Hogwarts: Slytherin Kiss

Chapter 145 Malfoy Manor can support you

Draco then began to open the gift Indra gave him and took out a wooden object from the soft package.

A magical handmade calendar that can be placed like a photo frame and flipped over.

On the front is a calendar board and on the back is a colorful portrait of Draco.

It is made of peach wood, one inch thick, with dragon wings on the frame, a red-crowned crane and a snake carrying a lisianthus.

They were all carved bit by bit by Indra with his magic wand.

The calendar is like a piece of chocolate board, slightly raised. The lunar calendar, as well as some festivals and special dates are marked below the Gregorian calendar dates.

The green square with a small snake engraved on it indicates that today is April 4th in the Gregorian calendar, and the smaller font below shows the lunar date.

With a gentle smile on his face, Indra said softly, "I made it myself, do you like it?"

Draco opened his mouth slightly in surprise, looking at the calendar photo frame intently, nodded and said softly, "I like it."

He took Indra in his arms and kissed her hard on the lips.

"Say a date to it and it will show itself." Indra said.

Draco said without hesitation: "June 5th."

The magic calendar has changed a lot. June is displayed in the upper right corner. The square with the small snake engraved on it turns into a faint light green, and the font on it is June 5th in gold.

On the third day of the Easter holidays, Indra showed Draco the white silk dress she wore in the bathroom.

Finally, he was told not to use magic and must find all the dropped pearls.

Draco willingly bent over and searched for the rest of the night.

In the last few days before the holidays ended, a new notice was posted on the serpentine wall of the Lake Lounge. It stated career guidance and a time for each fifth-year student to meet with the dean of the college to discuss future employment issues.

Indra looked and saw that she was the last to go to the potions office at three o'clock next Friday. Draco was just ahead of her and needed to go at ten o'clock on Friday morning.

There are also many brochures of various wizard professions piled on every table in the lounge, and there are even recruitment flyers and notices!

Everyone can feel that they are really not far away from the ordinary wizard examination, or even from graduation.

Many classmates gathered together to read the career manuals, and Indra, Senna, Chucks and Draco were no exception.

Senna specifically looked at the career brochure issued by the Ministry of Magic, "If I want to enter the Department of International Magical Cooperation after graduation, I must first obtain at least good grades in Charms, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, and Magic in Owl." History, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions at least passing grades, and must participate in an intramural sport, well I've already done that."

Chucks flipped through the brochures and flyers one after another, "I don't want to work, can Malfoy Manor support me?"

Draco said lazily, "Okay, I happen to have a vacant house elf position, you can take it."

Chucks continued, frowning thoughtfully, "I might want to be a professional Quidditch player, what about you?"

He asked Draco and Indra.

Indra looked through the contents of many of these professions that she had never heard of. There was actually a profession that specialized in training troll security guards and required a qualification certificate.

She shook her head, "I don't want to work either."

"Malfoy Manor can support you." Draco immediately smiled.

Indra laughed silently.

Draco was also looking at the Ministry of Magic brochure and said calmly, "I want to enter the Ministry of Magic."

Although the Malfoy family's wealth accumulated over the centuries was enough for him to squander for several lifetimes, Draco began to feel that these things did not allow him to fully control his own destiny.

Especially when his ideas conflict with his father's.

Senna looked at him in surprise, "You also want to enter the Ministry of Magic?"

Draco nodded.

Indra looked at Draco with a deep and touching gaze. She knew why he wanted to enter the Ministry of Magic.

If he had influence independent of the Malfoy family, he would have the confidence to bring him home in a fair manner.

However, Indra felt that it would be more direct and effective if Lucius had to consider her status and the benefits she could bring to Malfoy.

So, they are both working hard towards each other.

On the Friday afternoon after the holiday, Indra was halfway through her Transfiguration class and rushed to the Potions Office to discuss her career plans with Snape.

She had already told Professor McGonagall in advance, so she quietly walked out of the classroom.

"What job do you want to do after graduation?"

As soon as Indra entered the door and before she sat down on the chair in front of the desk, Professor Snape asked straight to the point.

He crossed his fingers on the table and looked at her with his dark eyes like two deep wells.

Indra wanted to say that she didn't want to work and she still had a lot to learn.

So she said honestly, "I don't know."

"Don't know?" Snape drawled, his eyebrows moved and he nodded indifferently.

"If you pass the OWL exam with all A's, you can leave this issue until seventh grade to think about it. How about that? Is that okay? If so, our career guidance will be over."

Indra twitched the corners of his lips and said slightly dissatisfied, "You should at least introduce me to some work situations that are suitable for me."

"Then you can concentrate on studying potions. I believe you have already felt that potions are a costly and profitable profession. If you reach a certain level, you can get a very high status and honor, and even get the Order of Merlin."

Snape said softly, spreading his hands, "How is it?"

"The research on potions is indeed a direction I will not give up. Do you have any specific plans?"

Snape nodded slightly, "After graduation, you can first pursue a career as a pharmacist. Don't rush to refute. Potions are not something that is divorced from reality. They require a lot of experience. What you learned in school is about prescribing the right medicine." There are too few things in the real magical world. St. Mungo's receives a large number of patients with strange symptoms every day, and you need to practice..."

"Did you also work as a pharmacist for a period of time after graduating from Hogwarts?" Indra finally asked curiously.

Snape was silent for a moment and nodded as usual.

But of course he didn't have the time or patience to be a pharmacist at that time, so he joined the Death Eaters' camp. What Voldemort needed was not a pharmacist.

When Indra walked out of the magic office, it was as if she had been baptized and had a new understanding of potions.

She sighed. It wasn't that she didn't realize that experience and vision were important to potions, but she just couldn't bring herself to practice and get in touch with those ordinary, boring, and tedious things.
