Pokémon: The Climb

Chapter 106 Cave

After finding a windless place, Yang Yan changed himself into fresh clothes and finally could plan his next move.

Taking out a pen and paper, Yang Yan first took the lake he crossed as a starting point and roughly recorded the places he had walked and seen before.

"Nonsense, this is an independent different space, and I don't know if the time here is still calculated according to 24 hours..."

Yang Yan covered his forehead with his hand and looked at the position of the sun. After recording the directions of east, west, north and south, he estimated the time here to be around 2 o'clock in the afternoon based on the outside world.

The premise is that there are really 24 hours a day here.

The environment in the dune zone is somewhat similar to that of the desert. The temperature is relatively high during the day, but becomes very low at night.

"Let's first look around to see if there is any safe place that can be used as a shelter tonight."

Yang Yan stood up, dusted off his butt, and prepared to lead everyone off.

Centered on where they were now, the Chuanshan King group was due west of them. In order not to deal with them anymore, Yang Yan chose to go due east.

There happens to be a hillside going up the mountain, and it is also the highest hill nearby. After they go up, it is convenient for them to observe the surrounding environment.

Walking all the way up the mountain, they didn't encounter any other Pokémon this time.

"This area should be the territory of the Chuanshan King Clan. Now that they follow the leader's instructions and don't attack us, it's a lot safer. But we can't be careless. Everyone, don't let down your guard!"

Yang Yan took a water bottle and drank heavily. The weather here was too hot, and he felt like he was short of water after walking a short distance.

Fortunately, there were gem starfish following them, otherwise they would all die of thirst in this damn place soon.

After walking for about thirty minutes, Yang Yan finally arrived at the top of the mountain. It wasn't that the mountain was so high, it was just that the road was too rough.

The hot wind and dust hit my face, which was very uncomfortable.

Looking into the distance, the surrounding environment is similar, and it does not bring much useful information to Yang Yan.

Suddenly a black spot appeared in front of Yang Yan's eyes. Yang Yan stretched his neck to observe carefully, and then said uncertainly: "Is there a cave over there, Bada Die, Gem Starfish, Masana, can you see clearly? ?”

Now Yang Yan only has these three plus the little fire pony who is not afraid of heat. He has put the enchanting eye, Mu Shugong and Doi Ninja into the elf ball because they can't stand such weather.

They looked along where Yang Yan pointed, but the distance was too far and they couldn't see clearly, so they could only shake their heads at Yang Yan.

"Let's go over there and have a look first. If it's really a cave, there will be a resting place for tonight."

The advantage of having super-type Pokémon is that even if you jump off a cliff, you don't have to worry about falling to your death.

Of course, what Yang Yan faced was not a cliff, just a steep slope.

It's hard to go up the mountain, but it's easy to go down.

It took Yang Yan ten minutes to leave the hill. The black spot he just saw was not far away from them. He only needed to climb two more hills to see it.

After walking over, Yang Yan sighed: "It's really a cave!"

Before he even went downhill, he could already see the dark cave ahead. The entrance to the cave was not big, but it was just enough for them to move forward side by side.

Taking out the flashlight, Yang Yan let Gemstone Starfish walk in front, and then released the Soul Eye, letting it and Bad Die follow behind. He stayed at the end with Little Fire Horse and Mashana.

"Generally there are Pokémon in caves, Gem Starfish, be careful!"

Since none of the Pokémon around him have learned the Flash skill, they can only rely on Yang Yan's flashlight for lighting. However, the brightness of the flashlight is limited, and it still shines in a single direction. What if there is movement elsewhere? If so, they probably won't notice.

"It seems that we need to find an opportunity to let them learn to shine in the future, otherwise it will be really inconvenient."

Yang Yan originally thought that the cave was not deep, after all, the entrance was so small, and the mountain above the cave was not big, but he did not expect that he could not see the end after walking for a while.

Not only that, Yang Yan looked back in the direction he came down and found that the exit was above and behind them, which meant that the hole led to the ground.

"Badadie, use ultrasound to see if you can find the end."

Yang Yan asked everyone to stop first, because if they went forward, they would go too far. If something happened and they couldn't resist it, they might not have time to run, so it was a wiser choice to roughly confirm the situation first.

Baddie's ultrasonic wave probed toward the inside of the cave. After waiting for a while, it didn't find the end and shook its head at Yang Yan.

"This hole is too deep. Just in case we don't go any deeper, just go back."

Yang Yan just wanted to find a place to spend the night. Such a bottomless pit was obviously inappropriate.

His purpose is to explore the ground. The underground space has little to do with him. There is really no need to waste energy in such a place. Because although the location of the exit is not fixed, it is always on the ground where there is water. It is also a whirlpool just like the one they sent.

Hu Di told him that the exit would definitely be in a very conspicuous place. Unless he was unlucky and failed to explore that area, it would be impossible not to see it.

Of course, there might be an underground lake or something below, but Yang Yan doesn't need it.

"Bah!"

Just as Yang Yan was about to ask everyone to go back, Baddie suddenly called out. Although he didn't understand what it meant, he knew something was wrong when he saw several Pokémon around him instantly put on defensive postures.

"Is something coming?" Yang Yan asked nervously.

But now he doesn't need Badadie to answer anymore, he already knows the answer.

There was a slight vibration on the ground under his feet, and the amplitude and strength of the vibration became larger and larger. Large amounts of dust fell from the rocks above his head, and even small pieces of gravel hit Yang Yan's head.

Clearly something is approaching fast!

"Let's go back quickly!"

No matter what comes, it is definitely not conducive to fighting in such a narrow space. Only by exiting can there be space for everyone to move and counterattack.

In the process of retreating, Yang Yan finally discovered what Pokémon was coming.

Iron ants, and a large group of iron ants!

The two large iron pincers in front of their mouthparts kept making "click, click, click, click" sounds, and the dense group kept approaching, making Yang Yan's scalp numb.

"Gem starfish, water cannons to stop them!"

In a narrow space, the water cannon's attack is bound to hit, but this group of iron ants is obviously very united. They actually used their continuous slashing skills together and successfully defeated the water cannon with their numerical advantage! As a result, the water cannon did not exert its due power, and it could only take away a few particularly low-strength ones.

In a one-on-one situation, none of these iron ants can compete with the gem starfish, but they also know that this is their own weakness, so every time they hunt, they always go out in groups!

Iron Ant is also one of the few Pokémon that is never seen alone!

Yang Yan and the others are really in danger now!
