Her interest was high, and she suddenly became extremely diligent. She exchanged various materials along the way, looked for storage to see how to classify them, and rearranged the layout of several study rooms...

It’s so busy that it’s a real joy, it’s a real joy!

For a storage geek like her, the preparatory work of purchasing paper materials and organizing and storing them is actually more enjoyable than the interest in "collage" itself.

Even after completing this series of preparations, she did not rush to start working directly. Instead, she collected a large number of collage videos, fast forwarded or doubled the speed, and watched many of them.

There is a big difference between three-dimensional operations on paper and dragging on a computer. She needs to learn it in advance.

Take a look at how these experienced bloggers operate it. Are there any efficient ways to use tweezers, scissors, carving knives, and glue? What are the key points that need to be paid attention to when collaging...

It’s really not for nothing. After reading a lot, even though I haven’t practiced it, I still have a vague system.

For example, when doing layout works on the computer, she is used to placing the main body first and then selecting the background. Anyway, she just drags the layer under another layer, which is very convenient.

But on paper, the setting of background materials can be divided into two situations.

One is to stick it on from the beginning and then layer it directly on top of the background decoration. This obviously requires her to design it in advance. After all, she can’t regret it after putting it on;

Another way is to put the main material first, but not glue it firmly, leaving a piece without glue, apply glue to the background material and then insert it.

This situation is more in line with her own design habits, but it can also be seen that she needs to be more careful in the operating techniques, and the adhesive parts must also be designed well.

She has never considered herself to be a handy person. She is very self-aware in this kind of manual work and does not touch particularly complicated types.

As for collage, she feels that she still has the ability to fight, but it is not as stable as some bloggers.

——She saw a blogger who could directly hold the scissors and cut along the edges of the text material, perfectly covering every corner and bump of the text.

That’s it, a whole film cutting machine becomes perfect.

She definitely couldn't do it. Faced with this kind of material, she would either use a film cutter or directly find a golden finger to describe it and exchange it.

So, by the time she carefully selected the first ledger book that she collaged by herself and was finally ready to start working on it, several days had passed.

With the experience of watching and learning from so many videos, even if she keeps talking on paper, she can actually operate it smoothly.

——Wait a minute, on paper...it shouldn’t be called armchair talk. It should be more like armchair talk on an electronic screen. Even from a certain perspective, real collage is just armchair talk on paper.

In short, at the beginning, she played it safe and chose a non-loose-leaf book with a cowhide retro style. The inner pages were A6 size, brown soft leather, with straps of the same color on the outside, and a brass sun pendant.

The collage content did not choose the more challenging and innovative modern fashion style, but a relatively simple collage theme of the same color materials.

On the first page, just like her electronic diary, choose green as the theme color.

Open the paper, flatten it by hand, and then clamp the pages on both sides with an old imitation brass hand sculpture folder. This clamp is quite heavy. Once clamped on both sides, the paper can be unfolded flat without pressing it with your hands.

Facing the blank page, she felt a little confused and confused at first - it was also quite strange. They were obviously two contradictory feelings, but they happened at the same time.

After calming down for a while, she began to follow the steps step by step, first roughly designing the distribution.

It's really very rough, just simply decide a few positions in your mind. For example, this area can be used as a background, stacked several layers of decorations, and the top subject can be surrounded by a frame with tape;

Several materials can be interlaced over there, and pasted across pages in the middle. The empty spaces above and below can be filled with small decorations...

After roughly drawing out the scope, she began to select materials.

This process also made her very happy. Because she was not in a hurry, she did not directly use the space to get the materials. Instead, she rowed the rolling chair and moved to the cabinet related to the handbook.

It's very leisurely. When I think about what kind of materials I want to get, I twist the handle on the corresponding small drawer. When the wooden drawer is opened, it will make a very pleasant friction sound.

Smoothly take out the storage box or bag inside, and before taking it back to the workspace on the desk, pinch open the lid with anticipation, or wrap around the straps to reveal the dazzling array of materials inside.

First, she chose a note paper with a background. She chose a square note with a full adhesive backing because the pages of the ledger were blank with no lines or spaces. She wanted the background to be used only as a background and did not need to stand out too much. .

So I chose a note paper that was slightly whiter than the page in my notebook. It had a dot matrix pattern on it. I peeled it off and put it on the notebook to draw. The effect was good, so that was it.

Tear off the edges manually to create a tear-off effect that requires a lot of effort on the computer. After indicating the position, use tweezers and hands to apply it together, and then start picking out other stickers.

Hand-painted character stickers as themes, a large number of hand-painted plant stickers for decoration, text stickers, tape, sulfuric acid paper translucent sticky notes...

They were taken out one by one and pasted on top of each other, finally filling the two pages from scratch.

She mainly chose a relatively fresh green, with some borders and embellishment patterns using different shades of green, and some yellows with similar colors. The overall effect is very good.

Unconsciously, the collage notebook replaced the previous reading and excerpting, occupying a place in the morning reading time.

It was very interesting. Every time she rolled up the cowhide bag to reveal the small retro-style scissors and tweezers inside, she felt a sense of lightness and enjoyment would arise in her heart.

Well, before starting a new book, let’s move my morning reading time to collage journals for the time being.

A week in January passed like this. During this period, earthquake reports were still coming from the system from time to time. Sometimes she even didn't bother to open the visual window to take a look.

However, unlike the past December, she found that the temperature changes in January seemed to be more obvious——

The temperature dropped from 30 degrees above zero to 20 degrees throughout December, and it only dropped ten degrees in a month. But judging from the past week in January, it almost dropped by one degree in a day.

This cooling curve was very familiar. She scrolled forward on the graph twice and saw almost the same degree of cooling in June and July during the extreme cold phase.
