HP: The New God from Hogwarts

Chapter 210 Heading to the Camp

Oliver seemed to have been waiting here for a while, with a gray backpack at his feet.

He looked in high spirits and was not too upset that United failed to reach the World Cup final.

"I missed you so much, Luna."

Oliver cheerfully opened his arms and hugged Tao Wu, the only person standing there.

"How is life in the squadron?" Tao Wu put her hands around his waist as if returning a hug, and asked him half with concern and half with curiosity.

Oliver let go of her and walked towards Cedric, who had already climbed up and was pulling Arthur up. He punched him lightly on the shoulder and then turned to look at her.

"I like it very much, but I'm so busy with training that I can't even find time to write to you."

Cedric and Oliver exchanged punches with each other with a smile, "I thought you would be upset because you lost the semi-finals! It seems I was worrying too much."

Oliver jokingly punched Cedric in the stomach: "I'm not that fragile!"

"I remember when Harry didn't make the Gryffindor team, Gryffindor always lost, and you used to lose your temper after every game." Cedric teased Oliver's past dark history.

Harry had already stood up from the ground. He pulled up his good brother Ron who was pinned under him, and then used his wand to elegantly clear the grass clippings off his body.

"You are wrong, Senior. Even after I joined the school team, Oliver always lost his temper. We were always worried that he would rush into the Slytherin dormitory and beat up Flint one day."

As soon as Harry finished his teasing words, Fred and George's exaggerated laughter came over.

Tao Wu listened to their laughter and looked around at the surroundings. It was around five or six o'clock, the sky was still gray and there was a light mist all around.

Only then did she notice that not far behind Oliver, there were two figures standing in the mist. Just as she was about to ask Oliver if he knew, she saw Arthur pick up the gray boot on the ground and walk towards the two figures.

Out of curiosity and alertness, she quickly followed them, and when she got closer, she saw that they were two wizards with tired and gloomy faces.

They wore rather strange clothes and tried to dress themselves up as Muggles, but it made them look even more weird, and the Muggles shook their heads when they saw them.

"Thank you for your hard work, Basil." Arthur handed the gray boot to the wizard named Basil.

Basil took it and threw the boots into the big box beside him, which was filled with used door keys. There was a pile of old dark-colored boots, and Tao Wu could smell some stinky feet from a distance.

"Oh, Weasley, I envy you and Diggory so much that you don't have to work this damn night shift. We have to guard this place all night." Basil rubbed his red eyes and looked at Arthur and Amos with envy, who looked refreshed.

Amos patted Basil's shoulder sympathetically. "Oh, you've worked hard, buddy. I'll have to ask Fudge to pay you more. By the way, are the ministers here?"

Basil flipped through the thick pile of parchment in his hand, then looked up at him: "Mr. Fudge hasn't come yet, but Mr. Crouch and his secretary, Mr. Weasley, are here."

He squinted at the words on the parchment. "How strange you didn't come with Mr. Scamander, Diggory."

"Scamander?"

Tao Wu was surprised when she heard Basil mention Newt's last name. The day before yesterday, when she was communicating with Newt using a two-way mirror, that guy clearly said that he was going to a Scottish island to investigate the poaching of birds and snakes and would not come to watch the World Cup final.

Hearing her surprised voice, Basil looked away from the parchment and looked at her, "Yes, miss, Mr. Scamander, our great Magizoologist."

Tao Wu pointed at the parchment in his hand and asked, "Excuse me, is Mr. Scamander also coming to watch the game?"

"Of course! This is a grand event for the entire wizarding world. Mr. Scamander went to the camp about ten minutes ahead of you." Basil began to flip through the parchment in his hand again, "Let me find out where your camp is."

"Found it! Weasley is a mile ahead. The groundskeeper is Mr. Roberts. You are with Mr. Scamander. If you are lucky, you will see him. I hope his Niffler doesn't run into your tent in the middle of the night and steal all your gold Galleons."

After Basil finished speaking, he looked at Amos and said, "Diggory... Mr. Diggory, you are in the second camp. It is half a mile to the left of the first camp. Just find Mr. Payne. He will be in charge."

"Finally, Mr. Wood, you are in the fourth camp. Your teammates have already arrived. Go and meet up with them. Turn right at the first camp and it's one mile away. The person in charge there is Mr. Donald."

"Thank you very much, Basil." Arthur and Amos thanked their talkative colleague and then asked everyone to follow them.

As he passed by Basil, Cedric took out a few cans of coffee and a bottle of Buffy's Brain Stimulant from his bag and handed them to Basil: "Sir, I think you will need this."

"Thank you, handsome boy." Basil accepted Cedric's kindness without any hesitation. He patted the boy on the shoulder gently. "You are a good boy."

Everyone followed Arthur into the deserted, foggy swamp. The fog was so thick that they couldn't even see the people around them and could only barely make out their outlines.

They walked for nearly twenty minutes, and the fog gradually became thinner. They saw a stone gate. Looking inside the gate, they saw a vast area with hundreds of tents of various colors and strange shapes.

There was a real Muggle standing at the door. Tao Wu guessed that he should be the person in charge of the first camp.

"Good morning, sir." Arthur took the lead in politely greeting the Muggle gentleman.

"Good morning, what can I do for you?" the Muggle replied.

"Are you, Mr. Roberts?"

Mr. Muggle nodded and said, "Yes, may I ask who you are and what's the matter?"

"Weasley, we booked two tents a couple of days ago, take a look."

"Weasley, two tents, one night only." Roberts consulted the form in his hand, then pointed to the door, "You have a piece of land over there in the woods."

"Now, can you pay?" Roberts looked up at Arthur, "Twenty pounds."

Arthur turned his back and took out a roll of banknotes from his pocket. He had exchanged these at Gringotts, but he didn't know how to calculate and use them.

"How do I use this?" Arthur muttered awkwardly, his face turning red with nervousness.

"What's wrong, Mr. Weasley?" Roberts looked at Arthur in confusion and complained, "What a strange bunch of people. A large group of people came here to camp and rent tents for no apparent reason. Some paid with round gold coins, while others couldn't even pay."

His words made Arthur even more embarrassed. He whispered to Amos, "How much is twenty dollars? Can you help me check it?"

Amos was also confused.

Tao Wu touched the banknotes in his pocket and asked Roberts, "Can you please help me check the rental and price of Mr. Diggory and Mr. Wood? Can you take a look at this?"

"Okay." Roberts took out another form. "Diggory is at Payne's. He has to pay ten pounds. Mr. Wood is at Donald's. His friends have already paid. They can just go there."

"Thank you." She fished three ten-pound notes from her pocket and handed them to Roberts. "Here are the fees for Mr. Weasley and Mr. Diggory. Please."

She gave Roberts another five-pound note.

"Okay." Roberts quickly wrote a receipt and handed it to Amos. "Just go to Payne directly."

After entering the stone gate and separating from Amos and Oliver, Arthur breathed a sigh of relief: "Thank you for your help, Luna. I couldn't recognize those pieces of paper at all."

He wanted to give Tao Wu two gold galleons to compensate her for the money she had just paid, but Tao Wu refused harshly, saying that they had such a close relationship that there was no need to be polite.

Among thousands of tents, Tao Wu saw at a glance a tent with a somewhat ugly shape at the edge of the woods.

No need to guess who this belongs to.
