HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 68 I want a younger brother

Narcissa glanced at her silly son and did not reply. Instead, she nodded towards Asseth with her hands hanging down.

"Good day, Mr. Cavendish."

Noticing Narcissa's movements, Artes took a step forward, reached out and gently lifted Narcissa's fingertips, lowered his head and kissed her.

Narcissa lowered her head and looked at the child holding her fingertips.

The heir to the Cavendish family is well-controlled, observant, and has good manners.

Maybe Lucius was right, this was an excellent heir.

For Xiaolong's sake, the Malfoys should probably befriend this kid.

Draco on the side watched the interaction between the two with wide eyes.

From time to time, when Narcissa wasn't looking at him, she would look at Asesby wildly.

Aces finished his salute, took a step back, ignored Draco's look for help, and planned to leave.

Narcissa once again thought of what Lucius had said before, and looked at her son's innocent look on his face, so she chose to try to persuade him to stay.

"The first time Mr. Cavendish came to Malfoy Manor, we didn't greet him well."

"I wonder if it would be an honor to invite Mr. Cavendish in for a sip of tea?"

"Besides, Draco seems to be looking forward to your stay."

Narcissa's words were impeccable, and she even pushed Draco out.

Draco nodded seriously, saying that he really looked forward to Asses staying.

Assei's eyebrows were lowered, his lips curled up in a smile, polite yet distant.

"It's rude of me to come uninvited. How could it be that Mrs. Malfoy didn't treat her well?"

"I won't disturb Mrs. Malfoy today. I will make an appointment in advance to come and see Draco tomorrow."

After saying that, Artes caressed his chest gracefully, nodded, and turned to leave when Narcissa didn't refuse.

Draco watched eagerly as Ass's leaving figure did not dare to look back.

"Draco, I think you need to explain to me why you were not at home but were sent back from outside."

There was no anger in Narcissa's tone, as if she was simply curious, but Draco trembled when he heard it.

"I...I just want to go out and take a look."

The sound became smaller and smaller, until it was almost impossible to hear what was being said behind.

Narcissa knelt down and looked at Draco.

"If you want to go out, you can tell me or dad. If you can't run out by yourself, we will worry."

Seeing Narcissa's worried face, Draco quickly hugged her and promised that he would never sneak out next time.

Looking at the soft Draco, Narcissa couldn't help but reach out and rub Draco's head.

Narcissa was a little unsure. Is it really good for Draco that they were protecting him like this?

She didn't think so before, but now after seeing the Cavendish children, she hesitated.

If Draco stood on the opposite side of that child, Draco would be betrayed by just one face-to-face encounter, and he might not even know it yet.

Draco didn't know his mother's worries, but when he saw that his mother seemed to be relieved, he smiled at Narcissa.

Silly son.

Looking at Draco who was still grinning at her, Narcissa couldn't help but pull up his hair again.

Draco obeyed his mother's actions obediently. Seeing Draco like this, Narcissa couldn't bear to let him go.

Forget it, let's discuss it with Lucius tonight.

Narcissa sighed, stood up, took Draco's hand, and the two of them walked home.

After all, Draco is still protected by them.

Arthur's body relaxed slightly after leaving Malfoy Manor.

Touching the wand in his hand, he recalled Narcissa's soft and harmless words, and was amazed.

The Malfoy family, except Draco, are all human beings.

But are their protection of Draco a bit too much?

Aces came to a conclusion recalling Draco's character.

Thinking of the naive Draco, Aces wanted a younger brother and sister again.

On the way back, he couldn't help but think about this matter.

So after returning home, my first reaction when I saw Anna was that I couldn't help but ask.

Afraid that Anna would be embarrassed, he deliberately asked from the side tactfully.

"Mom, is there a possibility that I can have a younger brother or younger sister."

Anna opened her eyes wide and looked at Asseth in front of her with curiosity and shock.

"What do you want your brothers and sisters to do?"

Um? do what? Aces was even more shocked than she was.

"What do I want my younger siblings to do? What can't they do?"

Anna was a little embarrassed when she realized that she had asked a question.

"I mean, why do you suddenly want a younger sibling?"

Aces recalled a certain platinum dumpling, and spoke with some unfinished meaning.

"That Malfoy kid is very funny."

Anna instantly understood that other people's children shouldn't go too far, so she wanted to have her own younger siblings to ravage them, right?

It turned out to be her child, who had exactly the same idea as her.

Looking at her serious son, Anna suddenly felt that maybe it would be good to have another silly child.

Aces isn't very fun after all.

After all, it would be fun to have a younger sibling.

Mother and son met their eyes and reached an agreement.

At the table in the evening, several people ate elegantly in silence.

Artes suddenly remembered that he was going to Malfoy's house.

He looked at Carter and Elise, should he take these two with him?

After the meal, Asses came to the Duke's study again.

The Duke suddenly felt as if he was facing a powerful enemy, and his body that had been leaning on the office chair straightened up.

"Aces? Why are you here again? Don't ask about the professor, I won't tell you."

"Contacting him will do you no good."

"At least it won't do any good now, his eyes are too scary."

Aces stood opposite the Duke, watching in surprise as the Duke blew himself up.

A male professor? Eye?

Aces silently eliminated candidates in his mind.

He didn't speak slowly until the Duke wanted to drive him out.

"Dad, it's not this, you don't have to worry."

Hearing this, the Duke breathed a sigh of relief, stopped trying to drive Asseth out, and relaxed back in his office chair.

Aces got straight to the point and told the Duke what happened today.

The Duke quickly grasped the point.

"It seems that the Malfoy family wants to win over our family."

He looked up at Asseth, a child that made him proud.

"What do you want to do, Asseth."

"We all support you."

Aces shook his head and said a little indifferently.

"I have no idea about the Malfoy family. I went to Hogwarts just to complete the deal with Grindelwald."

"What's more, they are still Death Eaters. If I confront Voldemort then, they will not end up well if they get too close to me."

Hearing this, the Duke said meaningfully.

"The Malfoy family can be said to be a family that lives on the outside."

"Besides, their family's mission is to put family first."

"If I remember correctly, their child and the savior should have entered Hogwarts in the same year."
