Galactic Conflict: I Restore the Glory of Humanity
Chapter 980: The Chaos Army Gathers
And what is the Dead Zone?
At the dawn of the Age of Indomitable, the Great Rift opened up, causing the dark energies of the Warp to erode reality, and psychic distress signals flooded the Imperium.
However, the Nephilim Sector was a completely silent area, which attracted the attention of the Ultramarines Primarch Roboute Guilliman.
This area came to be known as the "Death Zone", a part of the Necrons' plan to isolate reality from the Warp by constructing an anti-Warp matrix using negatively polarized Nightstone pillars.
Guilliman then dispatched a battle group from the First Fleet to investigate, commanded by naval officer Marlan.
After entering the Nephilim sector, they found that the warp engines were malfunctioning frequently, psykers were suppressed, and the entire area was filled with a suffocating "stasis".
Eventually, they discovered the Necron spires on Mesmok and realized they were the source of the suffocating effect.
The Necrons hope to completely isolate the Warp from real space through the Exorcism Dead Zone plan, thereby preventing the erosion of Chaos forces and lifting their own bio-conversion curse.
However, this plan directly threatens the survival of the Imperium of Man and all psionic races in the galaxy.
The Imperial army soon engaged in a fierce battle with the Necrons in the Nephilim sector.
Although the Empire invested a large number of troops, the Necrons relied on their powerful technology and psychic suppression to repeatedly frustrate the Imperial Army's attacks.
For example, in the battle of Mesmok, the Empire's orbital bombardment was blocked by the shield, and the ground forces were incapacitated by psychic suppression.
After this, Inquisitor Draxus claimed to have found a way to destroy the Necrons Tower, and with Cawl's support, attempted to turn the tide of the war.
However, the brutality of the war continued to escalate, and the military actions of both sides led to apocalyptic retaliation, and the entire Nephilim sub-sector fell into chaos.
And this battle became more chaotic with the participation of the Creator Vashtor.
Vash-Tor the Maker is a powerful Daemon and ruler of the Soulforge, who has renounced allegiance to any Chaos God and commands his own army called the Cult of the Maker.
Vashtor is a demigod of inventors, engineers, scientists, and craftsmen who has long remained isolated from most races.
In the physical universe, he is empowered by curiosity and innovation, and stripped of morality to drive him to the darkest extremes.
Vashtol has appeared only a few times in galactic history, and some occultists believe that he was created by a reckless arms race during some ancient intergalactic war.
Others believe that he was born from the horrors of the Dark Age of Technology, where he was shown to be the mastermind behind many horrific technologies.
It is said that events such as the rise of the Necrons, the Founding of the Damned, and the creation of the Primaris Space Marines also gave Vash-Tohr his power.
Vashtor is not a slave to the four Chaos Gods, but rather maintains his own sphere of influence and unique role in the Warp.
Vashtor is the Lord of the Soulforge, who grows powerful by bartering souls with any demonic damned who seek his aid in acquiring demonic weapons.
Still others were simply enslaved to his will and forced to join Vashtor's own army.
Despite having achieved so much, Vashtor became increasingly dissatisfied with his position.
He attempted to become the 5th Chaos God in his own right.
To this end, he attempts to fulfill a prophecy involving a mysterious "Key" and forms a partnership with Abaddon the Despoiler.
His proposal to Abaddon led to the construction of the Ark of Bad Omen and the war associated with it.
And the Soul-Exorcising Dead Zone became a battlefield where all parties fought each other because of this incident.
There were Orks with Bonebreakers, a large number of Eldar sects, Chaos Space Marines and all sorts of other miscellaneous forces joining the melee.
The Dead Zone has also evolved from being a place that was once isolated from the Warp to a popular check-in spot that almost every force in the Warhammer universe must visit.
The forces that headed to this place also used various strange methods to counter the Necrons' isolated subspace.
This also leads to the fact that the Necrons are almost becoming the biggest clowns in 40k.
As far as Yang Cheng knows, there is still some time before the battle to exorcise the dead zone begins. Because of the end of the plague war, almost all forces in the universe have set their sights on the empire.
They will all be curious about where these humans get their power from, and they and their legions will become the target of public criticism in the future.
........................
Deep in the Warp
In the vast and boundless subspace where stars shine like sand, a huge black ship as big as a mountain is shuttling among billions of stars in a steady and slow manner.
This huge ship is completely black, like a giant beast from the dark abyss, exuding a heart-pounding aura.
However, in this seemingly peaceful scene, a strange figure appeared inside the warship without warning.
This figure seemed out of place with the surrounding environment, as if he shouldn't be here.
Looking closely, I saw that the man's lower body was actually an extremely huge snake!
The snake's body was as thick as the body of a Titan in ancient mythology, covered with a layer of fine and tough scales, each of which shone with a cold light.
His upper body roughly retains the basic form of the human original, but with obvious differences - his body is much taller than that of an ordinary human, with well-defined muscles and full of explosive power.
He was wearing a gorgeous armor made of exotic metal, inlaid with various precious gems and mysterious runes, emitting a dazzling light.
His face was handsome and evil, his skin was a deep purple with a soft sheen.
Those narrow eyes were even more eye-catching, with a charming light flashing in the pupils, as if one glance could make people fall in love with them and unable to extricate themselves.
This suddenly appearing alien was the famous Fulgrim, the Primarch of the Emperor's Children Legion.
"Abaddon better explain why he called us here!"
A man who still maintained the basic form of a Space Marine led a group of Khorne demons out.
His armour and weapons are covered in blood and scars of battle, and his helmet is emblazoned with the symbol of Khorne, usually a blood-red eight-pointed star.
His armour and weapons are inlaid with the runes of Khorne, which glow blood-red after battle and being bloodied.
"Kahn, long time no see. How is your master? Or the vicious dog of the World Eaters?"
"It's none of your business, ugly guy!" Kahn roared after glaring at Fulgrim fiercely.
