HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 181 Farce and Something Wrong

"Teaching you to face the terror within yourself."

As he spoke, Lockhart struck the unknown object with his wand. The unknown object shook instantly, and a crashing sound came from inside.

"Of course, you don't need to worry at all, because with me here, you won't have any problems."

Draco frowned below, looking at the things covered by the cloth, secretly alerting himself. As for Harold's words, he didn't believe a word of it.

Subconsciously, his hand held the beads in his pocket.

Lockhart looked around at the little wizard below and slowly placed his hand on the red cloth with satisfaction.

"Now, don't panic, let's take a look, the Cornish Leprechaun!"

After saying that, he pulled away the red cloth, revealing the blue goblin excitedly hitting the cage inside.

"Wow"

The little wizards below all marveled, looking at the creatures inside with wonder, and at the same time full of expectations for this lesson.

"Now let me see how you will deal with them."

The door of the cage was opened, and the irritable little goblin inside instantly rushed out and flew to every part of the classroom.

As if seeking revenge, they charged at everything in the classroom, knocking over piles of books and knocking over tables.

"Calm down and get them together."

Lockhart yelled for instructions, but no one was willing to listen to him. Every little wizard was in a panic to avoid the goblins' pranks.

Except Draco.

Draco stood firmly at the back of the classroom, protected by a protective shield, with a large group of small snakes gathering around him.

The protective cover was made big enough by Aces to protect all the little snakes. There were also many little lions fishing in troubled waters and caught in the little snakes.

Draco saw it, but he just remembered what Ass had said and did not drive them away.

Soon, the goblins discovered that the little wizard was being protected and flew over one after another.

All the little wizards looked at them in horror, except Draco who didn't panic at all.

If it crashes, I lose.

He awaited the goblins' movements with disdain.

Sure enough, no matter how the goblins bumped and scratched, the protective shield did not change at all. The little wizard inside gradually felt at ease and looked at Draco with admiration in his eyes.

After trying and failing to break through the protective shield, the goblins once again focused on the little wizards who were not in the protective shield.

Poor Neville ran too slowly and did not hide in the protective cover. Instead, the goblins caught him and hung him up by his ears.

Neville's face was red and he looked like he was about to cry. His body hanging in the air kept shaking.

Draco gave him a sympathetic look, but made no move.

He was not a fool. There were so many goblins and he couldn't save him even if he went out, let alone why he would save a Gryffindor.

Lockhart on the stage saw the out-of-control scene and waved his wand anxiously, but it had no effect. The goblins arrogantly snatched his wand away and looked at him with pride.

Seeing that he couldn't control the situation, Lockhart didn't care so much anymore. He turned around and ran upstairs. Before leaving, he didn't forget to say to the little wizard below, "I'll leave the rest to you."

Everyone looked at him angrily, even the little witch who had a crush on him at first.

But that didn't stop Lockhart from leaving.

Just like when he came, the wooden door was slammed shut by him. Now, the little wizards who had some expectations for him were completely disappointed.

"Collapsed."

The sound of chanting magic spells was heard, and the little goblins who were still wreaking havoc fell into a deep sleep one after another, and then fell down heavily.

All the little wizards followed the direction where the magic spell came from and saw Asseth holding the wand.

Looking at the tragic scene, and remembering the information he had just obtained on Harlot, Asseth sighed deeply.

Why can't this school have a normal Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?

-

What happened in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, thanks to the efforts of the little lions, spread throughout Hogwarts within one day.

Everyone was dubious, except for Lockhart's fans who firmly believed that it was those unconvinced black fans who maliciously fabricated the story and framed Lockhart.

But at this time, Artes had no time to care about Lockhart and his fans.

He is very busy right now.

On the day when the Duke and Anna came to school, they left him on a trip again. This time it was a real trip, even all the family affairs were left to Asseth.

Nina ran errands on his behalf every day, fetching various documents and reports for Asses, and then Nina sent them back after processing them.

Because he just got started and is not very proficient yet, Asseth spends a lot of time on it every day.

At the end of the week, he couldn't even find time to go to the cellar.

Late that night, it was already curfew time in Hogwarts, and everyone in the castle was sleeping. Only Aces' dormitory was still lit.

In the dormitory, the lights were bright, and Asseth was casually wearing a nightgown and writing something in front of his desk. The pile of parchment on the desk was so high that it even covered his figure.

After handling the last document, Asseth put down his quill tiredly and called Nina in a low voice to sort and collect the documents.

Nina quickly came to the dormitory and neatly sorted out the slightly messy files on the table.

But after sorting out the documents, she did not leave directly as usual, but looked at Asseth with hesitation.

"Master Asseth? There is something I think I should tell you."

Aces leaned back in his chair and half-closed his eyes to rest. When he heard Nina's voice, he opened his eyes.

"what happened?"

"I've been traveling back and forth to the castle recently, and I always feel like something is wrong in the castle."

"Something's wrong?"

Aces quickly grasped the point.

"Is there something wrong with the person? Or is there something wrong with the thing?"

"It's like being stared at by a wild animal. It's creepy."

Artes sat up straight, recalling the fragments of prophecy that came to Malfoy Manor for the first time, with an unreadable expression.

He ordered Nina, "Send the documents away first and then come back."

"Okay, Master."

Nina quickly disappeared in front of Asseth holding the file, and she reappeared a moment later.

"Master, I'm fine."

"Well, next I will turn into an Animagus form. You are responsible for covering up all traces of me. If anyone notices something is wrong, bring me back immediately."

His tone was solemn and serious, and Nina also became serious.

"Okay, Master Asseth."

In the dim corridor of Hogwarts, the wind blew and the candlelight flickered. At the intersection of shadow and light, a small white tiger suddenly appeared, followed by a house elf.

With the snap of fingers, both the little white tiger and the elf disappeared.

Artes walked carefully through every corridor of Hogwarts, but found nothing unusual.

Until he passed by the women's restroom on the third floor, the little white tiger's eyes sharpened, the hair on his body suddenly exploded, and he couldn't help but growl at the women's restroom.

Fortunately, Nina was always paying attention to Asseth, and when he behaved abnormally, she immediately teleported the two of them away.
