HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 521 Portrait Storage Room

When Asseth woke up, his brain, which should have been refreshed after a rest, was baptized by all kinds of messy dreams, making him groggy and exuding tiredness.

The dim light in the bedroom made it difficult to tell whether it was day or night, and dreams and reality were intertwined. After a while, he slowly stretched out his hand, but found nothing.

There was no Potions Master on the other side of the bed.

He sat up, and his groggy brain clearly guessed Snape's whereabouts, and he couldn't help but feel depressed.

Erin Prince.

The woman who once looked forward to the birth of a child, but in the end gave up her own child and chose love.

When he went to see Irene, she still retained Prince's arrogance in the portrait. She was gloomy but not rude. She seemed to be quite sober, but he just didn't know how she could be reduced to this in reality.

There was really no way to understand Eileen's brain circuit, and the person who was abandoned was Snape, which made Artes feel even more irritable. His brain also throbbed with pain, and the nightmares he had seen countless times resurfaced.

The blood suddenly appeared in the black eyes, and was suppressed forcefully, leaving a trace of clarity.

Aces took a long breath and calmed down.

"Nina."

Nina popped up in the bedroom, holding a cup of warm cocoa.

"Master Assis! Nina is here, do you need Nina to do anything? Nina can do anything."

After Nina finished speaking, she handed over the cocoa in her hand and stared at Asseth with her big eyes.

"Master, drink some water."

Asseth didn't caress her kindly, took the cocoa, took a sip, and asked, "Do you know where Sif is?"

"Professor Snape is in the portrait storage room."

Seeing Ases drinking cocoa, Nina answered his question with a smile on her face.

Sure enough it was there.

Aces felt a little more worried.

"Nina, please pay attention to Draco. He can do whatever he wants when he wakes up, but don't let him come to the floor of the portrait storage room."

Returning the cup that she had unknowingly emptied to Nina, Asseth stood up to change his clothes.

After getting the clothes, he paused, compared the slim, soft, slightly messy nightgown with the clothes in his hands, decisively gave up changing, and left the bedroom.

In the portrait storage room on the other side, the atmosphere seemed a bit strange after a long period of silence.

Snape's Adam's apple rolled, and he tried his best to calm down the turbulent emotions. He looked at Eileen calmly and said the first relatively formal words since they met.

"My name is Severus Snape."

As the first sentence to introduce myself after meeting my mother’s portrait, this sentence is really ordinary.

Perhaps he should introduce him in a more high-profile manner as the youngest Potions Master and Dean of Hogwarts, and even how far he had followed Voldemort.

Slap Erin in the face with this tangible, indisputable evidence.

Tell her that the son she gave birth to is trying her best to escape from the wizarding world, and she wants to stay there at all costs.

Tell her that even without her and without Prince, he can live well alone and does not need a mother who is no different from air.

Or tell Eileen everything he has been through over the years and see if she will regret marrying a Muggle and giving birth to him.

The grievances and unwillingness to promote resentment surrounded his heart, constantly tempting Snape to stab the portrait in front of him, which had the same appearance as his mother.

But he never spoke again.

Being able to deal with both Voldemort and Dumbledore easily relies on a calm and rational brain.

Erin is Erin and a mother is a mother.

He won't be able to tell the difference between the two.

"Severus Snape? Snape? Not a member of the Prince family?" Irene in the portrait muttered to herself as she covered her mouth to hide her surprise.

"Indeed not." Snape sneered.

In his first thirty years, the name Prince appeared only in books. In other words, he had no feelings for Prince, and naturally he never regarded himself as a member of Prince.

He came here just because of Asseth.

Erin's expression quickly became cold.

"If not, then why did you show up at Prince Manor? If you are a guest, this is not the place where you should be. Please leave."

"Please ask me to leave?"

Snape repeated these four words with a sneer, and the last bit of green symbolizing maternal love disappeared from his desolate heart.

"Perhaps I should tell you a relatively cruel fact for you - unfortunately, this is no longer Prince Manor. If I want, it can even be changed to Snape Manor."

"It's a pity...I don't like this last name either."

He said these words with great malice, wanting to see Irene's stunned look of panic.

But the Eileen in the portrait is not the Eileen after meeting Tobias, and she cannot understand Snape's meaning.

Irene was stunned for a moment, then asked in a surprised and expectant tone: "What do you mean it's not the Prince Manor? What's wrong with Snape?"

The difference between Eileen Prince and Eileen Snape was once again clearly displayed in front of Snape.

He suddenly lost interest.

Maybe coming to see Irene was a mistake. The portrait, even if someone had artificially injected it, is just a clumsy and ridiculous fake.

Snape took two steps back, the red cloth in his hand swaying with his movements.

"Since you-"

There was a sudden sound of opening the door, interrupting Snape before he could finish his words.

He frowned and looked over, and saw Asseth in a messy nightgown, who seemed to be running over in a hurry.

"Aces? How did you..."

As soon as he finished speaking, Snape was hugged by Artes who walked over quickly.

Aces walked very fast, only slowing down at the end. Under the impact of inertia, Snape staggered back a few steps, barely stopping in front of the portrait.

"I had a nightmare, and I didn't see you."

Taking advantage of the fact that Snape couldn't see his expression, Artes raised his eyes coldly and glanced at Erin, but his voice was full of loss and nostalgia.

Snape raised his hands, trying to push Artes away who was obviously in a bad mood to see what was going on, but he was afraid that this action would irritate him, so he could only let him hold him.

"Didn't you take any medicine?"

Hearing this, Asseth felt a little guilty and didn't bother to warn Irene with his eyes, and quickly thought about how to explain.

"The medicine...stopped."

After receiving an unexpected answer, Snape pushed Artes away suddenly, his gaze swept across the red eyes, his heart tightened, and his tone unconsciously became questioning.

"Why? When did it start?"

Aces considered his answer.

"It probably started when I went on a mission. You know, medicine has side effects. Drowsiness, fatigue, abnormal coordination, and tremors will all affect judgment and energy. I can't make any mistakes in that situation."

"Later... my father and mother came over. I couldn't hide the abnormalities at all, so I could only continue to stop taking the medicine."

This is also the reason why he runs to Spider End Alley every chance he gets, even stays in Spider End Alley, and rarely goes back to Cavendish Manor.

He really wanted to accompany the Potions Master, but he really wasn't sure about hiding it from his closest family members.

Especially Anna.
