HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 226 The dungeon in the room

The three of them moved forward slowly in the dark passage.

Joel walked in the front, followed by Elise and Artes.

For safety reasons, the three of them kept a certain distance.

In the darkness, Asseth was keenly aware of the sights coming from all directions, and when he felt it carefully, countless magic powers surrounded them.

Aces was numb.

He didn't really want to know what was hidden in the darkness, so he chose to walk forward in the dark.

Joel also didn't use the magic spell. I don't know if he knew it and had the same idea as him.

Thinking of this, Asseth quietly looked at Joel's back in front of him.

Has Joel been here?

The passage is long and time passes slowly in the darkness.

Elise only felt that they had been gone for a long time.

She stepped on something halfway and stumbled forward.

Aces behind him heard the sound of the wind and subconsciously reached forward.

The second before she made contact with the ground, Elise was pulled back by Asseth.

Asseth politely helped Elise steady and made sure she was standing firmly before letting go.

He lowered his head and approached Elise.

"Be careful."

The voice was small, almost breathy.

Elise looked at Asseth blankly in the darkness, wondering why he spoke so quietly.

But he still imitated Asseth's actions and replied in a low voice: "I understand, sir."

After saying that, Elise felt that the atmosphere became strange for no reason.

Asses could tell her the answer to this question, because he sensed the magic around him approaching.

Asseth frowned, raised his hand and pulled Elise's sleeve and walked forward.

Elise was pulled and staggered again.

She barely kept up with Artes' pace and raised her hand to use the fluorescent spell, but was stopped by Joel who returned.

Elise didn't know why.

It was just that during this time she had developed a habit of obeying orders, and she put down her wand as soon as Joel said so.

Speaking of this habit, Asseth suspected that Joel might be a soldier because of some of his little habits and his emphasis on obeying orders.

"What's wrong?"

Elise asked confused.

Joel didn't answer, and he and Asseth pulled Elise forward.

A light spot gradually appeared in front of me.

Several people quickened their pace and ran into the light spot.

Suddenly their eyes opened up, and a gloomy dungeon appeared in front of several people.

The lights were still dim, but much brighter than before. What he could see were two rows of countless cells, most of which were empty and only a few of them held people.

The sound of footsteps disturbed the sweet dreams of the prisoners inside, and each of them turned their violent and crazy eyes towards the three of them.

Joel let go of Elise, walked to the left to block these views, and explained as he walked forward.

"Cavendish doesn't know what he's thinking. He raises a ghost bat in the passage into the dungeon. This is the first time I've seen someone raise this kind of magical creature that chases light and sound."

Elise repeated blankly.

"Ghost bat?"

"You mean, we were surrounded by these kind of bats just now?"

Her voice sounded broken.

Joel quickly gave Asseth a look, signaling him to go and coax him.

Asses refused his request coldly.

He just knew that Elise couldn't accept it, so he didn't tell the truth, but Joel told him all.

Asseth gave him a look in return: The wrongdoer has his own debtor, and it is you who should be coaxed!

Joel has never coaxed a little girl in all his years. Anna doesn't need his coaxing, she will just slap him when she gets angry.

Anna's mood passed as soon as the two of them started fighting.

So he really has no experience in this area.

After holding it in for a long time, Joel choked out a sentence that made Artes look at him.

"Don't worry, they didn't bite you, didn't they?"

Elise's face turned even paler, tears welling up in her eyes.

"They still bite?"

The hair on Elise's body stood up at the thought of countless pairs of greedy eyes looking at her in the darkness.

She can stay at the training ground for a day, but she can't accept these strange creatures coveting her!

Asseth looked at this old butler with special regard. He didn't expect anyone to coax him like this.

Joel's face was relatively calm, but the anxiety in his eyes made it clear that he was so anxious that smoke was almost coming out of his head.

Seeing that Asseth was still laughing at him, Joel quickly motioned for him to come on.

Aces spoke slowly.

"If you can't even accept this, then you don't have to sit in on today's class."

Joel glanced at Asseth with some contempt. He felt that Asseth was not as good as him.

He, a serious old man, still knew how to comfort him, but Asseth was purely a threat. It would be strange if the child was not frightened and cried.

The next second, Joel saw a scene that puzzled him.

As Aseth's words fell, Elise's tears were forcefully forced back, and her eyes were so red that they did not fall.

"I can accept that."

Aces returned Joel's look.

But it's useful, isn't it?

Joel couldn't argue with that.

During the brief exchange between several people, Joel led the two of them to the location of today's class.

A gloomy cell.

Inside, there were three paralyzed people who didn't know whether they were alive or dead.

Asseth knew they were alive because they were his targets today.

Joel opened the cell door and bound the three with a wave of his wand.

The three of them were tied together, their heads hanging limply.

Elise still doesn't understand why Joel brought them here.

Joel looked at Asseth, and a piece of parchment appeared in his hand.

"This is the crime of these three people. They used magic to harm dozens of Muggles, resulting in the death of five people, including a little wizard under the age of thirteen."

"Coincidentally, that little wizard was sponsored by the Cavendish family. After her death, your family sent people to find out the cause of death and capture these three people."

Joel briefly explained the situation of these three people and handed the parchment in his hand to Asseth.

Asseth took it and looked at it. What was written on it was almost the same as what Joel said, but there was one thing that Joel didn't say.

The methods of these three people were extremely cruel. Several people who died were subjected to the Cruciatus Curse before their death, and their final deaths were miserable.

Seeing Asseth reading the parchment, Joel asked him a question.

"How are you doing with your dark arts?"

Aces looked away from the parchment.

"good."

Joel knows what makes Ass's okay.

Aces's evaluation of his transformation, spells and magic power were all pretty good.

He then asked: "Where are the three unforgivable curses? Have you learned them?"

"I've learned it, but I've never used it on anyone."

The Duke and Anna were both from Durmstrang, so naturally they would not shy away from black magic, especially such a useful spell as the Death Curse.

Under their influence, Artes was also not shy about dark magic. If he hadn't been at Hogwarts, he might have been a master of dark magic.
