking about how to carry out Ases's instructions, and the other was figuring out who should do it.

Asseth explained almost everything that could be explained, even down to the details after the war.

Neither of them was stupid, especially Joel. He had lived for so many years and had experienced so many things. Even a pig could tell that there was no mention of his own arrangements in Ases' words, and there must be something going on.

The old butler touched his overly worrying heart and thought calmly: Good, thanks to Merlin, it's still beating, which means he can still worry about his troublesome young master.

"Master, excuse me, what about you?"

Ases was stunned for a moment. His face turned slightly pale due to his physical weakness and the powerful source of magic that he sensed was gradually approaching. At first glance, he thought it was because of Joel's words.

Joel's doubts deepened, and he pretended that he would not work unless Ases said something. "Master, I have the right to know."

Ases thought for a moment, and seeing that Joel would not give up until he got an answer, he revealed some of the inside story.

"Two people are approaching who will disrupt the balance. They should be hostile. I will go to contact them. I'm afraid I can only leave this to you, Grandpa Joel."

Joel's expression remained unchanged. "They are more powerful than Voldemort?"

"Ten Voldemorts combined can't beat one of them." Athis said with a headache.

One of these two sources of magic power is very familiar to him. He has seen him before. He is the mysterious man who destroyed the ground network node alone. He also has a guess about the other person. It is very likely that he is the person who is a friend of Merlin as mentioned by Rowena. He can't beat any of them, let alone them combined. Now he can only act according to circumstances.

Speaking of which, he had just tested Rowena, but Rowena didn't even notice the approaching source of magic power.

Ases knew his own limitations. If he fought with Rowena, he was confident that he would not lose, but he would not win either. He had discovered the source of magic that Rowena had not even discovered, so it was hard for him not to suspect a conspiracy.
