HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 134 Unraveling

Arriving at the hiding place outside the auditorium, Asseth took out the imitation alchemy map and tapped his wand on it.

Densely packed names instantly appeared on the empty parchment.

His eyes slid past Snape who was staying in the cellar, and stopped at the Hogwarts library.

The savior is in the library?

Aces raised his eyebrows. He had never heard that the savior loved to learn.

After hesitating for a moment, Asseth took out his wand and cast a disillusionment spell on himself.

Carefully avoiding crowds along the way, and following the instructions on the map in his memory, Asses came to a place he was familiar with.

The room with the Mirror of Erised.

Aces stood at the door and gently used his wand to open a crack in the door.

Looking through the crack in the door, the inside was the same as before, an empty room and a gorgeous mirror. The only difference was that the person standing in front of the Mirror of Erised was Harry.

Seeing Harry standing blankly in front of the magic mirror, looking at the magic mirror dreamily, Artes frowned helplessly.

Can this savior stop for a while?

Fortunately, the Mirror of Erised is not a fatal thing.

Aces didn't want to interfere too much with Harry.

So after standing for a while and realizing that Harry had no intention of leaving, he raised his feet and prepared to leave.

But the moment he turned around, he suddenly felt a powerful wave of magic power.

Is this Dumbledore?

Aces froze on the spot, his gaze slowly sweeping across the entire room, and when he glanced at a pillar, he sighed calmly.

He was found.

When he came, he thought Harry was the only one here, so he didn't look at the map or pay attention to his surroundings.

Not vigilant enough.

Aces thought for a moment, then raised his hand and pushed the door open.

Harry was so immersed in the magic mirror that he didn't notice the footsteps behind him.

"This is the Mirror of Erised."

The sudden voice frightened Harry to turn around suddenly, and he breathed a subtle sigh of relief when he saw it was Artes.

"Mirror of Erised?"

"Yes, I think since you are here, you should feel its effect."

Aces approached Harry slowly.

Putting her hands on his shoulders, she gently turned his body towards the magic mirror, then half-bent down and whispered in his ear.

"Eris, in turn, is desire."

"Did you see that sentence above?"

"I saw it."

"What I show is not a mirror image, but your deepest desire."

"So what did you see? Mr. Potter."

Harry looked at his parents in the mirror absentmindedly, so, is this his desire?

"I saw...my parents."

His voice was hoarse and trembling.

Aces lowered his head and stared at Harry, who had his back turned to him.

Parents?

It's really sad. The name of the savior carries too many things. The first thing to bear the brunt is to protect the lives of his parents who died.

He sighed inwardly, and when he spoke again, his tone seemed much gentler.

"You know what? Elise and I discovered this mirror when we were in first grade. Like you, she saw her parents in the mirror."

Harry's attention was drawn back by Artes, and he turned his head and asked eagerly.

"Her parents are gone too?"

Aces let go of his hand, took a few steps back, looked at the magic mirror, and sighed in his tone.

"I can only tell you that her father is no longer here to protect her."

Harry lowered his head sadly, feeling a sympathy for Elise in his heart.

"Is she also immersed in the magic mirror?"

"No, she didn't."

"In the beginning, she did come to the magic mirror frequently, but one day, she stopped coming."

"She told me that the picture in the mirror really made her addicted to it, but precisely because she was so addicted, she knew clearly that it was all fake."

"So what if it's fake? I can only see them here."

Harry looked at the magic mirror and refuted Artes' words sadly. Artes was not surprised by his refutation and continued to speak without changing his expression.

"She said she couldn't believe how sad her father would be if he knew that she wasted her life because of hallucinations."

"His father saved her because of love, and she missed her father because of love. She gave up the Mirror of Erised because she loved her father, so she was unwilling to let him down."

This time Harry did not refute what Ass said, but looked at his parents in the magic mirror quietly and sadly, and the room fell into silence.

Aces stopped talking and stood quietly aside.

"Mr. Cavendish is right."

Dumbledore's voice came from behind the two of them.

Harry turned around in surprise and stammered.

"Deng... Principal Dumbledore!"

Aces also had appropriate surprise on his face and looked at Dumbledore behind him.

"Headmaster Dumbledore?"

Dumbledore winked at them, "It's me."

His naughty behavior successfully relieved Harry's nervousness and made Artes quietly relax.

It finally came out, and if it didn't come out, he wouldn't be able to talk anymore.

Dumbledore walked up to the two of them and looked at the Mirror of Erised with nostalgia.

"Only the happiest and most satisfied people can see themselves, but there are very few such people. Most of them are immersed in their own desires."

"So Harry, I will take the mirror away, and I hope you won't look for it."

When Harry heard this, his expression became even more sad. He glanced at the mirror reluctantly, and suddenly looked at Dumbledore.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, may I ask you, what did you see in the mirror?"

Dumbledore's nostalgic gaze turned a little sad.

"I saw it, I was holding thick woolen socks in my hand."

"Well, people always don't give me woolen socks, which makes me very distressed."

He pretended to sigh with regret, and then looked at Asseth aside.

"And you, Mr. Cavendish, may I ask you, what do you see in the mirror?"

"What did you see? It was a success in alchemy before. Now, I don't know."

After saying that, Asseth simply took two steps forward and stood in front of the magic mirror.
