HP: Embrace the Darkness
Chapter 183 Split Horcrux
Asseth quickened his pace and returned to the dormitory, opening the alchemy box and calling out Nina.
"Nina!"
"Master Asseth, Nina is here."
"I'll go in. If I haven't come out after half an hour, you can come in and take me out."
Aces spoke quickly and urgently. When Nina nodded, he immediately opened the box and walked in.
Walking quickly through the stairs, everything suddenly became clear.
The neatly maintained medicine garden exudes the fragrance of herbs. The herbs stand tall and sway slightly in the wind as the owner walks by, looking full of vitality.
But now he was in no mood to pay attention to these. He strode into the small villa and without stopping, headed straight to the book display area on the second floor.
At the top of the stairs on the second floor, his eyes quickly slid across the rows of bookshelves, and finally landed on a square box.
Never moved?
Aces took out his wand and walked over quickly, looked at the locked box, raised the wand in his hand and tapped it, and the box opened instantly.
In the box, there was a yellowed diary lying quietly, and there seemed to be nothing unusual about it.
But there is no abnormality, which is the biggest abnormality.
The wand was raised again and clicked on the diary. The detection magic instantly enveloped the entire diary.
The test results came out quickly.
The sleeping soul inside was split into two, one part was still sleeping, and the other part had disappeared without a trace.
Asseth held the diary in his hand and smiled slowly, with a sarcastic smile.
It's soul-dividing again. It seems that living on your last breath has made you lose your mind, Tom.
He put down the diary with a smile, waved his wand, wrapped the diary tightly with a series of isolation spells, and then put it into the alchemy ring.
Since half of the soul escaped, it was impossible for him to let the remaining half escape again.
After identifying the Horcrux causing trouble outside, Asseth became even more solemn.
He frowned and leaned on the chair, thinking about how to catch the Horcrux that had escaped, and guessing how the Horcrux escaped. There were no signs of intrusion in the box. The only person who could get in was him. Snape, and...
"Master! Are you okay?"
As soon as I thought about Nina, Nina appeared.
Looking at Nina who looked worried, Asseth put the doubt in his eyes away.
"You're here just in time. Look at this box. Have you touched it before?"
Taking out the box containing the Horcrux, Asses said to Nina.
Nina looked at the box carefully, her eyes a little hesitant, "Nina seems to have come across this box when she was sorting it out."
"Have you ever taken anything out here?"
He carries a tool for detecting Horcruxes with him. He will find out immediately if there is something wrong with the things he takes out. And the books Snape took away were all in his hands, so there is no problem.
"Yes, one time Nina picked up a ball of paper on the ground. There was nothing on it. Nina thought it was garbage, so she picked it up and threw it away."
Paper ball?
This should be it.
Tapping his knuckles on the table, Asseth lowered his eyes in thought.
"Master, did Nina do something wrong?"
Nina grabbed the corner of her clothes, feeling uneasy.
Asseth did not answer her question, but asked another question, "Why? I remember that you never messed with anything of mine, and you would always ask me about anything you did."
Nina's voice was filled with confusion, "Nina doesn't know, Nina just thinks it should be done."
Should this be done?
Her words made Artes raise his eyebrows in surprise, and with a movement of his wrist, he pointed the wand at her.
A spell to detect dark magic fell on her, but there was no problem.
Not black magic.
The man lowered his eyes to hide the haze in his eyes and muttered to himself, "So it's fate?"
"Master?"
Nina's voice was full of uneasiness, and the clothes in her hands were wrinkled by her grip. Did she do something wrong?
His thoughts were interrupted, Asseth raised his head and smiled reassuringly at Nina, "It's okay, do you still remember where you threw the paper ball?"
Hearing this, Nina carefully recalled the scene at that time, and then shook her head in confusion, "Nina seems not to have lost it, but the paper ball is gone."
As if remembering something, Nina's voice suddenly became louder.
"Nina seemed to know. Nina met several students in the kitchen. One of the students accidentally bumped into Nina, and then the paper ball disappeared."
"she?"
"Yes, a Gryffindor girl."
Gryffindor? girl?
Artes understood, then waved his hand, and Ginny's portrait appeared in mid-air, "Is it her?"
Nina stood on tiptoe to identify it carefully, then nodded affirmatively, "Yes, that's her."
"Okay, I understand, you..."
Asseth wanted to say something else, but was interrupted by Nina who suddenly changed her color.
"Master Arthur, Professor Snape called me."
professor?
Ace's head started to hurt.
But it's no use having a headache. No one can escape the Snake King's summons, especially him.
In the cellar
Arthas and Snape sat across the table from each other.
Then Asseth told everything he knew except the Horcruxes.
After he finished speaking, Snape didn't react. Deathly silence spread in the cellar, and the two of them sat on the sofa without saying a word.
Feeling this weird atmosphere, Miss Medusa silently retracted her neck, like an ostrich, and buried her head on the door handle. Her eyes, only the size of mung beans, peeked at the silent two people from time to time.
Seeing that Snape was brooding and had no intention of speaking, Artes opened his mouth to break the silence.
"Professor, this is all I know. I don't know much more."
This time Snape finally reacted. He lazily looked up at Artes.
"You know a lot, even more than me, a professor. Maybe I should praise you for being a school director?"
The gorgeous sound of a cello is as beautiful as a cello.
Artes looked at Snape helplessly, "Professor? This is just a coincidence."
"That's really a coincidence."
Snape snorted coldly, crossed his hands, stared at Artes with his deep pupils, and warned in a deep voice.
"Stay out of this, if you have any sense."
"I……"
Before poor Asseth could finish his words, he was left behind by the potion master who saw his intention.
Seeing Snape disappear behind the wooden door of the potion room, Artes sighed deeply.
He knew that Snape was worried about him, but this was beyond his control, not to mention that the Horcrux escaped from his hands, how could he just stand by and watch.
So no matter what the reason, he had to intervene in this matter.
Obviously, Snape also knew his answer, so he left impatiently.
The next day, the incident about Mrs. Norris did not cause much turmoil among the little wizards. Except for Filch, no one cared about a cat that would help the caretaker catch them.
Artes didn't do much either. Ginny was a Gryffindor in a different grade and a girl, so he had no way to get in touch with her.
