HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 46 Underground Auction (Part )

The secret passage was colder and colder than outside, which made Aces feel like he was in a cellar.

He had to take out his wand and cast a warming spell on himself before continuing to move forward.

The exit of the secret passage was in the candy store. At the exit of the secret passage, Artes cast a disillusionment spell on himself and then walked out carefully.

There were not many customers in the store, which made Assis very relaxed as he carefully moved through the crowd. At least he didn't have to worry too much about being discovered by others.

After leaving the candy store, Artes avoided the crowd and called to the house elf in a low voice:

"Nina."

The house elf Nina soon appeared next to Arthas.

"Master Asseth, what do you need me to do?"

Nina, the house elf, asked with eyes shining.

She felt that today was her lucky day. She could be summoned by her young master twice in one day!

"Nina, send me to Diagon Alley." Artes said gently.

He had to first check the teleportation point he had arranged earlier.

The elf obediently took Ass's hand.

In the blink of an eye, they appeared in Diagon Alley.

Asseth walked towards the place where he set up the teleportation point, and Nina followed him step by step.

Asses didn't let Nina leave because she would still need her help later.

Arriving at the location where the teleportation point was arranged, Asseth first confirmed the existence of the mark. This mark would be the key to his teleportation.

After confirming the existence of the mark, Asseth turned to look at Nina solemnly.

"Nina, I have a task for you."

Nina was very happy, Master Asseth needed her.

Nina hurriedly patted her chest and promised that she would definitely complete Ass's mission.

"I need you to guard this place secretly after you send me away and not let anyone destroy this place."

Asseth's tone was very cautious, and Nina quickly nodded seriously.

After seeing Nina nodding, Asseth took out the age-increasing potion and drank it. After the potion took effect, he put on the prepared robe.

Then he took out an invitation letter, handed it to Nina, and said to her:

"Nina, send me to this area and then come back."

Then, Asseth raised his hand and placed a powerful confusion spell on Nina to prevent her from being noticed.

The location of the underground auction is enchanted and can only be obtained by holding an invitation.

Nina took the invitation, raised her hand, snapped her fingers, and led Ass to the location of the underground auction.

It was clearly daytime now, but the place where the underground auction house was located seemed particularly dark and depressing.

Black clouds rolled in, everything was silent, and the criss-crossing alleys were deserted. A tall dead tree stood at the entrance of the alley, and next to it was a simple and short house.

Aces knew that this was the entrance to the underground auction.

Unlike ordinary auctions held in splendid auction houses, this underground auction was held in the basement of a simple house.

Aces came once with the Duke when he was a child.

After Anna found out about it, he was banned from going to such places again, and the Duke couldn't enter his bedroom for a week.

Thinking of the past, Asses relaxed a little. He waved his hand to signal Nina to go back, and then he walked steadily towards the dark and narrow room.

Standing at the door of the simple and short house was a man also wearing a robe to hide his face.

His stature was stooped, and his eyes were as cold as a snake's as he looked at Artes. His sticky eyes were wrapped around Artes, which made people feel uncomfortable.

But Asseth walked up to him without changing his steps and looking as usual, and naturally handed over the invitation letter in his hand.

Seeing Ases' familiar gesture, the man in black withdrew his disgusting gaze and stretched out his bony hand to take the invitation.

This time Asseth did not use his own invitation letter, but the invitation letter sent by Grindelwald.

It is not convenient for him to appear at the underground auction openly.

After the man took the invitation, he took out his magic wand and tapped it on the invitation. It wasn't until a sign on the invitation slowly lit up that he laughed hoarsely.

"Welcome, Mr. Ken."

After that, he slowly turned sideways and let Ass enter the hut.

Aces stepped up and walked towards the deep and dark door.

When passing by the man in black, Asseth suddenly felt a cold feeling coming towards him.

He kept walking, calmly raised the second-hand wand he had used to practice spells at home, waved it gently, and bounced back the incoming spell.

Seeing this, the man in black sneered without any guilt:

"Mr. Ken may not know this when he comes here for the first time. Our auction needs to test the strength of the guests."

"I hope Mr. Ken doesn't mind."

Asseth turned around and glanced at him indifferently, saying nothing.

Of course he knew there was no such process when entering an underground auction.

There is a high probability that this person wants to test his strength and see if he can get any benefits from him.

Although he knew it, Asses did not fall out because it was also an unspoken rule.

If you have no strength in this kind of underground auction house, you will only be swallowed up completely.

Asseth turned around with a cold face and continued walking down.

The man in black did not attack again. He watched Artes leave coldly and licked his lips unwillingly.

With his ability to see people over the years, he could naturally tell that Asses was a big fish.

But unfortunately, this is not a simple role, the people in black all thought with regret.

Aces walked in the darkness for a while before he saw the stairs leading into the basement. He walked down without hesitation.

The stairs leading into the basement were cast under a traceless stretching spell, making them ridiculously long.

Aces walked for more than ten minutes before he saw the door to the auction.

At the door, as soon as two scantily clad women saw Asseth's figure, they opened the quaint door respectfully and flatteringly, and tried to lean towards Asseth.

Aces sidestepped away, ignored him, and walked in directly.

The scene inside the door is in huge contrast to the simple exterior.

The huge, brightly lit auction stage, the exquisite boxes and the people mingling with each other formed a false and gorgeous scene.

As soon as Asseth came in, a handsome boy waiter with a low eyebrow came up to him.

He took the invitation from Artes, and after seeing the number clearly, his eyes flashed, and he raised his head obsequiously to guide Artes.

Aces knew what the boy was thinking. He shook his head indifferently and refused the boy's guidance.

The boy was unwilling but did not dare to refuse the guest's wishes, so he could only respectfully return the invitation letter to Asseth.

After receiving the invitation, Aces found his box - Box 3 - with ease.
