Galactic Conflict: I Restore the Glory of Humanity
Chapter 629: Reason and Faith, Both Are Indispensable
"My lord, we discovered an unknown force fighting with the Zerg ahead. Should we attack together?" Calgar walked up to Guilliman, who was watching the video footage, and said to him respectfully.
"Wait a moment, let's not take action for now. Let's observe the enemy's situation from a bystander's perspective to ensure that the next combat operations can proceed smoothly." Guilliman said without turning his head, his eyes still on the screen in front of him.
Guilliman stood on the bridge of Macragge's Glory, his eyes focused and calm, his hands behind his back, exuding a majestic aura.
He looked at the Protoss fleet fighting the Zerg in the distance, silently thinking about the next strategic layout.
"Understood, sir." Karga and others saluted to show their obedience to the order.
They knew that Guilliman's decisions were often the result of careful consideration, and all they needed to do was trust and execute them.
Calgar and his companions stood on both sides of Guilliman, watching the battle scene in front of them quietly.
They looked serious, concentrating on analyzing the situation on the battlefield, while also waiting for Guilliman's next instructions.
"Archbishop, our troops on the front line can't hold on any longer." At this moment, a Protoss warrior hurried into the conference room of the Spear of Adun, interrupting the conversation between Artanis and many executives.
"Embracing the glory of Aiur, it is time for us to sacrifice." Artanis stood up, his voice firm and powerful.
His eyes swept across everyone in the conference room, and then as Artanis's eyes swept over them, every executive officer stood up and saluted at the same time.
"Request a call to the human empire's fleet. We need their support." Artanis said as he turned on the communicator on the side and then conveyed the message to the imperial warship in the distance.
"Sir! The enemy is sending us a message! But it will take time to decipher it!"
The communications officer in the battleship received an unknown message, and then he quickly reported the information to Guilliman who was watching the battle in the center of the bridge.
"Master Primarch, this is the message sent by the alien fleet to us. We should..."
Just as Calgar was about to say something, he saw Guilliman slowly stand up and take the information from the communications officer.
"You can figure out with your ass that these aliens are probably asking for help from us."
Guilliman said as he picked up his weapon and walked to the cabin at the rear of the battleship.
"My Lord Primarch, where are you going?"
Calgar asked, looking at Guilliman in confusion.
"Of course, to meet those aliens and see what they are capable of," Guilliman replied.
"But, my Lord Primarch, this is too risky..."
Calgar tried to dissuade Guilliman, but was interrupted by the latter.
"I am the son of the Emperor and the protector of mankind. I will not fear any danger. Moreover, if these aliens can really become our allies, then it will be a huge help to mankind. Therefore, I must go and understand the situation myself."
Guilliman said, then turned and left the bridge, leaving behind a worried Calgar.
"Let the Primarch's guards prepare, as well as the medical team in the rear..."
Karga reluctantly began to prepare for the worst.
In the cabin, Guilliman put on heavy power armor, picked up his weapon, then walked out of the cabin and came to the battleship's hangar.
"What should we do next, Master Primarch? Should we tear those aliens into pieces?"
Titus, Kaido and other Space Marines of the Ultramarines Legion lined up neatly, their eyes determined and full of expectation.
Hill stood in front of the team, his emotions were high, his eyes were full of excitement and enthusiasm, and he could not wait to ask Guilliman about the next plan of action.
Guilliman looked calmly at the soldiers in front of him, his voice steady and powerful: "No, on the contrary, we went to meet and negotiate with the other side."
Hill frowned and asked in confusion: "Master Primarch, please forgive me for being blunt, but I don't understand why we have to meet and negotiate with the enemy when we have such an advantage. Shouldn't we just completely eliminate those hateful aliens?"
Guilliman looked deeply at Hill. He understood the loyal warrior's desire for victory, but he knew that war was not just about killing.
He said slowly, "Hill, we are the 13th Legion, the Ultramarines. We are different from the bloodthirstiness of Angron, the faith of Lorgar, and the coldness of the Iron Warriors. We fight with reason and lead with wisdom. This meeting and negotiation is not just a simple dialogue, but also a strategy, a way to solve problems."
"Our empire needs rationality, not unbridled revenge. Otherwise, what is the difference between us and those demons?"
"The weapon of our legion is rationality, which is exactly what the Empire needs. Once we lose rationality, we will be one step closer to the destruction of human civilization." After saying this, Guilliman patted Hill on the shoulder and walked into the Thunder Eagle behind him.
"But...what if His Majesty punishes you..." Titus asked worriedly.
"I'll take it... If my father wants to punish someone, he'll punish me first..." After saying this, Guilliman sat in the Thunder Eagle.
Ciel was silent for a moment, considering Guilliman's words.
Then, Hill followed Guilliman into the Thunderhawk, sat down next to Guilliman and said, "I understand, Master Primarch. But please remember, if the other party is not sincere, we will not back down."
Guilliman smiled and nodded with satisfaction. He knew that although Sil could be impulsive at times, he was also a brave and intelligent warrior.
They will go to the meeting place with reason and courage to resolve the dispute peacefully or prepare for possible battle.
For they are the Ultramarines, one of the 20 Legions created by the Emperor, the sons of the Primarch Guilliman, and will march forward fearlessly, unto death, no matter what challenge they face.
"Prepare for takeoff, get ready for battle."
More than 20 strong men from the Ultramarines followed Guilliman onto the Thunderhawk gunship, and then took off from the engine room.
A few minutes later, the Thunderhawk gunboat entered the hangar of the Spear of Adun. Hundreds of Protoss warriors drew their light blades, ready to face Guilliman and others.
"Kakakaka..."
As the harsh sound of gears turned echoed throughout the cabin, the door of the Thunder Hawk gunship slowly opened.
