The Dark Angels are not just a simple legion with sequence number 1, but an existence with special status and glory.

Not only were they the first Astartes Legion to be created, but they were also founded by the Emperor himself.

The Legion can trace its roots back to the days of the Great Crusade, when they served as the Emperor's personal army.

In the beginning, the members of the Dark Angels were a group of bloodthirsty killers.

These warriors are regarded as the Emperor's elite forces, and their existence is the best interpretation of the title "Emperor's Angels of Death".

They kept pushing forward, ruthlessly crushing any enemies that stood in their way.

The Dark Angels are extremely proud of their status as the premier Legion, and act as mentors to other younger Legions.

They are willing to pass on their experience and knowledge to help those newly established corps grow and develop.

The first Dark Angels to arrive from Terra during the Great Crusade learned a variety of different techniques of warfare in their early battles.

As time went on, the various combat groups within the Legion began to merge with each other, forming the so-called "Six Wings".

The six wings refer to six combat groups with different specialties. Each of these six combat groups has a unique tactical style and skill expertise to adapt to different types of war environments and mission requirements.

When the Lion later returned to the Legion, he reorganized the Six Wings into the regular Order-Chapter-Company structure of the Dark Angels Legion.

In this way, the six wings became an important part of the Dark Angel Legion, and each wing had its own specific duties and tasks.

Every Space Marine of the Dark Angels Legion, regardless of rank, is a member of a wing.

This organizational structure allows everyone to fully utilize their expertise and work closely with members of other wings to form a strong whole.

Each Astartes is both a part of the legion and independent of it.

Each wing was commanded by an officer known as a "directly elected lieutenant" and several of his elected successors, who were outside the regular chain of command of the legion.

This special command structure gives each wing greater autonomy and decision-making power, enabling them to respond more quickly to various emergencies.

Before the return of the Primarch, the naming and organization of the First Legion's Celestial Host was different from the Winged Host later created by Lion El'Jonson.

At the beginning, the heavenly army was divided into the Crown Heavenly Army, the Blade Heavenly Army, the Pentacle Heavenly Army, the Iron Heavenly Army, the Fire Heavenly Army, the Skeleton Heavenly Army, the Stone Heavenly Army, the Howling Wind Heavenly Army, and the Void Heavenly Army.

After the Primarch's return, they were divided into six wings.

Its six wings are Death Wing, Raven Wing, Hurricane Wing, Terror Wing, Fire Wing, and Iron Wing.

The Ravenwing members are known for their excellent mobility and are skilled in tactics such as mobile warfare, guerrilla warfare, skirmish warfare, and orbital airdrops.

The Death Wing is composed of former breakers and experienced veterans. Their mission is to tear apart the enemy's formation and create a breakthrough for their own units.

These brave and fearless warriors often face the enemy directly and demonstrate their tenacious fighting ability. As guards for senior officers, they are always ready to protect the commander's safety and launch a charge at critical moments.

The Deathwing excels in coordinating with other Legion units, and is particularly adept at performing specialized tasks, such as providing support to larger Hurricanewings.

They are good at facing the enemy at close range and disrupting the enemy's plans and lines. This ability to work together allows them to exert a more powerful force on the battlefield and put tremendous pressure on the enemy.

Iron Wings are not good at detailed planning, their expertise is large-scale armored warfare, operating artillery and dreadnought mecha. Iron Wings are good at siege warfare and using massive armored units for rapid attacks.

The Fire Wings are the smallest of the six wings, but their power should not be underestimated.

They are dedicated to the bloody and exquisite art of war, and are good at using spies and assassins to determine the direction of the war. These hidden blades can always deal a fatal blow to the enemy at the critical moment.

The Dreadwings are the most terrifying of the six wings. They are the ultimate weapon of the Legion and will only be summoned when facing the most powerful enemy or when the enemy needs to be completely eliminated.

The members of the Dreadwing are skilled in mass destruction and purification of the enemy, possessing a strong combat capability. They are able to deploy Exterminator-level weapons, which are powerful enough to destroy an entire planet.
