HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 675: Saving people in dangerous situations

"Wait, why can this thing run?!" Grindelwald waved his wand, casting spells while stepping back, "Only because it borrowed two thin legs from who knows which animal?"

Dumbledore was also throwing spells.

However, Grindelwald was in front, sharing most of the pressure. He was more trying to see which type of spell was more effective on this "creature".

All the spells they knew were tried, and the two of them retreated to a corner as the shadows approached.

"Al? How much longer do you need?"

Grindelwald's arms were waving with some difficulty. He hadn't experienced such intense magic output for a long time, and now that he was outputting it for the first time, he felt a little tired.

"Okay, if the guardian angel can stop it, we'll leave when we find the right moment to blow up the wall."

Dumbledore was in a much better situation than Grindelwald. In addition to blocking the shadows, he also had the energy to cast a few armor spells to prevent the damage from the explosion.

As if knowing Dumbledore's intention, the shadow rushed up during Grindelwald's pause. The nearest Grindelwald's pupils suddenly dilated, and everything in his eyes slowed down.

At this moment, an invisible spell flew out of the air and hit the shadow.

One of the shadow's legs split directly in the middle, and blood as black as ink spots splashed everywhere, falling to the ground and turning back into an unconscious shadow.

The shadow also lost a leg and fell to the ground, bouncing a few times.

"Now, let's go!"

A familiar voice came from another corner of the room. Without saying a word, Dumbledore pulled Grindelwald, who still wanted to regain his face, over.

Seeing the heavily armed man in the shadows, Dumbledore frowned worriedly, "Severus, we're not sure if he's still around here."

"He's not in now."

Snape turned around and led the way. Like Voldemort, the path he took was full of twists and turns, but he had a map in his hand and would stop to check it after walking for a while.

After walking for a while, Grindelwald, who recovered, began to look around and saw the ancient-looking parchment in Snape's hand. He winked at Dumbledore and pointed at himself quietly.

Look at me.

Then he naturally quickened his pace.

"Why do you have a map?"

Seeing Grindelwald's natural behavior, Dumbledore was so shocked that he almost bit his own tongue. Those who asked this question thought Severus was familiar with him.

Snape didn't even raise his head, "I asked someone for it. Voldemort bought it here."

"Oh." Grindelwald looked back at Dumbledore and continued to ask, "Who do you want it from?"

Snape was not that patient with Grindelwald. He glanced at him sideways and said impatiently: "Use your brain to see who can get the map."

As he spoke, Snape saw the moonlight coming from outside, immediately left Grindelwald behind and walked over quickly.

The moonlight shone through a broken door. He reached out to push it open, keeping his wand alert at all times. When the moonlight outside really fell on him, his tense nerves finally relaxed.

"Come on, we're here."

Grindelwald, who had hit a nail, was pulled out by Dumbledore with a dark face. Breathing the fresh air that was completely different from inside, they looked at Snape shrouded in moonlight.

Dumbledore was worried that Grindelwald wouldn't speak well, so he walked over and asked what happened this time: "Has he been planning to bring us here?"

"Yes." Snape put away the map and looked at Dumbledore, "No one among the Death Eaters knows that Voldemort bought this place, and no one knows what Voldemort is doing here. As for how do I know..."

He paused and didn't seem to want to continue talking.

"Butler Joel of Cavendish Manor wrote to me and told me to pay attention to Voldemort. Recently, someone discovered that Voldemort brought blood here."

"Blood?" Grindelwald, who didn't know when he came over, had a solemn look on his face. "Is that thing just now a creature he created artificially with blood?"

Snape looked around and saw a few people quietly appearing in the shadows, and said calmly: "Yes."

Dumbledore and Grindelwald also saw those people, but the clothes on those people had the Cavendish family emblem, so they were relatively calm.

A smell of blood suddenly drifted over.

"Let's go back first." Dumbledore looked at the old house following the smell of blood and warned, "This is not the place to talk."

"Okay." Grindelwald was the first to answer.

Snape didn't bother to argue with him about this, and just nodded without saying anything.

The group returned to the headmaster's office at Hogwarts.

In their own territory, they were no longer as tense as before. Dumbledore first gave Snape a cup of black tea, then returned to his desk to wake up Phoenix Fawkes and let him go to the old house to check on the situation.

Phoenix has the ability to teleport, so as long as there are no accidents, it will not be in danger.

After instructing the Phoenix, Dumbledore sat back on the sofa and talked face to face with Snape.

Grindelwald was not interested in their conversation. He stood by the window and looked in the direction just now, his brows furrowed. He knew that the biggest cause of Dumbledore's death in the original prophecy was the curse left by Voldemort.

Now that a similar but more powerful curse appeared, he had no way not to worry about Dumbledore's safety.

"Gail."

While he was lost in thought, Grindelwald heard Dumbledore's voice. He adjusted his expression, turned around and walked over, "What's wrong?"

Dumbledore pushed up his glasses, keeping his eyes on Snape's wand, "Can you see the difference between Severus's magic and ours?"

Grindelwald also looked over, thoughtfully, "That strange black shadow is basically immune to our spells. Even the Life Curse can only temporarily trip it for a few seconds, but his spell actually …”

"Actually, I've also tried the 'Shen Feng Wu Ying', and it didn't have the same effect as Severus."

Dumbledore picked up Grindelwald's words.

Snape didn't like being stared at, so he frowned and sneered coldly: "Have you seen enough?"

Dumbledore shook his head honestly.

Snape's expression became more and more ugly, "I don't think there is anything special about me. Maybe you are too old and your eyes are dim and you used the wrong spell?"

Age and age are like a sharp knife piercing the hearts of the two people opposite.

Grindelwald said angrily: "I'm just too old to be blind, and I won't misplace my wand!"

Snape raised an eyebrow, not believing him.

Grindelwald's heart was a little choked. Snape was a creditor who couldn't be beaten, scolded, and had a foul mouth, and it was easy for people to lose control of themselves. Now if it were someone else, he would immediately overturn the table. How could he be so aggrieved?

Dumbledore was used to Snape's way of speaking and was not as angry as Grindelwald. "Severus, can you use a spell to make me observe?"

Snape waved his wand and cast a simple healing spell on Dumbledore.

There is no special feeling.

Dumbledore felt it and came to a conclusion.

Snape then waved his wand and used all the spells that could be used on people one by one on Dumbledore, letting him feel them all at once and have nothing to say.
