HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 145 Detention

Draco looked down at his hands in confusion, only to realize that he could already see himself.

"Mr. Malfoy, who prepared your Disillusionment Charm for you, or your night travel companion?"

Draco opened his mouth slightly, not really wanting to betray Carter who brought him out.

Seeing his hesitation, Professor McGonagall reminded Draco kindly.

"I heard that Professor Snape has recently stopped confinement and instead punished students with essays."

Thinking of the thesis and the way Artes was tortured by the thesis, Draco decisively chose to betray Carter.

"Mr. Carter?"

Professor McGonagall scanned the empty corridor with sharp eyes and waved her wand.

"Reveal quickly."

The corridor remained unchanged and empty, and Draco let out a small sigh of relief.

Professor McGonagall glanced at him.

"In this case, Mr. Malfoy will stay with me first. When I find Mr. Carter, we will determine the content of your punishment."

Draco nodded angrily.

Taking Draco with him, Professor McGonagall searched carefully in the corridors of Hogwarts.

After walking around a corner, there was a faint sound coming from the silent corridor. The familiar sound made Professor McGonagall frown.

She reached out to stop Draco, signaling him to be silent.

The faint voices became clearer and clearer, as if they were arguing about something.

Draco listened carefully for a moment, and then breathed a sigh of relief. It was not Carter's voice.

Professor McGonagall picked up her wand and waited quietly for the arrival of several little wizards traveling at night.

"Hagrid likes dragons very much, he told me before."

"Harry, it would be good for everyone if Norbert is sent away. Hagrid cannot raise a dragon in Hogwarts."

"That's a dragon!"

The voice of the words reached the ears of Professor McGonagall and Draco clearly, and both of them could hear the contents clearly.

Oops, it looks like someone is going to be unlucky. Draco gloated and snickered behind Professor McGonagall.

The three of them quickly walked up to Professor McGonagall, but they were too engrossed in chatting to notice Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall's stern gaze fell directly on the trio of saviors approaching.

"good evening."

"I think you need to explain to me why you are here during curfew time."

The sudden sound startled the trio, and when they saw clearly that it was Professor McGonagall, their faces instantly turned pale.

Especially Hermione, she was so nervous that tears could be seen in her eyes.

In an empty classroom, Professor McGonagall stood on the podium and looked at the three Harrys sternly.

"I have emphasized that as students, you should not wander around the school in the middle of the night."

Although he promised Artes not to have more contact with Harry, Draco couldn't help but secretly laugh when he saw their misfortune.

He was standing next to Professor McGonagall, so his smile was clearly visible to the three Harrys.

"It must be you, you annoying snitch."

Ron looked at Draco unconvinced and cursed him with gestures.

This scene happened to be discovered by Professor McGonagall who was lecturing her, and she turned cold.

"Mr. Weasley, Mr. Malfoy just happened to be out at night and was caught by me. He didn't say anything about you."

Because of Artes, Professor McGonagall's impression of Slytherin has improved more than a little bit, and she is now very dissatisfied with Ron's prejudice against Draco.

Ron was still thinking about saying something, but was mercilessly interrupted by Professor McGonagall.

"Needless to say, because of your behavior of wandering at night, each of you will be deducted fifty points."

"And, in order to give you a warning, the four of you must be detained in court."

Four?

Draco's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Yes, Mr. Malfoy, you also travel at night, so you also have to accept punishment, or should I hand you over to your dean?"

Draco shuddered when he thought of Aces' tragic situation, "No, no, I'll stay with them." He said it reluctantly, but without any hesitation.

Professor McGonagall looked at his refusal with amusement, her eyes thoughtful.

Was Severus' punishment of writing the essay so effective? Should she try it too?

All the lions present shuddered and looked at each other, all with a bad feeling.

In front of the dim gate of Hogwarts.

The caretaker, Mr. Filch, held an oil lamp and coldly threatened the four little wizards as he walked.

"It's really a pity. You have caught up with the good times. The old punishment method has been cancelled. You must know that students who were detained in the past were hung upside down in the dungeon."

He glanced maliciously at the four little wizards who were so frightened that their faces turned pale.

"Hmph, but you will be detained with Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest. I really hope to hear your screams of fright."

While they were talking, the five of them came to Hagrid's hut, "Hagrid, I brought these four brats who went out at night in violation of school rules."

Hagrid was arranging his equipment, feeling unhappy.

When Filch saw this, he said in disbelief, "Merlin, are you still thinking about that dragon?"

"Norbert was sent away by Dumbledore."

Filch showed a weird smile, "I have to say, this is a wise move."

"But you'd better be vigilant now. The Forbidden Forest is not a place for fun."

Hagrid stopped talking. After arranging his equipment, he looked at the four little wizards.

"We should go."

Just like that, the four little wizards stood in a row and followed Hagrid into the dark and gloomy Forbidden Forest.

The Forbidden Forest at night is terrifying. The cries of crows are mixed with the rustling of leaves blown by the wind. The weak moonlight passes through the sparse leaves and falls on the ground, causing waves of tremors.

"Hagrid, are you sure we're going to be okay?"

Ron couldn't help but break the silence and asked Hagrid.

Because he and Arthur had been to the Forbidden Forest before, Draco was not too afraid of the Forbidden Forest.

He even had the time to laugh mockingly at Ron.

Stimulated by his laughter, Ron was no longer afraid. He strode past him and snorted hard at him.

Draco ignored his childish approach and went his own way.

When he came to a fork in the road, Hagrid stopped and looked at the silver liquid underground with distress.

"What is this?" Harry asked.

"Unicorn blood. I found an injured unicorn a few days ago."

This sentence caught Draco's attention. He looked at the blood on the ground nervously and worriedly, and quickly asked, "The unicorn is injured? Is it seriously injured?"

His tone was anxious, and the trio looked at him strangely, but Draco had no time to care what they were thinking. He just wanted to know, is the injured unicorn still alive?

Seeing that the concern on his face didn't seem to be fake, Hagrid's face looked a little better.

"It's okay, but we have to find it and treat it."

Draco nodded in agreement, and his originally negative attitude suddenly became positive.

"Then let's set off now and split up?"
