HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 102 Special Funds

After saying that, Cedric felt guilty and did not dare to look at Ass's face.

Aces didn't expect that they would understand this matter like this.

He smiled helplessly and comforted Cedric.

"I don't blame you for this, I just didn't think it through."

"I should have made it clear from the beginning."

After hearing Asses' words, Cedric relaxed a lot and quietly made a gesture with his hand behind his back.

Aces noticed it, but didn't say anything. He already knew that there was a group of little wizards hiding in the corridor over there.

"So you don't have to apologize. What's more, in this case, it's not me who deserves an apology, but Professor Snape."

Aces continued.

Cedric nodded in agreement.

"We'll go find Professor Snape and apologize."

Seeing his attitude, Artes had a good impression of this little wizard from Hufflepuff for the first time.

"Take them back, don't hide there."

Aces suddenly pointed at the little wizards showing off behind Cedric in a funny way.

I saw the little badgers squeezing one by one, squeezing out several little badgers.

Cedric turned around and blushed in embarrassment when he saw how unreliable his classmate was.

Then he hurriedly said goodbye to Asseth and ran to his classmates.

Artes smiled as he watched Cedric lead the group of equally embarrassed little badgers away from the door of the Slytherin common room.

Before they left, they didn't forget to wave goodbye to Asseth.

Aces followed their example and waved goodbye to them.

"How innocent!"

Carter opened the door and walked out, looking at the little badgers going away.

"I can't say they are innocent. I see chivalry in them. Well, I should say some chivalry."

"knightship?"

"It seems you should know more about Muggles."

Aces glanced at Carter, who was confused, and turned back to the common room.

Carter was left looking confused.

"Oh, by the way, isn't tomorrow the weekend? You go to Hogsmeade tomorrow and contact Vincent. From now on, you two will be responsible for the special funds for potions."

"Vinson is responsible for the work outside the school, and you are responsible for the work inside the school."

Aces suddenly popped his head out of the common room and gave Carter instructions.

When Carter heard what was going on, he immediately became serious.

"Okay, sir."

Seeing that he agreed, Asseth nodded and stepped back.

The next day, Carter got ready early.

Early in the morning, Carter went to Hogsmeade Village. According to the address that Artes gave him, Carter came to the Three Broomsticks pub.

Ms. Rosmerta inside glanced lazily at Carter who came in, and when she saw that he was a little wizard, she withdrew her gaze.

"Hello, I'm looking for Mr. Vincent."

After hearing this, Ms. Rosmerta took a serious look at Carter.

Then she stood up straight and walked upstairs.

"Come with me."

Following Ms. Rosmerta, Carter came to a room on the second floor.

"He's inside, go in yourself."

After saying that, Ms. Rosmerta turned around and went downstairs.

Carter calmed down and raised his hand to knock on the door.

"Please come in."

A clear voice came from inside.

Carter pushed open the door and entered.

In the small room, a young man leaned on the sofa and looked at Carter who came in.

"Mr. Carter?"

"it's me."

After confirming Carter's identity, Vincent stood up and shook hands with Carter.

"Hello, I'm Vincent, the off-campus person in charge of this potion special fund."

Carter shook his hand and said, "Hello, I heard your husband mentioned it."

After the two exchanged pleasantries, they both sat down on the sofa and began to discuss the details of the special funds for potions.

It took almost a day for the two of them to sort out the relevant matters.

"That's all for today?"

"I should go back to Hogwarts, otherwise it will be against the rules later."

Carter rubbed his swollen temples and said to Vincent who was still writing something.

Vincent didn't even look up.

"Okay, then you go back first, I will finish this part, and we can discuss it directly tomorrow."

"It will still be the same time tomorrow."

Suddenly, Carter felt his head hurt even more.

"it is good."

In the Slytherin common room, Artes was sitting on the sofa by the fireplace, holding a book and reading fascinatedly.

Carter walked into the lounge tiredly.

"You're back? How's it going?"

Asseth's eyes were still glued to the book and he was asking random questions.

Next to him was Elise, who was drinking tea.

She gloated at Carter, who was too tired to say anything, and suddenly no longer envied him for getting the job.

Carter sat down on the sofa slowly and sluggishly, losing the desire to fight back against Elise for the first time.

He tried hard to be objective.

"Mr. Vincent, you are very serious."

"Very hard."

Aces raised his head and looked at Carter who was still racking his brains for words in amusement.

"Vinson does have a more serious character, that's why my father asked him to take charge of this matter. Just hold on."

"I won't be worse than him."

Carter seemed to have been triggered by some mechanism, and immediately straightened up and assured Asseth.

Then he leaned in again.

"However, I think I may not be suitable for managing money."

Carter said a little depressed that he discovered this problem today and that he did not have a good understanding of various financial issues.

"I know, it's just that I don't have anyone available at school right now, and Elise isn't old enough to go to Hogsmeade yet."

Hearing what Ases said, Carter suddenly remembered a person and looked at him hesitantly.

"If you have anything to say, just say it."

"Sir, I do have a candidate. As far as I know, he is a Muggle wizard and has always been in contact with Muggle business."

"Who?"

"Duval Hill, fifth grade."

Aces seemed to have some impression of this person, and he kept searching in his mind.

Where did you hear it?

"Wait, you mean he's a Muggle wizard?"

"Yes."

Carter's reaction to Artes was a bit strange.

In his impression, Artes did not reject Muggles, so he did not use those more insulting words.

"Don't think too much."

Aces glanced at Carter and knew what he was thinking.

"I just remembered why the name sounded familiar to me."

Carter smiled bitterly.

Isn't this a reasonable guess on his part?

Elise gave him a look of disdain, then asked about Asseth.

"Have you seen this person somewhere, sir?"

"Not seen, but heard, from Fred and George."

There was one more thing that Asseth didn't say. He had also heard this name from the professor's mouth.

When he was chatting with the professor about blood, the professor mentioned this name.

If he guessed correctly, the professor paid attention to this man because of his bloodline.
