Yilan's journey to another world

Chapter 27 Exploring the High Mountain Area

Everyone hiked up the mountain. From the moment they stepped onto the mountain road, everyone tensed up.

Under the leadership of Wayne, at noon, we walked to the entrance of the cave that we had agreed to enter the mountain yesterday. We repaired the outside of the cave before entering.

Each team member is affixed with a breathing charm before entering. As long as they don't make too much noise, it will not attract Yasha's attention, but they need to be replaced before it expires in two hours.

At first, the opening only allowed one person to pass through. As it went inside, it became wider and the light became dimmer.

Wayne turned on an ordinary flashlight, and the cave immediately lit up.

Found white mucus on the mountain wall, Wayne stepped forward to pick up a trace with his fingers, put it to his nose and smelled it, confirming that it was Yaksha's excrement.

Nodding towards the team members behind them, everyone became nervous instantly. It seemed that their guess was correct, and now they just needed to be verified.

The cave was dark and damp, and the sound of water dripping could be heard from time to time.

Wayne's flashlight circled around the four walls of the cave and found that there were many openings up and down the surrounding area, and the dark holes extended to unknown places.

Wayne gestured to follow the plan, and the team members were automatically divided into five teams. Wayne and Yilan were in one team, and the others were in teams of four, entering the cave entrance from different directions.

Wayne was in front, Lan behind, moving forward cautiously, trying not to make any noise.

When we first entered, the traces of Yaksha were not very obvious. The deeper we went, the more traces of Yaksha's activities became.

My heart suddenly sank to the bottom.

After walking further inside for a while, we entered a relatively wide passage. Standing in the passage, we could see countless holes densely arranged on both sides of the passage.

Carefully walking through the entrance of a cave, Wayne shined his flashlight and saw that the cave was densely covered with sleeping yakshas. After looking at several more caves, he found that they were all in the same situation.

They ran quickly in the passage, and the light of the flashlight passed through each hole. The more they looked at it, the more their hearts sank.

After finding an exit, the two walked out of the cave in silence and stood in the sun. Their bodies and minds seemed to be still in the cave, cold.

Yi Lan couldn't help but shudder.

After waiting on the mountain road for a while, other team members also came out one after another.

They quickly ran to another high mountain and entered the cave to check separately. What they saw made everyone even more silent.

It was getting late when we came out, and Wayne signaled to return to the camp.

No one said a word during the whole process.

Returning to the temporary camp last night, Yilan went to add star cores to the formation.

Jerry threw his backpack to the ground, "Damn it, have we all been abandoned by God? Let's not let others live." After saying that, he sat on the ground and plunged down, only to see it falling on the ground. A few drops of water.

Everyone else looked at him without saying a word, as if they were seeing themselves.

Decadence, despair, helplessness.

Daniel walked up to Wayne and looked at his calm face and said, "Captain, is there nothing we can do?"

"Yes!" Wayne replied affirmatively.

Daniel's face lit up instantly when he heard this.

"It's just that we haven't found it yet. There's always a way out." Wayne looked at the team members gathered around him. "There will always be a way. Let's not give up until the last moment."

When everyone heard Wayne's words, they didn't ask any more questions.

Daniel walked to Yilan dejectedly, glanced at her listlessly, hesitated to speak, and finally did not say anything.

Passed by silently.

Yilan knew what he wanted to ask, and she was anxious, but she also felt helpless.

After dark, Yasha pounced again.

Everyone looked at the Yaksha army in front of them, clenched their hands tightly, and loosened them weakly, then turned around and returned to the tent and never came out again.

Yilan waited in the tent for a while before Wayne came in. After he walked in, he said nothing and stared at her with unfocused eyes.

She couldn't see clearly what he was thinking now, but she could only feel that he was in a mess and was in a very low mood.

Yilan walked over, squatted in front of him, grabbed his hand, looked up at him and said, "Wayne, are you okay?"

Wayne came back to his senses and said, "I'm fine, don't worry!"

"Yeah!" Yi Lan gently rested her head on his knee, and Wayne stroked her head gently.

One night, the two spent another night practicing.

Even so, the two seemed to be in better spirits than the other team members, who all crawled out of the tent with big dark circles under their eyes and yawning profusely.

The rising sun always brings hope to people.

Seeing the bright sunshine, the team members finally felt a little energetic.

After breakfast, the team members continued to inspect the mountains. They had to inspect all the mountains.

I checked 8 peaks today. On the way down, my morale became even lower and I walked into the camp with shuffling steps.

Yi Lan was extremely anxious when he saw this situation. Wayne had a string of fire bubbles on his mouth today, even if he was asked to drink some spiritual spring water, he would not drink it.

Seeing him being so self-inflicted, Yilan couldn't do anything except feel sorry for him.

She thought that she must be the weakest among all the people who traveled through time. Either they were saving the world, or they were not thriving in the harem, or they were not showing off their talents in the shopping mall. How could anyone be as weak as her?

I'm afraid it's gone?

His abilities were useless and his brain was not working well, so he hit himself hard on the head several times.

Wayne noticed Yilan's movement and stepped forward to grab her hand. "What are you doing? Calm down. You will always find a way."

He pursed his lips and said, "It's my inability that makes everyone so desperate."

"Captain, how can I blame you for this? If I want to blame it, it's because of the bad world."

"Yes, Captain, don't blame yourself, we will always find a way."

"Captain, at least we can still practice now. Our abilities are growing every day, which means we still have hope."

"Yeah yeah!"

The team members who had noticed them long ago said.

Watching the team members trying to comfort themselves. Wayne felt sincerely pleased, yes, at least our abilities are still improving, and at least people are united now.

No matter how big the difficulty is, it will always be solved.

The next day, the team members' spirits were much better, and they were no longer as demoralized as the previous two days.

Today, Wayne also planned to lead everyone to explore the remaining mountains. Those mountains were a bit far away from the current temporary camp. There was not enough time to go back and forth in one day, so he decided to move the temporary camp to the air raid shelter.

The team members finished cleaning up the camp and found a place to hide the motorcycles.

After arriving at the air raid shelter, we settled down and waited for Yilan to arrange the formation before everyone set off for the mountains.

The results of the investigation are self-evident.

After resting for a night in the air raid shelter, everyone returned to Amanda Town the next day.

Yilan went to the wheat field to check the situation and found that there was still no obvious change in the wheat field. He couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Could it be that the land here was so polluted that the spiritual spring water had no effect at all?

Although disappointed, Yilan still wanted to make a final struggle and continued to pour spiritual spring water into the canal.
